Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the effect of Black Soldier Fly larvae substitution in the ration on duck performance. This study used a randomized block design with three treatments and six replications (P0: 0% BSF larvae, P1: 10% BSF larvae, and P2: 20% BSF larvae). The research parameters are body weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio (FCR), and final body weight. The results showed that the substitution treatment of BSF larvae in the ration had a significant effect (P<0.05) on body weight gain. Average body weight of ducks ranged from 176.13–195.80gr/head. The substitution treatment of BSF larvae had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the FCR of ducks. The average FCR of ducks ranges from 1.70 – 1.79g/head. The conclusion of the study was that substitution of 20% fresh BSF larvae in the ration (P2) gave the best results on duck performance.Keyword: Black Soldier Fly Larvae, Duck, Feed Substitution, Performance

Abstract

Kesehatan dan kesejahteraan dalam rumah tangga akan meningkat jika kaum perempuan atau yang bisa disebut ibu memiliki keterampilan yang bisa membuat lebih produktif. Kecamatan Kabat tepatnya di Desa Labanasem terdapat 60 Ibu-ibu PKK yang mayoritas belum produktifitas secara ekonomi. Kegiatan Ibu PKK selama ini mengacu pada 10 program yang telah di tetapkan pemerintah,namun masih ada beberapa kegiatan yang masih belum terlaksana.salah satu program yang belum sepenuhnya terlaksana adalah program pendidikan dan keterampilan, sehinga terdapat beberapa permasalahan yaitu: 1. Rendahnya Ketrampilan Ibu-ibu PKK dalam pembuatan makanan kekinian, 2. Rendahnya Produktifias ibu-ibu PKK secara ekonomi, 3. Rendahnya keterampilan ibu-ibu PKK dalam promosi sosial media (digital marketing). Solusi dari permasalahan tersebut adalah Pelatihan Pembuatan Desert box berbahan tahu dan gula merah menggunakan fasilitasi peralatan mixer dough dan steamer.

Abstract

Penelitian..ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas pelayanan yang ada pada Warung Makan (WM) Geprek Jombang di Kecamatan Jombang, Kabupaten Jombang. Penelitian ini menggunakan 5 dimensi yang ada pada kualitas pelayanan yaitu kehandalan (reliability), daya tanggap (responsiveness), bukti fisik (tangible), jaminan (assurance), empati (empathy). Populasi pada penelitian ini yakni seluruh konsumen WM Geprek Jombang, penelitian menggunakan metode pengambilan data purposive sampling dengan total sampel yang diambil 120 sampel responden. Metode ini digunakan untuk memilih responden sesuai dengan kriteria yang sudah ditentukan diantaranya umur minimal 17 tahun, dan memiliki rasio berkunjung minimal 2 kali. Hasil penelitian ini ditunjukkan oleh hasil uji F yang dimana nilai sig. 0,000 < 0,05 yang artinya variabel-variabel tersebut secara bersama-sama memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kepuasan konsumen dengan Uji T menunjukkan hasil antara lain, daya tanggap, jaminan dan empati memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel kepuasan konsumen. Variabel jaminan memiliki pengaruh paling dominan dibandingkan dengan variabel lainnya.

Abstract

Rubber latex is a raw material for Indonesia's strategic plantations and is the largest contributor to the country's foreign exchange after palm oil. Several places in Indonesia have land conditions that are suitable for rubber plantations, one of which is the rubber plantation owned by Perumda Perkebunan Kahyangan Jember. However, in recent years, income from Perumda Perkebunan Kahyangan Jember has continued to decline, so it is necessary to formulate an optimization strategy which is expected to have a positive impact and be able to increase rubber latex production in Perumda Perkebunan Kahyangan Jember. This research uses SWOT and QSPM analysis methods. The results of the research show that there are several factors that influence rubber latex production, both internal and external factors, from these factors several alternative strategies have been produced, including the use of protective umbrellas, producing high quality rubber raw materials, improving production facilities and infrastructure, optimizing technology. for production and promotion. A suitable strategy to be implemented at Perumda Perkebunan Kahyangan Jember is the use of protective umbrellas because the application is quite simple and can function to maintain the quality of production and the quality of rubber latex..

Abstract

Bekamal is a local Banyuwang processed food product. Bekamal is actually a preservation method that uses salt and sugar. Generally, people make Bekamal from beef or goat meat. The meat is finely chopped, then salt and sugar are added and placed in a closed container for 1 to 3 months. Bekamal has advantages, including low cholesterol levels, and can be processed into various kinds of food preparations, such as bekamal chilli sauce. Many people don't know how to make bekamal or how to process it. The extension programme is able to provide knowledge and experience on how to make bekamal, a local Banyuwangi product.

