Abstract

It is alleged that the severity of poverty between fishing communities and farming communities is different. Therefore, the aim of this research is to compare the factors that differentiate the severity of poverty between fishing communities and farming communities in rural areas. This research took the case of fishing communities from Air Napal Sub District, Bengkulu Utara District, and farming communities from Pondok Kelapa Sub District, Bengkulu Tengah District. Data was collected through interviews, observation, group discussions, and documentation methods. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out using quantitative methods and qualitative-descriptive methods. The results of the research show that the level (index) of poverty severity in fishing communities is higher (more severe) than in farming communities. Other findings show that the differences in the severity of poverty between these two communities are quite high due to differences in the quality of capital systems, differences in the quality of efforts (facilities and infrastructure), differences in the quality of product marketing network systems, differences in the quality of related cooperative institutions, differences in the quality of social capital, differences in the quality of roles. relevant government agencies, and differences in weather quality and/or pests. Keywords: severity of poverty, fishing communities, farming communities Abstrak Diduga tingkat keparahan kemiskinan antara masyarakat nelayan dan masyarakat petani berbeda. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan faktor-faktor yang membedakan tingkat keparahan kemiskinan antara masyarakat nelayan dan masyarakat petani di daerah pedesaan. Penelitian ini mengambil kasus komunitas nelayan dari Kecamatan Air Napal, Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara, dan komunitas petani dari Kecamatan Pondok Kelapa, Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, diskusi kelompok, dan metode dokumentasi. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan metode kualitatif-deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat (indeks) keparahan kemiskinan di masyarakat nelayan lebih tinggi (lebih parah) dibandingkan di masyarakat petani. Temuan lain menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan tingkat keparahan kemiskinan antara kedua komunitas ini cukup tinggi karena perbedaan kualitas sistem permodalan, perbedaan kualitas usaha (sarana dan prasarana), perbedaan kualitas sistem jaringan pemasaran produk, perbedaan kualitas lembaga koperasi terkait, perbedaan kualitas modal sosial,  perbedaan kualitas peran. instansi pemerintah terkait, dan perbedaan kualitas cuaca dan/atau hama. Abstract

Pelat baja dinding geser Steel Plate Shear Wall (SPSW) merupakan sebuah struktur penahan beban lateral elemen yang terdapat tiga elemen di dalamnya, yaitu pelat/panel, balok atau Horizontal Boundary Elements (HBE) dan kolom atau Vertical Boundary elements (VBE). Kolom dan balok yang besar dibutuhkan oleh SPSW panel solid untuk menahan gaya aksial dan momen guling yang terjadi. SPSW yang memiliki lubang pada pelat baja untuk mengurangi gaya memungkinkan penggunaan pelat baja lebih tebal yang meningkatkan kekakuan dan disipasi energy tanpa menambah ukuran balok dan kolom. Cara melubangi SPSW adalah dengan mengebor sepanjang diagonal papan. Pendekatan ini terdiri dari lubang – lubang bundar, persegi panjang, heksagonal yang disusun sepanjang diagonal pelat baja. SPSW perlubangan circle adalah yang paling efisien dalam hal load carrying capacity, top displacement, hysteresis curves dan failure mode. Program software Abaqus 6.10 digunakan dalam penyelesaiannya.

Abstract

Background: At present, the process of physical education learning has incorporated the use of video-based interactive media, with the aim of optimising the achievement of learning outcomes. However, to the best of our knowledge, there remains a notable gap in research that explores the application of video-based interactive media in enhancing critical thinking and fostering greater interest in learning among students, particularly through mixed-method research. Research Objective: The aim of this study is to examine the impact of video-based interactive media on the development of critical thinking skills and the enhancement of students’ interest in learning physical education in junior high schools within Surabaya City. Methods: This study utilised a mixed-methods approach, with a research sample comprising 33 eighth-grade students who were divided into two groups: an experimental group (n = 17) using media-based learning and a control group (n = 16) employing traditional teaching methods. The research instruments included a critical thinking questionnaire, an interest in learning survey, and in-depth interviews to gather qualitative data. Finding/Results: Statistical analysis showed a significant increase in students’ critical thinking skills in the experimental group; the average post-test score increased to 59.1 (p < 0.05), while the control group showed 55.0. Thus, students’ interest in learning increased to 95.6 (p < 0.05), while the control group increased to 98.1. Qualitative findings showed that students using video-based interactive media expressed greater interest and demonstrated increased critical thinking due to the interactive and flexible nature of visual presentations. However, challenges related to technology access, such as reliance on internet connectivity and network stability, were identified as limiting factors. Conclusion: Our research confirms that involving video-based interactive media learning is an effective way to change critical thinking skills and interest in learning among students. This study contributes important information for teachers so that they can use video-based interactive media learning programs continuously in the future.

