Abstract

The racial, cultural, and religious diversity present in Indonesia poses its own challenges to the education system. Instead of being a source of division, these differences should be seen as an asset. This underscores the necessity of multicultural education. KH. Hasyim Asy'ari and KH. Abdurrahaman Wahid are two figures who have made significant contributions to the progress of Indonesia, particularly in the field of multicultural Islamic education. Therefore, it is important to examine the ideas of these two figures using qualitative methods and a literature review approach. The multicultural Islamic education they advocated has proven effective in addressing conflicts and divisions.

Abstract

This research is motivated by Indonesia's long history based on diversity of cultures, languages, religions, ethnicities, races, and customs. The integration of historical and religious materials in educational practices in Indonesia aims to understand the learning content that will shape the character of students as grassroots individuals with a nationalist spirit and religious moral values. In this study, the author employs a qualitative literature approach by collecting various relevant data sources. The theory of multicultural education, consisting of five elements: content integration, understanding the construction process of knowledge, reducing prejudice, equity pedagogy, and strengthening school culture as well as social structure by James A. Banks, serves as the analytical foundation for this research. The results indicate that historical materials also contain teachings on being tolerant and open to various differences in race, ethnicity, tribe, and culture. History learning that incorporates religious practices will create a harmonious environment by applying the principles of mutual respect, equality, and togetherness.

Abstract

Soap is a product that is very useful as a cleaning tool to remove dirt. Soap also functions in cleaning bacteria and fungi that are on the body. There are many variations on the soap that has been used by the community, but antibacterial soap with natural ingredients is still underutilized. One of the natural ingredients that can be used as antibacterial in soap are stevia leaves and white pepper. The content in stevia leaves is stevioside which works as an enzyme, while white pepper extract contains alkaloids and essential oils found in pepper can also be used as antibacterial. The purpose of this study was to prove that the extract from stevia leaves and white pepper can inhibit the antibacterial effectiveness of solid soap. Tests were carried out on Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The best results from the antibacterial effectiveness test were obtained in 3 mL stevia extract and 1.5 mL white pepper extract, which was 19.38 mm.

Abstract

Gunung Kemukus is one of the religious tourist destinations that have the charm of Pangeran Samudera’s tomb located in Sragen Regency, Central Java. Pangeran Samudera is known as an Islamic disseminator of Majapahit descent who received religious guidance from Sunan Kalijaga. In its history, there has been a deflection of misleading traditions, this place is used as a cult of seeking wealth (pesugihan). It is said that to get a pesugihan, visitors must perform the seven times sexual adultery ritual on Jumat Pon. In fact, the culture of grave pilgrimage has become a tradition for the people of Sragen, Central Java, which has spiritual value for generations. Pilgrims send prayers to Pangeran Samudera and his grave experts as wasilah (bridge) to ask for his intention. The tradition that has taken root and believed by some people is used by individuals who are considered heretics for incidental-pragmatic interests through pesugihan rituals. This will bring a bad image to the noble culture that contains the value of local wisdom. Local culture that contains the values of simplicity, mutual cooperation and having spiritual-communal power has been littered with misleading traditions. If this misleading ritual practice is allowed, it will uproot the roots of the culture of a noble society. Because, cultural entities are noble, containing ethical values that teach human life behavior for a complete life. This research will discuss cultural-based educational efforts that attempt to shift the meaning of the misguided pragmatic rituals to the spiritual meaning of the pilgrimage to the grave in the glorious Pangeran Samudera tomb complex

Abstract

Sejumlah perspektif dan pandangan yang beragam berkembang dalam konteks perkembangan agama Islam saat ini. Fokus utama adalah pada penafsiran sikap tawasuth dalam konsep pendidikan wasathiyyah Islamiyyah, yang merupakan salah satu karakteristik utama dari seorang muslim moderat. Pentingnya terus mempromosikan dan mengembangkan sikap tawasuth dalam interaksi sosial antarumat beragama tidak bisa diabaikan. Hal ini bertujuan untuk memastikan bahwa individu dapat bertindak secara adil, seimbang, jujur, dan konsisten dalam upaya membangun hubungan yang harmonis serta menjauhkan diri dari segala bentuk pendekatan ekstrem yang dapat merugikan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian pustaka, yang melibatkan pengumpulan berbagai sumber referensi seperti buku, jurnal, artikel, dan dokumen terkait yang relevan dengan topik yang dibahas dalam artikel ini. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang nilai-nilai wasathiyyah Islamiyyah dalam konteks dinamika sosial antarumat beragama, khususnya dalam konteks sikap tawasuth. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penting bagi setiap individu untuk memahami konsep sikap tawasuth dan menerapkannya dalam interaksi sosial. Hal ini disebabkan karena manusia adalah makhluk sosial yang saling bergantung dan berinteraksi satu sama lain. Oleh karena itu, upaya untuk menciptakan kehidupan yang damai, harmonis, sejahtera, dan penuh toleransi adalah harapan bersama bagi masyarakat Indonesia yang beragam dalam hal suku, budaya, dan agama.

