Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of elementary school students and teachers for the development of digital teaching materials based on Multiple Learning Materials Object (MLMO) on energy transformation materials. The background of this research is based on the low level of science literacy of students and the limitations of conventional teaching materials that are less interactive and not yet contextual with daily life. The research used a mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, starting with the collection of quantitative data through questionnaires of 60 grade IV students, then continued with semi-structured interviews with four teachers of science subjects. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. The results of the study show that students have a high preference for visual and interactive learning media such as videos, digital quizzes, and simulations that facilitate the understanding of abstract concepts. Meanwhile, teachers emphasized the importance of digital teaching materials that are lightweight, accessible, and relevant to the socio-cultural context of students. Based on these findings, the development of MLMO-based digital teaching materials is considered to have the potential to increase learning motivation, conceptual understanding, and science literacy of elementary school students while supporting the implementation of 21st century learning that is creative, interactive, and oriented towards Independent Learning

Abstract

Elementary students face significant challenges comprehending abstract energy transformation concepts, requiring innovative instructional media to bridge gaps between theoretical knowledge and concrete understanding while developing critical thinking skills. This descriptive quantitative study analyzed needs of 63 fourth-grade students and two teachers from SDN 5 Mangsang and SDN 6 Mangsang through structured questionnaires assessing six dimensions: pedagogical, technical, cognitive, aesthetic, sociocultural, and evaluative aspects. Data were analyzed using percentage frequencies with established categorical criteria. Findings revealed evaluative features (100%), aesthetic design (96.81%), and sociocultural relevance (95.34%) as highest priority dimensions, followed by cognitive support (86.24%) and pedagogical engagement (77.18%), while technical accessibility (51.75%) required particular attention. Teachers demonstrated unanimous agreement (100%) across all dimensions, emphasizing training needs, infrastructural readiness, and media's potential to enhance critical thinking. Students exhibited strong preference for interactive, visually appealing media with immediate feedback mechanisms, despite demonstrating low baseline comprehension of energy transformation concepts. Results validate multimodal representation frameworks and situated learning theories while documenting specific stakeholder requirements for Smart Box media development. The study establishes empirical foundation for evidence-based instructional media design that integrates assessment capabilities, visual appeal, cultural responsiveness, conceptual scaffolding, and practical accessibility to address documented deficiencies in conventional elementary science instruction.

Abstract

Technology integration is crucial for modern education. This study investigates the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-assisted learning videos to enhance sustainability awareness among elementary students, an area where awareness remains low according to PISA data. A quantitative survey method was employed, utilizing a Likert-scale questionnaire to assess three aspects of sustainability awareness (behavioral, emotional, and practical) among 19 fourth-grade students at SDN 156 Palembang after video intervention. Results indicated a high level of sustainability awareness with a mean score of 3.5 (on a 4-point scale) and an overall percentage of 87.73%. All three aspects scored highly (86-89.2%), falling into the 'habits that are often/always done' category. The study concludes that AI-assisted learning videos are an effective tool for significantly improving sustainability awareness and behaviors in young learners, offering an innovative solution for environmental education

Abstract

Insiden CKD meningkat setiap tahun dan menjadi masalah kesehatan utama di seluruh dunia. Indonesian Renal Registry (IRR) melaporkan bahwa pada tahun 2018 sebanyak 36.975 jumlah penderita gagal ginjal kronik yang menjalani dialysis. Hasil studi systematic review dan meta analisis Hills dkk(2016 )menunjukkan 13,4% penduduk dunia menderita CKD. Masalah utama pada pasien yang menjalani hemodialisis adalah kepatuhan dalam pembatasan asupan cairan yang dimanifestasikan dengan penambahan berat badan diantara dua waktu dialisis. Ada banyak faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya kepatuhan pasien dialysis dalam restriksi konsumsi cairan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi umur, Jenis Kelamin dan Pendidikan dengan kepatuhan pembatasan cairan pada pasien CKD dengan menggunakan metode descriptive corelative dengan rancangan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling sebanyak 106 responden. Analisis univariat dengan mayoritas dalam kategori umur dewasa madya (41-60 th) sebanyak 70 orang (66%), Jenis kelamin laki-laki 61 (57%), Pendidikan SMA 48 (45.3%). Uji Chi Square dengan nilai p value Umur : 0,013, Jenis kelamin 0,046 dan Pendidikan 0,196. Kesimpulan Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan umur, jenis kelamin dengan kepatuhan pembatasan cairan, sedangkan Pendidikan tidak berhubungan ( p value 0,196 > α 0,05.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance teachers’ competencies in developing science practicum guidelines to foster elementary school students’ critical thinking skills. The program employed a Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approach involving 20 elementary school teachers in Sakatiga, Seberang Ogan Ilir. Program evaluation was conducted using written tests (pre-tests and post-tests), observation sheets, interviews, and reflective discussions. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The results indicate a significant improvement in teachers’ competencies. The average pre-test scores were categorized as moderate, while post-test results improved to a very good category after teachers participated in the training and mentoring activities. In addition, the quality of the instructional products developed by the teachers also improved, and enhanced teacher competencies were reflected in classroom instructional practices. The impact on students was evidenced by increased active participation, enthusiasm, and confidence in asking questions and expressing opinions during science practicum activities.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Burnout syndrome merupakan kelelahan secara fisik, emosional dan mental yang sering di alami perawat, akibat beban kerja yang tinggi dan lingkungan kerja yang kurang mendukung. Salah satu faktor yang mencegah burnout syndrome dengan meningkatkan quality of nursing work life atau kualitas kehidupan kerja perawat yang mendukung kesejahteraan dan kepuasan kerja. Tujuan: untuk mengetahui hubungan antara quality of nursing work Life dengan burnout syndrome pada perawat di RSUD Dr. Soegiri Lamongan Metode: Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analitik korelasi dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel terdiri dari 119 perawat yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian kuesioner QNWL dan Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Sevices Survey (MBI-HSS) analisis data menggunakan uji spearman rank. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar (63,0%) perawat memiliki quality of nursing work life baik dan sebagian besar (64,7%) mengalami burnout syndrome ringan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Spearman Rho didapatkan nilai p= <0,001 (p<0,05) dan nilai rₛ= -0,838. Kesimpulan: terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dengan korelasi negatif yang kuat antara quality of nursing work life dengan burnout syndrome. Yang artinya semakin baik quality of nursing work life maka semakin rendah tingkat burnout yang di alami hal ini menunjukkan  pentingnya perhatian institusi kesehatan terhadap lingkungan kerja, penghargaan, dan keseimbangan kehidupan kerja untuk menekan angka burnout.
