Abstract

Background: Keaktifan belajar siswa-siswa di SMAN 6 Balikpapan masih tergolong randah dan perlu ditingkatkan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk memperkenalkan model pembelajaran snowball throwing pada guru SMAN 6 Balikpapan dan implementasinya di dalam pembelajaran. Metode: Kegiatan sosialisasi ini dilakukan melaui empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan/observasi, dan refleksi. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini diikuti oleh guru-guru di SMAN 6 Balikpapan sejumlah 20 guru. Setelah pemaparan materi sosialisasi, dilakukan sebuah uji coba kepada siswa kelas XII IPA 5 sebanyak 33 siswa pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam uji coba ini adalah lembar pengamatan keaktifan belajar siswa. Hasil: Hasil pengimplemetasian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran snowball throwing efektif meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa kelas XII IPA 5 SMA Negeri 6 Balikpapan pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia materi novel sebesar 17,67%. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

Background: Era digital menuntut setiap individu, termasuk santri, untuk memiliki literasi teknologi dan keterampilan abad 21 yang relevan dengan kebutuhan masa kini. Pondok pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam tradisional perlu beradaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi melalui integrasi literasi digital dan pemanfaatan energi terbarukan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman santri mengenai Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) serta menumbuhkan kemandirian pesantren dalam memanfaatkan energi surya. Metode: Metode kegiatan dilakukan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu survei awal untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman santri mengenai energi terbarukan dan PLTS, dilanjutkan dengan sosialisasi, demo, serta praktik langsung perakitan panel surya menggunakan modul PLTS skala kecil. Kegiatan diikuti oleh guru dan santri di Pondok Pesantren Al Ikhlas Karasan dengan pendekatan partisipatif. Hasil: Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman santri terkait prinsip kerja PLTS, komponen penyusun, serta kesadaran pentingnya energi terbarukan, dengan peningkatan persentase pemahaman antara 35%-36%. Kesimpulan: Antusiasme santri dan guru juga terlihat dari keaktifan dalam diskusi maupun praktik langsung, sehingga program ini dinilai berhasil mencapai target yang ditetapkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh model pembelajaran group investigation terhadap prestasi belajar trigonometri mahasiswa. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester IV Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas PGRI Madiun tahun akademik 2016/2017. Sampel yang diambil menggunakan teknik random sampling. Kelas yang terpilih yaitu kelas IV C sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 30 mahasiswa dan kelas IV A sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 36 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode tes untuk memperoleh data prestasi belajar mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji-t. Hasil analisis data yang diperoleh yaitu nilai post test prestasi belajar mahasiswa yang diuji menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf signifikan 5% didapat tobs = 3,217 dan ttabel DK = t < -1,960 atau t > 1,960. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh model pembelajaran group investigation terhadap prestasi belajar trigonometri mahasiswa. Prestasi belajar trigonometri mahasiswa dengan model group investigation lebih baik daripada prestasi belajar mahasiswa dengan metode ceramah/ konvensional.

Abstract

Critical thinking involves being mentally organized and participating in a judgmental process to solve problems. The purpose of this study is to look at the focus of research related to critical thinking of pre-service teacher teachers of mathematics education, especially in Indonesia from 2015 to 2023. The method used in this study is a descriptive bibliometric analysis method. The Scopus database is used to obtain the necessary data. The results of the research show that publications related to the critical thinking of pre-service teacher teachers of mathematics education in Indonesia have increased from 2018 to 2020. Most of the publications were published in conference papers and some were in Q2 journals. The research focus is divided into 4 sections, namely, 1) mathematics teacher , mathematical problems , algebra , and qualitative research ; 2) critical thinking skills , mathematics education , and learning systems ; 3) problem based learning and STEM; 4) data analysis techniques, information analysis. The material that is the focus of research is algebra. New themes for this field are experimental research, digital platforms, quantitative methods, and group theory. The keywords of critical thinking skills are not directly connected with these new themes

