Abstract

Mathematics learning difficulties, particularly in fraction addition, represent a significant challenge in elementary education, with students experiencing low academic achievement and diminished self-confidence. This study aimed to improve fraction addition learning outcomes among elementary students with learning difficulties through the implementation of Concrete-Representational-Abstract (CRA) method based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL). A Classroom Action Research design following the Kemmis and McTaggart spiral model was conducted over two cycles with 20 fifth-grade students at an elementary school in Kaliorang District, East Kutai Regency. The study specifically focused on four students with learning difficulties as primary subjects. Data collection employed learning modules, observation sheets, worksheets, evaluation tests, and field notes. Qualitative analysis followed the Miles and Huberman framework, while quantitative analysis utilized percentage and average calculations. Success criteria required students to achieve a minimum average score of ≥75 with 80% class mastery. The intervention demonstrated exceptional effectiveness, with overall proficiency rates improving from 20% (pre-cycle) to 75% (Cycle I) to 100% (Cycle II). Among students with learning difficulties, proficiency increased from 0% to 100%, with average scores improving by 38.25 points. Class average scores rose from 65.70 to 89.80. Student engagement increased by 25.41%, while teacher performance improved by 20%. The CRA-PBL integration proved highly effective in addressing fraction addition learning difficulties, achieving complete mastery among target students. This methodology offers a promising framework for inclusive mathematics education, demonstrating that appropriate instructional approaches can overcome traditional learning barriers and enhance educational outcomes for all students.

Abstract

Fifteen percent (15%) of pregnant women experience complications during pregnancy; in fact, the number can be even higher. The prevalence of pregnancy complications in Cirebon City reached 26.6%, as out of 5,284 pregnant women, 1,406 experienced complications. The purpose of this activity is to apply the Oyog massage to increase knowledge of pregnancy warning signs. Pregnancy danger signs are problems that must be addressed because they indicate complications that can result in the death of the mother and her baby. The method used is Oyog training for midwives, who will then perform this procedure on pregnant women. The object (target audience) consisted of 5 midwives and 15 pregnant women, with gestational age criteria of 28–30 weeks, no existing pregnancy complications such as hypertension or antepartum hemorrhage, and willingness to participate (mass delivery audience). The facilities used included the Oyog module, which is the result of research output and has obtained an Intellectual Property Rights certificate with No. EC00202035739. There is a difference in knowledge of pregnancy hazards before and after the Oyog procedure, and all midwives are competent in its implementation. The Oyog procedure can be used as a medium to increase knowledge of pregnancy danger signs so that the recognition of complications can be done as early as possible.Lima belas persen (15%) ibu hamil mengalami komplikasi dalam kehamilan, bahkan angkanya bisa lebih dari itu. Komplikasi kehamilan  di Kota Cirebon mencapai angka 26,6%,  karena dari 5.284 ibu hamil terdapat 1.406 ibu hamil mengalami komplikasi. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah menerapkan pijat Oyog  untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tanda bahaya kehamilan. Tanda bahaya kehamilan merupakan masalah yang harus diatasi karena tanda bahaya adalah tanda suatu komplikasi dapat mengakibatkan kematian ibu dan bayinya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan Oyog kepada bidan dan selanjutnya bidan akan melakukan prosedur ini kepada ibu hamil.  Objek kegiatan adalah 5 bidan  dan 15 ibu hamil, dengan kriteria usia kehamilan 28-30  minggu, tidak memiliki komplikasi dalam kehamilan yaitu hipertensi, perdarahan antepartum serta bersedia menjadi objek (khalayak pengabmas). Sarana yang digunakan adalah modul Oyog hasil output penelitian dan telah mendapatkan sertifikat Hak Atas Kekayaan Intelektual dengan nomor EC00202035739. Terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan tanda bahaya kehamilan sebelum dan setelah Oyog dan seluruh bidan kompeten dalam pelaksanaan Oyog. Prosedur Oyog dapat digunakan sebagai media untuk meningkatan pengetahuan tanda bahaya kehamilan sehingga pengenalan komplikasi dapat dilakukan sedini mungkin.