Abstract

UD Karya Etawa Farm merupakan salah satu usaha yang memproduksi dan menjual susu kambing di Kelurahan Kalipuro, Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Permasalahan umum yang dialami oleh peternak kambing perah yaitu susu kambing yang mudah rusak akibat mikroba dan bau prengus. Teknologi ozon dapat digunakan untuk membunuh berbagai macam mikoorganisme pathogen. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pembuatan alat, pelatihan dan pengujian hasil susu. Hasil kegiatan pembuatan alat ozon dirancang untuk home industri dengan kapasitas pengoperasian 3 liter per menit. Sosialiasasi kegiatan pengabdian agar peternak mengetahui fungsi dan manfaat alat ozon pada susu. Teknologi ini mampu memberikan manfaat yakni Total Plate Count mikroba susu 5,9 x 104 CFU/ml dan aroma susu kambing tidak prengus. Teknologi ozon mampu mengatasi masalah di peternak kambing perah. Kata Kunci: Susu kambing, Teknologi ozon dan UD Karya Etawa Farm.

Abstract

Chicken meat is a food that is easily damaged, so preservation was required to maintain the quality of the meat both physically, chemically, and microbiologically. One way is to use galangal, which contains phenols, flavonoids, and terpenoid compounds, which reduce microbial activity and inhibit the chemical activity of meat. The research aimed to determine the effect of curing time and galangal concentration on chicken meat's physical and chemical quality. The research method used a 2-factor Completely Randomized Design. The results showed no interaction (p>0.01) between curing time and galangal concentration. The length of curing from 0-4 days has a significantly different effect (p<0.01) on chicken meat's physical and chemical quality. The longer the meat is curing, the quality decreases. Galangal, 10-20% concentration, did not affect chicken meat quality (p>0.01). It means that galangal can maintain the physical and chemical quality of chicken meat.

Abstract

(Biological test feed intake, population rumen bacteria and ph pellet complete calf starter friesian holstein on pre weaning calf)ABSTRACT. The study aims to assess the quality of the formula Complete Calf Starter (CCS) with 5% molasses instead of milk to the development of rumen microbial calf Holstein Friesian (HF) pre-weaning. The material used is 20 head calf FH pre weaning age of 2 weeks. Feed intake data taken from 20 respondents consisted of 16 females and 4 calf tail male calf. Data rumen bacterial populations and pH were taken from 5 head of cattle slaughtered at the age of 2 weeks (one tail), 4 weeks (2-tailed) and 6 weeks (2-tailed). The study was designed as a descriptive non-parametric. Parameters measured were rumen bacterial populations, pH and feed intake. The results showed the average consumption of dry matter (DM) and CCS calf milk FH ages 2, 4, 6 weeks respectively at 506, 517, 528 grams. Rumen bacterial populations in calves aged 2, 4, and 6 weeks of 80x106, 45x106 and 19x106 kol/m. ruminal pH in calves aged 2, 4 and 6 weeks was 5.71, 5.36 and 5.55. Biological test showed that the use of complete calf starter (CCS) in the form of pellets FH calves at the age of 2 weeks to stimulate the development of the rumen (feed intake, the population of bacteria and pH) but not in calves aged 4 and 6 weeks. This is because the number of bacterial populations declined due to impaired absorption is impaired absorption of VFA marked low rumen pH.

Abstract

Lemon grass (Cymbopogon citratus) has been valued for its aromatic and medicinal properties. This study explores itsrole in improving carcass quality and final body weight in broilers. The increasing global demand for high-quality meat productsnecessitates sustainable animal production systems. Traditional methods often use synthetic additives and antibiotics, raisingconcerns about food safety and environmental impact. Thus, natural alternatives like lemon grass, rich in essential oils,flavonoids, and phenolic compounds, are gaining attention. This experiment, conducted at Politeknik Negeri Lampung using fourthreatments and five replications and for further test using Duncan. The highest body weight and carcass percentage wereobserved in broilers with 1.5% lemon grass extract in drinking water. This study confirms lemon grass's potential as a naturalfeed additive, promoting sustainable and efficient livestock farming practices while improving meat production quality. Furtherresearch is recommended to optimize inclusion rates and understand long-term effects.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaksimalkan pembelajaran mahasiswa di Prodi Peternakan Jurusan Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Lampung pada mata kuliah produksi ternak perah melalui implementasi model pembelajaran project atau PjBL (Project Based Learning). Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan deskripsi kualitatif, hasil penelitian dijabarkan secara deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa semester 3 Program Studi S1 Peternakan Jurusan Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Lampung sebanyak 75 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa model pembelajaran project atau PjBL (Project Based Learning) dapat mengasah dan menggali kemampuan digital skill mahasiswa Prodi Peternakan Jurusan Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Lampung melalui digital skill berupa Barcode data ternak perah sangat mudah dibaca, dengan sekali scan barcode data recording ternak akan terlihat secara lengkap. Dengan cara scan barcode dapat diharapkan mempermudah dan membantu peternak dalam melakukan pencatatan ternak yang dimilikinya atau recording ternak.