Abstract

The challenges faced by young people today in shaping their morality from adolescence can be identified through Physical Education (PE) learning. PE plays a significant role in shaping the morals and character of adolescent students. It goes beyond focusing solely on knowledge and psychomotor skills, incorporating essential moral aspects. By promoting discipline, fostering collaboration, and instilling a sense of responsibility, PE helps in molding well-rounded individuals.The objective of this study was to identify the moral values of adolescent students through PE learning. A descriptive research method with a quantitative approach was employed. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale questionnaire. The sample consisted of 64 junior high school students selected through random sampling techniques. This research utilized three indicators to describe the moral values of adolescent students: discipline, collaboration, and responsibility. The classification for determining good morals was based on standard categories of excellent, good, fair, poor, and very poor. The results showed that the moral values of adolescent students were as follows: 20% of students were classified as excellent, 78% as good, and 2% as fair, with no students falling into the poor or very poor categories. These findings indicate that PE learning significantly contributes to the moral development of adolescent students. Consequently, it can be concluded that PE learning is integral to shaping the morals of adolescent students, playing a crucial role in their overall development and character building. The positive impact observed underscores the importance of incorporating moral education within the PE curriculum to nurture disciplined, collaborative, and responsible individuals.

Abstract

Upaya peningkatan layanan mahasiswa dengan memberikan kemudahan mahasiswa yang menuju dan keluar dari lingkungan Ubhara Surabaya dengan berkendara motor atau mobil, yaitu dengan menyediakan fasilitas alat yang dapat memudahkan mahasiswa bila terjadi permasalah pada tekanan angin ban kendaraannya. Dari hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan terdapat problem apabila kendaraan tersebut mengalami kendala kekurang tekanan angin pada ban, dan kesimpulan dari problem tersebut maka perlu disediakan fasilitas alat berupa pompa angin. Untuk merealisasikannya harus tersedia lahan sebagai tempat untuk meletakkan alat pompa yang ditempatkan secara permanen berupa bangunan yang sekaligus dapat melindungi pompa dari sinar matahari dan air hujan. Dari hasil kegiatan rancang bangun bangunan rumah pompa angin bertenaga surya telah direalisasikan sepenuhnya, dan telah dimanfaatkan oleh para mahasiswa yang berkendara saat ada kendala tekanan angin pada roda kendaraannya.

Abstract

This inquiry about points to uncover the essential manipulative development abilities, particularly tossing and catching the ball, in review IVB understudies at UPT SDN 168 Gresik through applying the problem-based learning (PBL) show. This thinks about included 18 understudies, comprising 8 guys and 10 females, who took part in two cycles of fundamental manipulative development learning. Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan motivasi dan hasil belajar passing sepakbola pada masa pandemic Covid-19. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk komparatif yang bertujuan membandingkan objek satu dengan objek lainnya. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data primer dengan menggunakan angket atau kuisioner melalui google form. Proses untuk mengumpulkan data dilakukan dengan cara membagikan angket kepada responden, untuk mendapatkan atau memperoleh data. Selain itu dilaksanakan tes keterampilan passing sepak bola. Sampel yang dijadikan dalam penelitian ini sebnyak 107 mahasiswa. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu rata-rata motivasi belajar laki-laki lebih besar dibandingkan dengan perempuan dan hasil belajar passing sepakbola perempuan lebih besar dibandingkan laki-laki. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan yaitu terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar passing sepakbola pada masa pandemic covid-19.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi dalam pendidikan memungkinkan penggunaan media digital untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Salah satu media yang dapat dimanfaatkan adalah video berbasis Canva dalam proses belajar-mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penggunaan media belajar-mengajar video berbasis Canva terhadap hasil belajar passing atas bolavoli pada murid kelas X di SMK Negeri 2 Kota Mojokerto pada Juni 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest, yang melibatkan dua kelas sebagai sampel: kelas eksperimen (X PS 1) yang menggunakan media Canva dan kelas kontrol (X PS 2) yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pengetahuan dan tes keterampilan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan signifikan dalam hasil belajar, dengan rerata nilai pengetahuan naik dari 67,78 pada pre-test menjadi 90,56 pada post-test, dan nilai keterampilan naik dari 58,89 menjadi 68,33. Sebaliknya, kelas kontrol hanya mengalami kenaikan nilai pengetahuan dari 70,83 menjadi 83,89, sementara nilai keterampilan menurun dari 60,55 menjadi 54,72. Uji hipotesis dengan tes Wilcoxon menunjukkan bahwa media Canva berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar dengan nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) < 0,05, yang mengindikasikan penerimaan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) dan penolakan hipotesis nol (H0). Kesimpulannya, media belajar-mengajar berbasis Canva efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar passing atas bolavoli, dengan kenaikan hasil belajar sebesar 22,88% pada kelas eksperimen.

Abstract

This research is based on student activities both in the school environment and activities outside of school which are felt to have an influence on the level of physical fitness, then the aim of carrying out this research is to find out the description of the physical fitness level of class XI MIA students at SMA Negeri 21 Surabaya. This research is included in non-experimental research, namely in this research the results of external validity are more emphasized with the aim of providing real data results without any manipulation or intervention from various parties to the samples studied. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method for collecting data in research. The instrument used in this research was the MFT test or Multistage Fitness Test. The data analysis technique used is a descriptive test which includes mean, standard deviation and percentage. After carrying out research on class XI MIA students at SMA Negeri 21 Surabaya, the results showed that the physical fitness level of class The average MFT results show a low value, with the highest average in class XI MIA 4 at 29.81 and the lowest average in class XI MIA 3 at 22.54. The percentage of students in the very poor category with class XI MIA 1 reaching 100% at the very low level, class XI MIA 3 reaching 88.23%, class . Meanwhile, the sufficient category was only found in a few students in class XI MIA 3.