Abstract

Breast milk (ASI) is the best food for babies during the first 6 months of their life because breast milk provides essential nutrients for infant growth and development. The facts in the real life are that the exclusive breastfeeding program has not been able to run as expected. The husband's role in breastfeeding will be successful if it is based on knowledge of the importance of breastfeeding. This community service aims to increase the coverage of breastfeeding so that every baby can achieves the normal stages of growth and development. The target in this community service activity is fathers who have babies aged 0-6 months in the work area of PMB Eliyanti, Amd.Keb, Kuningan Regency. The method of implementation is face-to-face and discussions using health protocols, either in groups or individually. The class of pregnant women so that the father can support the success of breastfeeding. The result of this activity is the increasing in knowledge both about breastfeeding and the role of fathers. It is hoped that the father can be involved in the program.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the quality of ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) oriented teaching modules on energy saving material in class VI elementary school which were developed to support the teaching and learning process. The main issue faced is the lack of valid and effective ESD-oriented teaching modules used by teachers. This research offers a solution by developing teaching modules using research and development methods based on 4D models (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Expert first validation showed 96,1% results in the "Very Valid" category, Expert second validation showed 98% results in the "Very Valid" category, Expert third validation showed 98% results in the "Very Valid" category. Apart from that, the response from teaching practitioners (Teacher) to the teaching module showed a score of 92,8% in the "Very Good" category and the students’ response to the learning showed a score of 96,3% in the "Very Good" category. In conclusion, the ESD-oriented teaching module on energy saving material in class VI elementary school is considered very valid and suitable for use in classroom learning activities.

Abstract

Patient safety is a top priority in healthcare services, and the prevention of fall risk is one of the key indicators in maintaining the quality of hospital care. At RSUD Ngimbang, the implementation of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for fall risk prevention has not been optimal, which may increase the potential for patient fall incidents. One of the factors influencing nurses' compliance with the SOP is their level of knowledge. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and nurse’ compliance with the implementation of the fall risk prevention SOP in the inpatient ward of RSUD Ngimbang. This research used a cross-sectional design and involved 73 nurses selected through cluster random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire, and data were analyzed using Spearman’s rho test. The results showed that the majority of nurses had good knowledge (59 nurses or 80.2%), and most were compliant in implementing the fall risk prevention SOP (56 nurses or 76.7%). Statistical analysis revealed a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05) and a correlation coefficient (r) = 0.451, indicating a significant relationship between knowledge and nurses' compliance with the SOP in the inpatient ward of RSUD Ngimbang. In conclusion, there is a significant positive correlation between knowledge and nurses’ compliance in implementing the fall risk prevention SOP. Therefore, improving nurses’ knowledge should be a priority in efforts to enhance patient safety.

Abstract

Introduction: The current phenomenon is that the interest of nursing students in non-academic fields is still low. Apart from being required to complete academic assignments, nursing students are also expected to participate in organizational activities and be able to balance between the two. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between motivation and interest in achievement in non-academic fields among nursing students. Methods: This study used a correlational analytic design with a cross-sectional method using the Cluster Random Sampling technique and obtained 111 students. Research data was taken using a questionnaire to measure motivation and interest in achievement in the non-academic field. In this study, the results showed that most students had high motivation (68%) and most of the interest in achieving non-academic activities was in the high category (57%). Based on the research above, it is hoped that students will be able to develop their abilities so that they become graduates who master the branches of science and technology to fulfill national interests and increase foreign power. The analysis used was Spearman's analysis with a significance level of α <0.05. Results: The Spearman test results obtained p = 0.008 rs = 0.513, which means there is a relationship between the motivation of semester VI nursing students and their interest in achieving non-academic fields. Conclusions: Based on these results, it is hoped that motivation can be used as material for student self-evaluation so that it can increase interest in achievement in non-academic fields

