Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in the average mathematical thinking ability of students taught by the PBL learning model assisted by an ethnolinear e-module based on ethnomathematics with the direct learning model. The research method used is quantitative, with a quasi-experimental design research form. The study was conducted at SMPN 2 Bae. The population of this study was 246 students. Sampling was carried out using random sampling techniques, namely classes VIII A and VIII D. Data collection techniques with mathematical thinking ability tests. Data analysis techniques using normality tests, homogeneity tests, N-Gain tests, and Mann-Whitney tests. Based on the results of the posttest of mathematical thinking skills, it was found that the average value of the mathematical thinking skills of students in the experimental class who were given treatment using the PBL model assisted by ethnolinear e-modules based on ethnomathematics was 63.71, higher than that of students in the control class who were given treatment using the direct learning model of 46.31, so it can be concluded that the average mathematical thinking skills of students who were taught the PBL learning model assisted by the Ethnolinear e-module were better than those taught the direct learning model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based instruction dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah I Kudus. jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Data hasil tes dianalisis dengan uji anava satu jalan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada kelompok eksperimen lebih baik dari kelas kontrol. Kemampuan berpikir kritis yang diamati meliputi; kemampuan mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis masalah, kemampuan memecahkan masalah, kemampuan menentukan solusi yang tepat dan menyimpulkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk meneliti efektivitas penerapan model Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV pada materi pengukuran luas dan volume dengan menggunakan media PPT. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri Bogotanjung 02 dengan jumlah sampel 15 siswa. Dari keseluruhan 15 siswa 37,5% diantaranya sudah mencapai nilai Kriteria Ketercapaian Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP) dan sisanya 62,5% belum mencapai KKTP dengan nilai KKTP 70. Penerapan model pembelajaran yang masih terbatas dalam setiap materi yang disampaikan membuat siswa kesulitan dalam memahami materi. Model Problem Based Learning atau yang biasa disebut dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat dikaitkan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari akan membuat siswa lebih mudah dalam memahami materi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Pre-Experimental Design dengan jenis One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes berupa pretest-posttest. Hasil analisis menggunakan uji Paired Sample t-Test diperoleh nilai signifikasi 0,000 dimana (0,000<0,05) artinya hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkan model Problem Based Learning menggunakan media PPT lebih baik dibandingkan sebelum diteapkan model tersebut. Peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar dilihat dengan rata-rata pretest 61,8 dan rata-rata posttest 76,8 dengan rata-rata nilai N-Gain 0,39 dalam kategori sedang. Model Problem Based Learning menggunakan media PPT efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Sehingga dapat menjadi solusi bagi guru untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang efektif dengan hasil belajar yang baik.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Salah satu pilar kurikulum merdeka adalah adanya suatu pembelajaran aktif, kreatif, efektif dan menyenangkan. Pada praktik nya beberapa SMP di Kudus masih memerlukan pendalaman terkait pilar tersebut khususnya untuk pembelajaran matematika. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan dan mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran pregola dan media berbasis aplikasi android sebagai sumber belajar. Metode:Participant active learning. Hasil: Guru Matematika SMP di Kabupaten Kudus dapat mengenal dan memahami model PREGOLA berbantuan aplikasi android dalam pembelajaran matematika SMP, guru Matematika SMP di Kabupaten Kudus dapat merancang dan menyusun modul ajar menggunakan model PREGOLA berbantuan aplikasi android, guru Matematika SMP di Kabupaten Kudus dapat menyusun bahan ajar matematika berbasis model PREGOLA berbantuan aplikasi android, dan guru Matematika SMP di Kabupaten Kudus dapat melakukan simulasi dan praktik pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model PREGOLA berbantuan aplikasi android. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini menjadikan guru MGMP Matematika SMP di Kabupaten Kudus mampu melakukan inovasi pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model PREGOLA berbantuan aplikasi android.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa menggunakan model Problem Based Learning berbasis STEAM berbantuan media MONKABICO. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif bentuk quasy eksperimental dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah 108 siswa kelas V Se-gugus Ismoyo, Kecamatan Jati, Kabupaten Kudus. Sampel penelitian adalah 61 siswa kelas V terdiri SD 1 Loram Kulon dan SD 1 Getas Pejaten tahun ajaran 2022/2023 dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknis tes berupa soal essay pretest-posttest kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis penelitian (N-gain score dan uji-t). Hasil menunjukkan N-gain score kelas eksperimen 0,54 (kategori sedang) dan N-gain score kelas kontrol 0,38 (kategori sedang). Hal ini juga pengujian oleh uji-t dilakukan pada taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh 0,000 ? 0,05, maka H0 ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa antara kelompok siswa yang menggunakan model Problem Based Learning berbasis STEAM berbantuan media MONKABICO dengan kelompok siswa yang menggunakan model Problem Based Learning tanpa media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manakah yang mempunyai hasil belajar lebih baik, siswa dengan minat belajar tinggi, sedang atau rendah pada siswa kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah 1 Kudus pada penerapan pendekatan scientific. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain anava 2 jalan dengan rancangan faktorial 23. Data hasil tes dianalisis dengan uji anava 2 jalan dengan hasil Fobs Fa = 122,63 3,0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga minat belajar (tinggi, sedang, rendah) siswa memberikan efek yang berbeda terhadap prestasi belajar antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol.