Abstract

Discrimination in the education world is not only incidental under certain conditions. The injustice sometimes "deliberately" slips into policy products that are not accessible to all groups. Public space and humanity are important to formulating a humane and fair. Policy products that are ambiguous and insensitive to dynamic technological developments create uncertainty for policy executors in implementing policies in the field. This research dissects the products of inclusive education policies from time to time using the theory of power relations to find the dimensions of humanity, technology, and public space and capture the visible social impacts of the implementation of educational policies both in real space and virtual space. The findings of this research are: first, the existing policy products indirectly include elements of humanity in general, but on the other hand, they leave aside technological developments which are very dynamic. The two existing policy products do not provide input and evaluate the weaknesses and strengths of the implemented policies.

Abstract

The Poda Na Lima philosophy, which aims to develop the study of Islamic education, needs to be maintained and preserved; therefore, the authors conducted this research using qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. Observation data, interviews and documentation are data collection techniques, while informants as subjects of this research were 15 people from Mandailing Natal. Traditional figures, religious figures, community leaders, members, and documents related to history, culture, customs, and community life, such as books, articles, journals, reports, and mass media are sources of research data. Data analysis is used through presentation, reduction and conclusion. The research results show that Poda Na Lima has been developing an educational curriculum based on local content. The obstacle was that it had not been implemented optimally as part of developing the local content education curriculum there. It is due to a lack of coordination, socialization synergy, local government education, budget allocation, and human resource development for the community, especially the younger generation, regarding the importance of maintaining and preserving the philosophy. The authors concluded that with the development of local content educational curricula and local knowledge in the community, the local government needs to take policies to maintain and preserve the Poda Na Lima philosophy in Mandailing Natal.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate a discussion on the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at madrasah tsanawiyah. This research uses a qualitative descriptive qualitative research method using the independent curriculum theory which is based on constructivism learning theory. According to the principle of independent learning, curricula can be tailored to meet the needs and abilities of students, enabling them to participate more actively and creatively in the learning process. Regarding data collection techniques, it consists of conducting interviews with fikih subject teachers. Based on the research, the independent curriculum for learning fikih at MTs Hasyim Asy'ari Bangsri has been implemented since the 2023/2024 school year, but the implementation has not been perfect. When the autonomous learning curriculum for fikih learning was implemented, a number of difficulties and issues were discovered, namely educators or teachers have the responsibility of compiling teaching modules for learning, but the teacher has not found specific reference material for making teaching modules. Information is still limited regarding fikih learning in the independent learning curriculum. Even though the ministry of religion has an independent curriculum platform called Sikurma, the Ministry of Religious Affairs' autonomous learning curriculum which includes learning fikih, has not been fully covered by this platform. Because there aren't many independent curriculum textbooks available for Islamic Religious Education in madrasahs, pupils are still using the 2013 curriculum books.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian bahan ajar mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak kelas IX semester I bab akhlak terpuji bagi diri sendiri dengan menggunakan kerangka teoretis kecerdasan majemuk Howard Gardner. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan studi pustaka (library research) sebagai salah satu metode penelitian. Pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk mengumpulkan dan menganalisis informasi yang tersedia melalui studi kepustakaan. Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan terhadap bahan ajar yang diteliti sudah memadai, relevan, dan sesuai dengan aspek kognitif, afektif, psikomotorik , dan psikologi perkembangan peserta didik. Namun, masih perlu sedikit perbaikan terkait pendalaman materi dan juga butuh bahan evaluasi yang menarik yang bisa mengukur sejauh mana pemahaman terhadap materi tersebut. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah pentingnya pengembangan bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan kerangka teoretis perkembangan remaja untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pendidikan akhlak. Kata Kunci : Akidah Akhlak, Bahan Ajar, Howard Gardner, Kecerdasan Majemuk AbstractThis study was conducted to determine the suitability of teaching materials for Akidah Akhlak class IX semester I chapter of praiseworthy morals for oneself using Howard Gardner's multiple intelligence theoretical framework. This research applies a library research approach as one of the research methods. This approach aims to collect and analyze information available through literature studies. The results of the research conducted on the teaching materials studied are adequate, relevant, and in accordance with the cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and psychological aspects of learner development. However, it still needs a little improvement regarding the deepening of the material and also needs interesting evaluation materials that can measure the extent of understanding of the material. The implication of this research is the importance of developing teaching materials that are in accordance with the theoretical framework of adolescent development to increase the effectiveness of moral education.Keywords: Akidah Akhlak, Teaching Materials, Howard Gardner, Multiple Intelligences
