Abstract

Companies most likely give a great deal of attention to workers' performance, as they should be doing. Employees need to be taken into consideration since they are highly crucial to building productivity and profitability, which, in turn, may have repercussions for the success of a business. However, these results will only occur with excellent performance from employees. This research was conducted to know whether self-efficacy and transformational leadership partially or simultaneously affect job performance. Participants in this study were randomly selected from PT. Panca Mitra Multiprima. In this research project, a random sampling approach was used to collect data, and 128 samples were obtained. Meanwhile, we used a questionnaire that had previously been tested for validity and reliability for data collection purposes. In this study, multiple linear regression analysis was the method of choice for data mining. According to research findings, transformational leadership and self-efficacy have an excellent effect on work performance, but only transformational leadership is significant. Self-efficacy, on the other hand, is not significant. In addition, the two different aspects of work performance simultaneously have a good and substantial influence.

Abstract

The furniture manufacturing industry plays a crucial role in the global economy, driven by changing consumer lifestyles, urbanization, and the rapid expansion of the property sector. As demand for high-quality and eco-friendly furniture rises, ensuring high team member engagement becomes essential for maintaining productivity and innovation. This study examines the impact of supervisor support, Meaningful Work, and happiness at work on team member engagement in the furniture industry. Using the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) theory, this research explores how job resources enhance engagement by increasing motivation and reducing job demands. Data were collected through team member surveys in furniture companies and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that supervisor support, Meaningful Work, and happiness at work significantly influence team member engagement, with happiness at work emerging as the strongest predictor. This study contributes to the literature by integrating the JD-R theory within the furniture industry context. The findings suggest that organizations should implement strategies that foster team member happiness, create meaningful work experiences, and strengthen supervisor support to enhance engagement and overall performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership (TL) on innovation capability (IC), with knowledge management capability (KMC) serving as a mediating variable among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Surabaya. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was employed by distributing questionnaires to 290 MSME actors across various sectors. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that TL has a positive and significant effect on IC, confirming that transformational leadership fosters the development of an innovative work culture. Moreover, TL also exerts a positive and significant influence on KMC, indicating that transformational leaders play a crucial role in strengthening knowledge management systems through motivation, inspiration, and collaboration. Furthermore, KMC was found to positively and significantly affect IC, suggesting that knowledge management acts as a key catalyst in enhancing innovation within MSMEs. Another important finding demonstrates that KMC significantly mediates the relationship between TL and IC, implying that the impact of transformational leadership on innovation becomes more effective when facilitated by optimal knowledge management practices. Theoretically, this study contributes to the expansion of the literature on the relationship between TL, KMC, and IC in the MSME context, while practically, it provides valuable implications for MSME owners and managers to integrate transformational leadership with reinforced knowledge management in order to achieve sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of supervisor support on job satisfaction and turnover intention in the workplace. Supervisor support is considered a key factor in creating a positive work environment and motivating employees. The study involves the analysis of direct effects of supervisor support on job satisfaction and its influence on employee turnover intention. The research methodology includes surveys and data analysis from respondents PT. Polywood Industry Sinar Wijaya Surabaya. Statistical analysis results show a positive relationship between supervisor support and employee job satisfaction. These findings illustrate that supervisors who provide effective support tend to enhance employee job satisfaction in the workplace. Furthermore, the study explores the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between supervisor support and employee turnover intention. Mediation analysis results indicate that job satisfaction partially mediates the positive impact of supervisor support on turnover intention. This suggests that through the enhancement of job satisfaction, supervisor support can effectively reduce employees' desire to quit their jobs. In conclusion, these findings imply the crucial role of supervisor support in increasing employee job satisfaction and reducing turnover intention. The practical implications of this research suggest that organizations can enhance efforts to improve supervisor support as a strategy to minimize turnover intention and enhance employee job satisfactionThe study provides in-depth insights into the dynamic how support from supervisors affects job satisfaction and the desire to leave the company in today’s modern work environment.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of emotional intelligence, colleagues’ support, and support from supervisors on job satisfaction among teachers of Wachid Hasyim Vocational School and High School in Surabaya. Using the purposive sampling technique, 48 teachers were sampled in this study, and the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS). The findings of this study demonstrate that emotional intelligence has a significant influence on job satisfaction, emphasizing the importance of emotional ability in increasing teachers' job satisfaction. Conversely, although the support from colleagues and supervisors also showed positive effects, the effect on job satisfaction was not statistically significant. The practical implications of these results highlight the need for additional focus on developing social support in the workplace to further improve job satisfaction, with recommendations for schools to scale up peer and employer support initiatives to create a more fulfilling work environment for teachers.