Abstract

Reasoning refers to the structured and logical process of drawing conclusions from given premises. Students of mathematics education, who are being prepared as future educators, are expected to possess strong logical reasoning skills in order to comprehend and convey more advanced mathematical concepts. This study aims to analyze the reasoning abilities of mathematics education students in determining the truth value of quantified statements. The central research question is: How do students' reasoning abilities relate to the accuracy of their problem-solving in the context of quantification? An explorative qualitative approach was employed to explore students' reasoning in evaluating the truth values of quantified statements. The study involved 13 students from the Mathematics Education Department at Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo who were enrolled in the Mathematical Foundations course during the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection instruments included a set of test questions and open-ended interview protocols. The analysis focused on indicators of mathematical reasoning, including: (1) identifying facts, patterns, properties, and relationships, (2) drawing logical conclusions, (3) making predictions and solving problems, and (4) constructing systematic and valid arguments. Following the written assessment, three students representing different levels of performance were selected for in-depth interviews. The findings revealed that while all three participants demonstrated potential in mathematical reasoning, each exhibited specific areas requiring further development. Subject N was proficient in deconstructing quantification problems and drawing logical conclusions, although further probing during the interview revealed gaps in deeper conceptual understanding. Subject A displayed semantic comprehension of quantification but lacked precision in applying formal logic and integrating numerical analysis. Subject F demonstrated a verbal understanding of truth value criteria and was capable of drawing conclusions, yet faced challenges with formal notation, particularly with singular quantifiers. Overall, the participants exhibited promising reasoning abilities but required reinforcement in interpreting formal notation, constructing valid arguments, and accurately applying logical structures. Misinterpretations of quantifier symbols and formal argument patterns were identified as common errors.      Keywords: mathematical reasoning, truth valu, quantification.

Abstract

Background: The low quality of education can be improved by fixing existing problems in the learning process, one of which is that teachers can carry out classroom action research activities. Therefore, this service team provides training in preparing PTK which aims to mobilize, direct, provide appropriate technology that can encourage teachers to design and create PTK. Method: The method used was lecture, question and answer, discussion, exchange of opinions and practice using audience centered techniques to SD 4 Karangmalang teachers consisting of 9 teachers and 1 principal. Results: Through this service activity, teachers are able to understand strategies in preparing PTK. Conclusion: Apart from that, this activity is expected to improve teachers' writing skills.

Abstract

Problem-solving skills are essential in improving the creative, critical, and logical thinking skills needed in mathematics learning and daily life. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of problem-based learning (PBL)-assisted ethnomathematics-based Geocube e-module on problem-solving skills. This quantitative research applied a quasi-experimental design. The specific design applied in this research is the non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of 32 participants, all of whom were students involved in this study. Research instruments included test questions. The researchers analysed the data using a two-sample t-test for independent samples and an N-gain test. The results showed that the application of the PBL learning model assisted by the Geocub e-module based on ethnomathematics effectively improved problem-solving skills. It can be seen that (1) the average mathematical problem-solving skills of students in the experimental class were better than the control class, (2) there is an increase in the average of students' mathematical problem-solving skills after being taught the PBL model assisted by the Geocub e-module based on ethnomathematics. The researchers concluded that the implementation of PBL, assisted with the ethnomathematics-based Geocub e-module, effectively improved the mathematics problem-solving skills of the students.

Abstract

The aim of this service activity is to optimize the teacher's ability to understand writing scientific articles as well as knowing how to publish them in scientific journals. With the guidance of the facilitator, teachers are expected to be able to write scientific articles and publish them in scientific journals. The target of this service is to provide technological knowledge related to how to publish articles in scientific journals to partner elementary school teachers by providing knowledge and skills to elementary school 4 teachers in Karangmalang, Kudus Regency in the form of interactive training and assistance in scientific article writing training and training and assistance in publishing in scientific journals. The method used in this service includes several stages, including: planning, implementation, follow-up (products resulting from training and mentoring), simulation, practice and evaluation. The result of this activity was that the teachers at SD 4 Karangmalang, Kudus Regency were able to design, create and publish scientific articles in scientific journals.
