Abstract

This study aims to explore the complex relationship between cultural capital, personality, and academic achievement in the context of the sociology of education. Through a qualitative approach based on a comprehensive literature study, the study analyzes the mechanisms of cultural transmission and their implications for individual learning orientations. The research method uses meta-qualitative analysis with systematic literature review techniques, conducting a systematic review of academic sources related to cultural capital and education. The data collection process was carried out through searching academic databases, with inclusion criteria based on theme relevance and publication quality. The results of the study revealed three main findings: (1) Cultural capital plays a fundamental role in shaping learning orientations through the mechanism of family cultural transmission; (2) Academic personality is a social construction formed through dynamic interactions between social structures; (3) The education system operates as an arena for the reproduction and transformation of cultural capital. The study recommends the development of a pedagogical approach that is sensitive to the diversity of cultural capital, with a focus on inclusive strategies that accommodate individual differences. Systemic transformation is needed in educational practices to reduce structural inequalities. The main contribution of this study is a holistic conceptual model that integrates sociological and psychological perspectives in understanding the dynamics of education, opening up space for more contextual and equitable pedagogical interventions.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the complementary relationship between Guidance and Counseling (BK) services and subject learning in the context of the educational ecosystem. Using a qualitative approach through a literature study method, this study analyzes various theories, previous research results, and relevant integration models. The results of the study indicate that synergy between BK teachers and subject teachers can improve the quality of learning and overall student well-being. This synergy is evident in the collaboration of learning planning, mentoring problematic students, and strengthening character in the learning process. However, role differentiation is still needed to avoid overlapping functions. BK teachers remain focused on the psychosocial and self-development aspects of students, while subject teachers on the academic aspects. This study also identifies an effective collaboration-based integration model, namely through a whole-school approach that unites various educational functions. The implications of this study are the need for cross-professional training and school policies that support structural synergy and role differentiation to create holistic and sustainable education.

Abstract

Reproductive health education plays a crucial role in enhancing students' understanding of the biological, psychological, and social aspects of reproductive health. However, conventional learning often faces challenges such as time constraints, a lack of interactivity, and limited access to materials. In the digital era, web-based learning media offer innovative solutions by utilizing interactive technologies, such as videos, quizzes, and discussion forums, to increase student engagement. This study aims to develop and test the feasibility of web-based interactive learning media for reproductive health education through expert validation. The research method used a Research and Development (R&D) approach, adopting the Borg & Gall model. The feasibility test phase involved six experts from the fields of materials, technology, evaluation, and education. The instruments used were a Likert-scale questionnaire and feedback sheets. The developed media included interactive features such as educational videos, quizzes, materials, and discussion forums. The expert validation results showed an excellent feasibility rating (87.44%). The findings of this study indicate that this web-based interactive learning media for reproductive health education is valid for use. Its main advantages lie in its flexibility, privacy, and appropriate media approach for sensitive topics. With these advantages, this media is not only valid but also has great potential to increase reproductive health literacy, combat misinformation and myths, and ultimately reduce risky behavior among students.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of screen time and digital learning applications on children's cognitive development in the Indonesian context, focusing on the interaction between technology use, learning patterns, and socio-cultural factors. The research methodology uses a systematic literature review approach with the PRISMA protocol, analyzing 120 articles from 1,250 initial search results in the Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, PsycINFO, and Google Scholar databases for the period 2018-2024. The results show patterns of digital technology use that vary based on geographic location (urban: 6.5 hours/day; rural: 3.2 hours/day) and socio-economic status, with a non-linear impact on cognitive function where moderate use (2-4 hours/day) shows a positive effect on visual-spatial and problem-solving abilities. The role of parental mediation, integration of local cultural elements, and balance between digital and non-digital activities emerge as key factors in optimizing the positive impact of digital technology on children's cognitive development.

Abstract

Social capital is directly linked to the phenomenon that occurs in the community. Multicultural counseling based on social capital can help with these issues. Social capital is a way of forming a strong link between people in order to establish a society. Social capital is divided into two categories: those that focus on the network of social contacts and those that focus on the inherent traits of individuals involved in social interactions. Multicultural counseling is still underserved in guidance and counseling services. One of the reasons why the service isn't up to par is because the counselor lacks certain talents, particularly when it comes to counseling approaches. As a result, a separate study on intercultural counseling is required. As a result, the author delivers a concept paper on multicultural counseling in a plural society in Indonesia based on social capital. After reviewing a variety of scientific sources, this manuscript was created. With this document, it is intended that counselors will be able to use it as a resource for implementing intercultural counseling based on social capital in Indonesia's plural society.

Abstract

Diabetic peripheral neuropathy is a complication of diabetes mellitus with the number of sufferers continuing to increase from time to time. A decrease in quality of life occurs as this disease progresses, both in physical, mental, and social aspects. Controlling risk factors for declining quality of life needs to be done early, one of the risk factors for declining quality of life is diet. The aim of this research is to analyze dietary regulation as a predictive factor for quality of life in diabetic peripheral neuropathy sufferers. The type of research used is quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The respondents in the study were 210 diabetic peripheral neuropathy sufferers who were selected using consecutive sampling techniques. Data collection uses a questionnaire that meets the existing validity and reliability criteria. The data analysis used in this research is SEM PLS analysis. The results show that dietary regulation has a positive influence on quality of life (r=0.236, p=0.0001). Dietary regulation has an effect size on quality of life (f square = 0.095) and also has the ability to predict quality of life well (Q square = 0.232). Dietary regulation is also feasible and suitable in explaining interactions between variables (NFI = 0.540; SRMR = 0.99). The conclusion is dietary regulation can be a good predictive factor for quality of life, so that by improving the diet of diabetic peripheral neuropathy sufferers it will be possible to improve their quality of life.