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the results of learning mathematics on the material of nets of cubes and blocks in class IV students at SDN Karangtengah Prandon 1 using the Problem Based Learning learning model. This type of research is classroom action research which is carried out in 2 cycles. The subjects used in this study were class IV students at SDN Karangtengah Prandon 1, which consisted of 11 students. The independent variable used in this research is Problem Based Learning and the dependent variable is the result of learning mathematics. The techniques used in this research are tests, observations and interviews. While the analysis techniques used in this study were quantitative and qualitative in the form of observations made and the percentage of student learning outcomes from the pre-cycle and after the cycle. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that learning by using the Problem Based Learning Model in mathematics lessons, the material for nets of cubes and blocks of student learning outcomes can be improved. The increase in learning outcomes in the pre-cycle was 27.2%, the first cycle was 63.6% and the second cycle was 91%. This assessment was said to be successful because the learning outcomes reached the mastery indicator, namely ≥ 80% of the class average with KKM ≥ 70.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop the Energy Teaching Kit as a learning medium to enhance elementary students’ computational thinking skills in science learning. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) design, utilizing the ADDIE model, which comprises the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The participants were elementary school students from both public and private schools in Madiun City. Data were collected through tests and questionnaires during the implementation phase. The results indicate that the developed medium achieved a validity score of 86%, demonstrating that its content, structure, and functionality meet expert criteria. The practicality level reached 87.05%, indicating that the medium is easy to use and has been positively received by teachers and students. Its effectiveness is supported by an N-gain score of 52.76%, indicating a moderate level of improvement in students’ computational thinking skills. Overall, these findings confirm that the Energy Teaching Kit is valid, practical, and effective for classroom use. Future research may examine its integration with digital sensors, its scalability across different grade levels, and the support it provides for teacher professional development to optimize implementation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memetakan bagaimana computational thinking (CT) diintegrasikan dalam pendidikan matematika serta bagaimana CT dan hasil belajar matematika dievaluasi dalam studi empiris terindeks Scopus periode 2016–2025. Tinjauan disusun mengikuti pedoman PRISMA 2020 melalui penelusuran Scopus; penelusuran awal menghasilkan 149 artikel dan 54 artikel memenuhi kriteria inklusi untuk dianalisis. Data diekstraksi lalu dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola integrasi CT–matematika dan pendekatan evaluasinya. Hasil menunjukkan tren publikasi meningkat dengan puncak produktivitas sekitar 2022–2023. Sebaran penelitian didominasi konteks Global North, sehingga transfer model integrasi ke konteks berdaya dukung terbatas perlu dikaji lebih hati-hati. Integrasi CT paling sering berorientasi alat. Dari sisi evaluasi, studi menggunakan beragam asesmen, namun ditemukan ketidakkonsistenan indikator CT dan capaian matematika, penggunaan instrumen yang berdiri terpisah, serta keterbatasan validasi lintas konteks dan jenjang pendidikan, sehingga asesmen autentik yang secara eksplisit mengukur keterkaitan CT dan capaian matematika dalam satu kerangka tugas masih terbatas. Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya pergeseran dari integrasi yang tool-driven menuju concept-driven serta pengembangan asesmen CT–matematika yang lebih autentik dan adaptif, termasuk untuk konteks Indonesia. This study mapped how computational thinking (CT) has been integrated into mathematics education and how CT and mathematics learning outcomes have been evaluated in empirical Scopus-indexed research from 2016 to 2025. A systematic review was conducted following PRISMA 2020 guidelines. The initial search retrieved 149 records, and 54 studies met the inclusion criteria for analysis. Data were extracted and analyzed using descriptive and thematic approaches. Findings show a rising publication trend with peak productivity around 2022–2023. Studies were dominated by Global North contexts, raising concerns about transferability to resource-limited settings. CT integration was most often tool-oriented, while unplugged and concrete-manipulative approaches emerged as feasible alternatives. From an assessment perspective, studies employed diverse approaches; however, inconsistencies in CT and mathematics indicators, fragmented measurement of the two domains, and limited cross-context and cross-level validation were evident, indicating that authentic assessments jointly capturing CT and mathematics achievement within a single task framework remain scarce.

