Abstract

Abstrak: Gangguan mental sering kali menyertai penyakit kronis, meningkatkan risiko morbiditas dan mortalitas. Kader ‘Aisyiyah sebagai ujung tombak promosi kesehatan memiliki peran strategis, tetapi pemahaman mereka tentang kesehatan mental dan penyakit kronis masih perlu ditingkatkan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader ‘Aisyiyah dalam skrining dan manajemen kesehatan mental pada penyakit kronis melalui pelatihan intensif. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tiga tahap: persiapan (koordinasi dengan Puskesmas Kartasura dan penyusunan materi), pelaksanaan (edukasi, pelatihan DASS-21, teknik relaksasi, dan brain gym), serta evaluasi (pre-test dan post-test). Peserta terdiri dari 47 kader ‘Aisyiyah dengan variasi usia dan latar belakang pendidikan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dari 55,3% (kategori baik) pada pre-test menjadi 61,7% pada post-test. Simpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan efektif meningkatkan pemahaman kader tentang kesehatan mental dan penyakit kronis. Untuk keberlanjutan, diperlukan pelatihan berkala serta pendampingan lebih intensif. Saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah memperbaiki manajemen waktu untuk meningkatkan efektivitas intervensi.Abstract: Mental health disorders often accompany chronic diseases, increasing the risk of morbidity and mortality. Aisyiyah cadres, as the spearheads of health promotion, play a strategic role, but their understanding of mental health and chronic diseases still needs to be improved. The objective of this community service is to improve the knowledge and skills of Aisyiyah cadres in mental health screening and management for chronic diseases through intensive training. The implementation method includes three stages: preparation (coordination with the Kartasura Community Health Center and preparation of materials), implementation (education, DASS-21 training, relaxation techniques, and brain gym), and evaluation (pre-test and post-test). Participants consisted of 47 Aisyiyah cadres with varying ages and educational backgrounds. The results showed an increase in knowledge from 55.3% (good category) in the pre-test to 61.7% in the post-test. The conclusion of this activity is that the training is effective in increasing cadres' understanding of mental health and chronic diseases. For sustainability, regular training and more intensive mentoring are needed. Suggestions for future research include improving time management to increase the intervention's effectiveness.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat menuntut generasi muda untuk memiliki kemampuan literasi digital yang baik agar dapat memanfaatkan teknologi secara bijak, produktif, dan aman. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan literasi digital siswa melalui pendekatan edukatif dan interaktif. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, simulasi penggunaan media digital yang aman, serta pendampingan dalam praktik pencarian dan pengelolaan informasi daring. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test untuk menilai peningkatan pengetahuan peserta. Hasil kegiatan diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kesadaran dan kemampuan siswa dalam menggunakan teknologi digital secara bertanggung jawab, mendukung pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, serta memperkuat budaya digital positif di lingkungan sekolah. Kegiatan ini juga menjadi langkah strategis dalam membangun ekosistem literasi digital yang berkelanjutan di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Wedi. Secara umum terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan siswa SMK yang tinggi. Hal ini berarti kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan dampak yang baik siswa SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Wedi. Selain itu mayoritas peserta memberikan tanggapan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan kemanfaatan yang tinggi pada peserta kegiatan pengabdian.

Abstract

One of the blessings given by God is the gift of offspring, which is a manifestation of His divine will. Therefore, becoming a parent requires a sincere heart to accept the path that has been chosen, including the role of being a parent to a child with special needs (CWSN). This study aims to explore the Subjective Well-Being (SWB) of parents of CWSN by understanding the depiction of SWB, the influencing factors, and the parents' lived experiences in caring for their children. This research employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The study involved three informants who are parents of CWSN over the age of three and who serve as the child's primary caregivers. Data collection was conducted through interviews. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, and data validity was ensured through data triangulation. The findings indicate that the depiction of SWB varied among informants but tended to be influenced by external protective and risk factors. Protective factors include education, employment, family functioning, income, number of children, and social support. Risk factors include challenges related to the severity of the child's condition, financial limitations, and negative perceptions of the child. Preparation.This study can contribute to society, policymakers and professionals by encouraging the maximization of protective factors that can be provided to parents, thereby helping to improve the Subjective Well-Being of parents of children with special needs.

Abstract

Late adolescents or young adults are at a stage of development that is emotionally turbulent and prone to stress, so the rate of self-harm behavior in this group is still relatively high. Self-harm is the act of injuring oneself with or without suicidal intent, which, if not accompanied by seeking help, risks increasing suicidal behavior. This study aims to deeply understand the determining factors in seeking help among self-harmers. The study uses a qualitative narrative approach with five active students from Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta aged 18-25 who have engaged in self-harm at least once in the past year. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles & Huberman method, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the factors driving the search for help include positive experiences with seeking help, self-awareness, strong motivation to seek help, a positive attitude toward intervention, social support, ease of access to professional help, and the suitability of the help provided to the individual's needs. The barriers to seeking help were found to be the opposite of the motivating factors, plus a closed attitude and social stigma toward professional help. The sources of help came from informal and formal sources. The types of help received were instrumental support, emotional support, informational support, affiliative support, and treatment. Additionally, triggering events for self-harm and various forms of self-harm were identified. These findings contribute to the literature on the determinants of help-seeking among college students who engage in self-harm and serve as a basis for developing psychoeducation to enhance motivational factors and reduce barriers to help-seeking, particularly in the context of seeking professional help to reduce self-harm.
