Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen literacy and numeracy competencies in junior high schools (SMP) in Ogan Ilir Regency that receive low evaluation scores in their educational units. The community service partners consist of 11 junior high schools, represented by the Principals and one Vice Principal in charge of curriculum. The implementation method includes three main stages: 1) Training, 2) Mentoring, and 3) Supervision. The evaluation instruments used include questionnaires, observation sheets, and analysis of participants' work documents to measure improvements in knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to literacy and numeracy. Data analysis techniques involve descriptive quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results of this community service activity indicate that partner schools have shown increased knowledge and experience in enhancing professional literacy and numeracy competencies, as well as skills in developing literacy- and numeracy-based learning tools relevant to junior high school students.

Abstract

Introduction: Online learning is a global trend in higher education in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. Online learning becomes one of the approaches available to most students and educators, as opposed to face-to-face learning. The aim of this research is to find out the correlation of online learning and satisfaction among nursing students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional approach involving 177 second-year nursing students randomly selected resulting in 121 students. Students filled out an online learning questionnaire consisting of 14 items and a satisfaction questionnaire consisting of 21 items from Google Forms. Data were analysed using logistic regression with level of significance (p=0.000). Results: The online learning indicator that had the highest average value was relevance (3.12), while the highest average value of student satisfaction indicator was content (3.05). Logistic regression showed that the online learning indicator that greatly affected student satisfaction was attractiveness. Fair attractiveness for online learning increased satisfaction by 7.516 times compared to poor attractiveness (p = 0.000) and good attractiveness for online learning increased satisfaction by 55.538 times compared to poor attractiveness (p = 0.000). Conclusions: Student satisfaction depends heavily on student attractiveness to the online learning process. Lecturers can increase the attractiveness of students toward online learning, whether through the utilized media, learning methods, or the technology of delivering lecture materials.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang perundungan siber (cyberbullying) kepada siswa dan siswi di SMA Negeri 2 Minas Kabupaten Siak.  Selain itu, kegiatan ini dilakukan untuk menekan kasus-kasus perundungan media sosial (Cyberbullying) yang akhir-akhir ini semakin meningkat di kalangan remaja. Dengan menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi, demonstrasi dan bermain peran, kegiatan ini dilakukan untuk memberikan wawasan dan pemahaman kepada siswa dan siswi di sekolah tersebut. Materi yang diberikan mencakup pengetahuan contoh-contoh bentuk cyberbullying dan bagaimana cara mengatasinya. Hal ini perlu dilakukan mengingat pada saat observasi awal ditemukan bahwa sebagian besar siswa belum memahami tentang perundungan siber, bentuk dan dampaknya. Sebagai hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, siswa-siswi SMAN 2 Minas dapat lebih memahami bahaya perundungan siber dan dapat menghindarinya dengan cara yang tepat. Peningkatan pengetahuan ini diketahui dari hasil penyebaran google form pada akhir kegiatan PKM. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga dapat menjadi contoh bagi sekolah untuk melakukan upaya berkesinambungan terkait pencegahan perundungan siber.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive infographic learning media based on Google Sites that integrates cooperative learning models on food chain material for fifth grade elementary school students. The type of research used is development research with the ADDIE model consisting of the stages of Analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation, needs analysis, validation sheets, response questionnaires, and tests. The results of this study indicate that interactive infographic learning media based on Google Sites is effective and practical to use, with an N-gain score reaching 0.838452, which is included in the high category. This study shows that interactive infographic media can improve students' understanding of concepts and mastery of material, so it is suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar SBK melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) pada siswa kelas VIII B Semester 2 SMP Negeri 7 Sukoharjo tahun pelajaran 2017/ 2018. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai Mei 2018 di SMP Negeri 7 Sukoharjo. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII B sebanyak 32 siswa. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, observasi, dan tes tertulis. Alat pengumpulan data berupa lembar pengamatan, butir soal tes, dan dokumen daftar nilai. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif komparatif yang dilanjutkan refleksi. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat langkah, yaitu: (1) Perencanaan, (2) Pelaksanaan Tindakan, (3) Pengamatan, dan (4) Refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa, persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa, yaitu: sebelum tindakan 17 siswa atau 53,1%, pada siklus I sebanyak 23 siswa atau 71,8% dan pada siklus II sebanyak 217 siswa atau 90,6%. Sedangkan rata-rata prestasi belajar SBK siswa sebelum tindakan sebesar 70,1, pada siklus I sebesar 75,2, dan pada siklus II sebesar 80. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa “Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar SBK pada siswa kelas VIII B Semester 2 SMP Negeri 7 Sukoharjo tahun pelajaran 2017/ 2018”.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan hasil belajar Materi Perkalian Bilangan Cacah melalui metode permainan dan media kartu bilangan pada siswa Kelas II SDN Sendangmulyo, Kecamatan Gunem, Kabupaten Rembang Semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Tindakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran melalui metode permainan dan media kartu bilangan. Penelitian berlangsung dalam 2 siklus. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 24 siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar Materi Perkalian Bilangan Cacah. Tempat penelitian adalah Kelas II SDN Sendangmulyo. Waktu penelitian pada Semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes, pengamatan dan dokumentasi. Alat pengumpulan data berupa tes dengan soal isian singkat, lembar pengamatan dan dokumen foto. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah metode permainan dan media kartu bilangan meningkatkan hasil belajar Materi Perkalian Bilangan Cacah pada siswa Kelas II SDN Sendangmulyo, Kecamatan Gunem, Kabupaten Rembang Semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Peningkatan hasil belajar, yaitu rata-rata kelas pada Kondisi Awal 60,8, Siklus I meningkat menjadi 67,8 dan  Siklus II meningkat lagi menjadi 77,9 dan ketuntasan siswa pada Kondisi Awal 33% atau 8 siswa, Siklus I menjadi 46% atau 11 siswa dan Siklus II menjadi 79% atau 19 siswa.Kata-kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar, Perkalian, Metode Permainan, Media Kartu Bilangan.