Abstract

Introduction: One of the problems that is prone to occur among nurses is job satisfaction. Good job satisfaction includes good relationships with fellow colleagues and the surrounding environment will create a friendly and good atmosphere so that a person feels comfortable and becomes attached to his work. The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between employe engagement with the job satisfaction of nurses at the Muhammadiyah Babat General Hospital. Methods:The research used in this study was analytic correlation with a cross sectional approach using cluster sampling technique to get 48 respondents. This research used a closed questionnaire and analyzed using the Spearman test. Results: This study found that the results of employe engagement or employee engagement with nurses at Babat Lamongan General Hospital were mostly high, with 25 nurses (52.1%) and most of them had moderate job satisfaction with as many as 28 nurses (58.3). Conclusions:Based on the results of the analysis using the Spearman Rho test, it was found that the value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05) and the value of 𔑟 = 0.557, then H1 is accepted. This means that there is a relationship between Employe Engagement and Job Satisfaction of nurses at Muhammadiyah Babat General Hospital. Based on this research it is expected that nurses can increase their work productivity, as well as support each other and love their work more.

Abstract

Background: Service is a very important thing that must be considered by a hospital. Good service provided will affect the level of patient satisfaction Ease of access in the service is very expected by every patient, but what happens is a queuing system that makes patients go through many procedures so that it will take a long time and will cause patient dissatisfaction with hospital services.Objectives: The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between the Queuing System and Patient Satisfaction.Design: The study used a correlational analytic design with a crossectional approach, with consecutive sampling techniques obtained by 90 patients. The independent variable is the queuing system and the dependent variable is Patient Satisfaction. The instrument used for both variables is a closed questionnaire.Results: The results showed that of the 90 respondents who stated that almost all patients rated the Aisyiyah hospital queue system as good as 72 patients (80%), most patients were satisfied with Aisyiyah hospital services, which was as many as 60 patients (66.7%). Spearmen Rank test results known p-value = 0.012 means p < 0.05. There is a relationship between the Queue System and Patient Satisfaction.Conclusions: Based on the results of the study, it is expected that the hospital will provide the best service especially in terms of the queuing system such as providing fast and appropriate services so that patients do not wait too long so that patient satisfaction can be achieved

Abstract

Introduction: Occupational Safety and Health (K3) efforts must be carried out in all workplaces, especially those with health risks such as hospitals. Occurrence of work accidents can be caused by many factors, one of which is the behavior of human resources consisting of knowledge, attitudes, and actions. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between knowledge of health workers and the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) at thecommunity health centerMethods: The research method uses correlation analysis, cross sectional. The population is all health workers at the X Community health center, totaling 59 officers. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. The sample of this study was 51 health workers. The research method uses analytic correlation and cross sectional. The research data was taken using a questionnaire after tabulating the data which was analyzed using the Spearman Rank test (Rho) with a significance level of p = <0.05.Results: The results of the study showed that out of 51 health workers, almost all of them had high knowledge with good OSH application as many as 46 (93.9%). based on the results of the data above, a statistical test was obtained with a significant value of p sign = 0.725 (p> 0.05). This means that there is no relationship between the knowledge of health workers and the application of occupational health and safety (K3)Conclusion: Based on the research, it is hoped that health workers can implement occupational health and safety properly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi sains mahasiswa PGSD dalam mata kuliah Konsep Dasar IPA melalui penerapan metode mini project. Metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) digunakan dengan melibatkan 38 mahasiswa sebagai subjek penelitian, yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Pada siklus pertama, mahasiswa menunjukkan kesulitan dalam mengorganisasi ide dan menggunakan bahasa ilmiah dengan tepat. Hasil siklus pertama ini mendorong dilakukannya perbaikan pada siklus kedua, dengan pemberian pelatihan singkat mengenai penyusunan presentasi ilmiah. Hasil dari siklus kedua menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam keterampilan komunikasi sains, termasuk dalam kejelasan penyampaian ide, struktur presentasi, dan kemampuan menjawab pertanyaan ilmiah. Pendekatan mini project terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif mahasiswa dan keterampilan mereka dalam menghubungkan konsep-konsep ilmiah dengan konteks kehidupan sehari-hari. Meski demikian, penggunaan bahasa ilmiah yang tepat masih perlu diperbaiki. Kesimpulannya, metode mini project dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif dalam meningkatkan komunikasi sains mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi.