Abstract

This research is a development research (R&D) motivated by the low numeracy skills of students in understanding data presentation materials. The purpose of the research is to develop learning media in the form of E-Comic based on Computational Thinking (CT) to improve the numeracy skills of seventh grade students. The development model used is ADDIE, which includes five systematic stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of the research were seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Kota Madiun. Data were collected using validation sheet instruments, questionnaires, and tests. The results showed that the E-Comic media obtained validation from media experts with an average percentage of 90%, categorized as very valid. In terms of practicality, this media was considered very practical with an achievement of 89.38% in limited trials and 86.42% in field trials. The effectiveness of the media was analyzed using the N-Gain score, which showed an increase in learning outcomes of 76.18% in limited trials and 77.20% in field trials, both in the high category. The implementation of CT principles in learning through E-Comics has been proven to guide students to think systematically, logically, and creatively in understanding and presenting data. Therefore, this CT-based E-Comic learning medium is valid, practical, effective, and relevant for mathematics learning, particularly data presentation, and is in line with the needs of 21st-century learning.

Abstract

Rendahnya literasi matematika siswa, khususnya dalam merumuskan, menggunakan, dan menafsirkan konsep bilangan bulat dalam konteks nyata, menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran yang berlangsung belum mampu menghubungkan konsep abstrak dengan situasi sehari-hari. Pembelajaran konvensional dan keterbatasan bahan ajar digital yang terintegrasi dengan Computational Thinking membuat siswa kurang terfasilitasi untuk berpikir logis dan sistematis dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan E-LKPD berbasis Computational Thinking untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa kelas VII SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi lima tahap : analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek uji coba terdiri dari siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 4 Kota Madiun. Instrumen penelitian mencakup lembar validasi, angket respon siswa, serta soal pretest dan posttest. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, observasi, wawancara, tes. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengolah skor dari lembar validasi, angket respon siswa, serta hasil pretest dan posttest menjadi persentase untuk menilai kualitas isi, tampilan, dan pengalaman penggunaan produk. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa E-LKPD tergolong sangat valid, dengan persentase kevalidan ahli materi sebesar 86,25% dan ahli media sebesar 85,7%. Kepraktisan E-LKPD dinilai cukup praktis, dengan persentase 82,17% pada uji coba terbatas dan 82% pada uji coba lapangan. Efektivitas E-LKPD juga tergolong cukup efektif, ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa melalui nilai N-Gain sebesar 67,5% (uji terbatas, kategori cukup efektif) dan 61,5% (uji lapangan, kategori cukup efektif).The low mathematical literacy of students, especially in formulating, using, and interpreting integer concepts in real contexts, shows that the learning that takes place is not able to connect abstract concepts with everyday situations. Conventional learning and the limitations of digital teaching materials integrated with Computational Thinking make students less facilitated to think logically and systematically in solving problems. This research aims to develop Computational Thinking-based E-LKPD  to improve the mathematical literacy skills of grade VII junior high school students. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model which includes five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The test subjects consisted of grade VII students at SMP Negeri 4 Madiun City. The research instruments include validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and pretest and posttest questions. Data collection techniques use questionnaires, observations, interviews, tests. Data analysis was carried out by processing scores from validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and pretest and posttest results into percentages to assess the quality of content, display, and experience of using products. The validation results showed that E-LKPD was classified as very valid, with a validity percentage of material experts of 86.25% and media experts of 85.7%. The practicality of E-LKPD is considered quite practical, with a percentage of 82.17% in limited trials and 82% in field trials. The effectiveness of E-LKPD is also quite effective, as shown by the increase in student learning outcomes through N-Gain scores of 67.5% (limited test, category of quite effective) and 61.5% (field test, category of quite effective).