Abstract

The use of media plays a crucial role in the learning process to achieve learning objectives. However, the utilization of instructional media is still not optimal because it often overlooks the characteristics and needs of learners. Leveraging digital technology can be one of the solutions to address this issue. This research aims to produce interactive multimedia based on problem-based learning on the human digestive system in class V elementary school. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with research procedures using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects used were class V students for the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 20 students. The data collection techniques used were interviews, validation sheets, and questionnaires. The data obtained was analyzed quantitatively and descriptively. The results of research through a validation process by material experts, media experts, and practitioners show that interactive multimedia based on problem-based learning is very suitable for use in the learning process in elementary schools. The results of field trials show that interactive multimedia based on problem-based learning is very practical to use as a learning medium to convey material on the human digestive system in elementary schools. The conclusion of this research is that the resulting PBL-based interactive multimedia product is very feasible and practical for learning in class V elementary schools.

Abstract

Nurses are health workers dealing with patients, dealing with patients whose illnesses vary and work demands can be a strong source of stress for nurses at work, so emotional intelligence is needed. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and the level of occupational stress of nurses at the X Hospital Lamongan. This study used a cross-sectional method with a correlational analytic design using a cluster sampling technique to get 43 respondents. Research data was taken using a closed questionnaire for emotional intelligence and an ENSS (Expanded Nursing Stress Scale) questionnaire to measure occupational stress. This research showed that the emotional intelligence of nurses had high, 23 nurses (53.5%) and almost the majority of nurses had moderate occupational stress, 23 nurses (53.5%). This study used the Spearman rank test with a value of p= 0,000 and obtained a value of rs= 0,581, which means there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and occupational stress of nurses at the X Hospital Lamongan. Based on the research, it is hoped that nurses can add insight and knowledge regarding emotional intelligence so that it is not affected by occupational stress and nursing care providers in accordance with SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).

Abstract

Environmental issues are becoming increasingly urgent, particularly concerning the transition to environmentally friendly renewable energy. This study aims to map the environmental literacy profile of grade VI elementary school students in the context of renewable energy, covering knowledge, attitudes, environmental utilization, and interest in environmental issues. This descriptive qualitative study utilized an instrument adapted from The Scale of Environmental Literacy (SEL). The instrument comprises four main components: (1) knowledge, (2) attitudes, (3) environmental utilization, and (4) interest in environmental issues, each measured using a Likert scale with 10 statements. The instrument was validated by experts and tested on 10 students before being distributed to 91 grade VI students from several elementary schools in Palembang via Google Forms. The findings indicate that students have a good basic understanding of environmental concepts but face challenges in comprehending renewable energy in depth. Students' positive attitudes toward the environment were relatively high, though their awareness of plastic-related issues remains low, indicating the need for increased consciousness. Their environmentally friendly behaviors were generally consistent, albeit with some inconsistencies. Students showed a high interest in environmental issues but require reinforcement through real-world contextual learning approaches and active support from teachers and parents. These findings can serve as a basis for designing more effective and contextual learning strategies in environmental education at the elementary level

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan  pembuatan dan penggunaan evaluasi pembelajaran tematik interaktif berbasis literasi numerasi bagi guru-guru SD di Kota Lahat ini ini ber­tujuan untuk: (1) memberikan pemahaman tentang pembuatan dan penggunaan evaluasi pembelajaran tematik interaktif berbasis literasi numerasi; dan (2) memotivasi guru-guru SD agar dapat membuat evaluasi pembelajaran tematik interaktif berbasis literasi numerasi untuk mengukur ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran di kelas. Metode dan bentuk kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pelatihan, dengan teknik: ceramah secara luring dan daring yang divariasikan dengan diskusi dan tanya jawab, penugasan dan demonstrasi produk. Adapun yang menjadi sasaran kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah guru-guru SD di Lahat. Jumlah khalayak sasaran dalam pembinaan dan pelatihan ini terdiri atas 30 guru. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan teknik tes. Teknik tersebut dilakukan pada awal dan akhir pelatihan ini, sedangkan teknik non tes akan belangsung selama peserta membuat instrumen penilaian literasi numerasi. Berdasarkan hasil pretes dan postes, terlihat bahwa nilai rata-rata pretes sebesar 68.23 dan nilai rata-rata postes sebesar 78.83. Nilai rata-rata tersebut menunjukan peningkatan. Sebagaimana rancangan evaluasi yang menyatakan bahwa kegiatan ini dinyatakan berhasil bila jumlah rata- rata tes akhir lebih besar daripada tes awal.
