Abstract

Disasters are natural events that disrupt and threaten human life. The eruption of Mount Semeru in December 2021 was one of the natural disasters that caused tremendous damage. Children and adolescents are more vulnerable to psychological manifestations related to disasters. Handling of children's trauma needs to be done because children do not have the capacity to look after and care for themselves. The behavior of children who were victims of the eruption of Mount Semeru before intervention tended to show a passive and restless attitude. Art therapy is an effective intervention to increase self-esteem. The forms of art therapy given to children affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru are drawing, group storytelling, making crafts, and writing and reading poetry. The methods used in trauma healing with art therapy are mentoring and training. As a result of art therapy activities, children are able to express what they feel during a disaster and are able to convey hope in the future. Abstract

Legendaris Koka is a company that provides various kinds of coffee innovations, one of them is ricebran coffee is located on Jl. Letjen. Panjaitan No. 22 Jember Regency. Rice bran coffee is a coffee blended with rice bran after roasting process with the aim of creating a distinctive taste and aroma from the combination of coffee and rice bran. The purpose of this research is to determine the attributes of importance and the value of suitability of importance on performance and consumer satisfaction "Legendaris Koka" ricebran coffee product. Implementation of this research is analyzing data from consumer questionnaires ricebran coffee Legendary Koka using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) methods to determine the value of suitability of importance in the performance and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) methods to determine the value of customer satisfaction. The method Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) shows that the main priority attributes to improve their performance are those in quadrant I, that is a taste attribute with a suitability value of 83.221%. Abstract

Red dragon fruit contains anthocyanins which act as natural dyes with a purplish red color. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of red dragon fruit as a raw material for natural coloring pigments and to determine the effect of blanching on the characteristics of the red dragon fruit pigment ethanol extract. The study was conducted using a laboratory experimental method using a completely randomized design (RAL) with a single factor, namely blanching time. The blanching time is denoted by 1 (0 minutes), 2 (3 minutes), 3 (5 minutes) and 4 (7 minutes). Data from research results related to red dragon fruit are presented in tables and analyzed descriptively, while data from ethanol extract of red dragon fruit pigments were analyzed by linear regression analysis. The results showed that the pH of the raw material characteristics was highest in the fresh treatment and the lowest in the blanching treatment. The results of the highest lightness, redness and yellowness were obtained in the blanching, blanching and fresh treatments, respectively. While the lowest values ​​were in the fresh, fresh and blanching treatments. The highest total dissolved solids yield was in the fresh treatment and the lowest was in the blanching treatment. Blanching treatment has an effect on yield, reddish color, total dissolved solids and has no effect on pH, color intensity and color lightness.

Abstract

Fermentation is one of the processes in tobacco processing which will be used as raw material for cigars. One of the main aspects that must be considered to achieve successful fermentation is the temperature and humidity of the fermentation room, namely 60-80% RH and 27-32 °C. KOPA Tarutama Nusantara (TTN) Jember is a Under Shade Tobacco processing unit with manual monitoring of temperature and humidity using a hygrometer which causes workers to experience fatigue and delays in taking action if the temperature and humidity are not up to standard. Based on these problems, an IoT (Internet of Things)-based temperature and humidity monitoring tool is needed. The research was carried out by assembling tools using Arduino Ide, DHT 11 Sensor, 2 Channel Relay, LM2596 and programmed with Arduino Ide software. Based on the functionality validation test, this tool can be said to function properly because the X value is 1. The efficiency value is declared very efficient with a value 6.9% and the effectiveness value is declared very effective because the effectiveness value increases from 17 to 22. The implementation of this tools in the fermentation room also increases the effectiveness of tobacco quality with a value of 112.9%.

Abstract

Determination of the number of workers is one step to increase efficiency and productivity. Packaging has an important role to increase productivity. The purpose of the work measurement is to determine the standard time with the work sampling method so that it can be seen the number of workers needed. Observation of 2 trained workers for 10 days with 30 observations per day. The results showed that the average productive percentage in shift 1 of labor 1 was 96% and labor 2 was 93%. While in the second shift 2 workers have a productive percentage of 92%. The standard time in shift 1 is 1,2946 minutes/unit with a load of 233.28% and 1,3009 minutes/unit for a workforce with a load of 263.55%, while in shift 2, the workforce 1 is 1.3038. minutes/unit with a load of 320.16% and a workforce of 1.3401 minutes/unit with a load of 346.84%. Based on the calculation of the efficiency of shift 1 workers with efficient achievements of 95.00% and 86.67%. Likewise, with the efficiency of shift 2 workers with efficient achievements of 88.33% and 86.00%. So the number of workers needed is 5 people/machine.

Abstract

Biodegradable foam is a type of environmentally friendly packaging made from biopolymers in the form of starch that can be degraded naturally. This study aims to determine the characteristics of biodegradable foam and its prototype made from cassava starch as a biopolymer substitute for synthetic polymers by adding variations of bagasse flour to compact the structure and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) which functions to reduce water absorption. The stages of making biodegradable foam are started by making bagasse flour, making biodegradable foam sheets using the baking process, and making a prototype bowl of biodegradable foam. The making of this biodegradable foam consists of 6 formulas by adding variations of bagasse flour (5%, 10%, 15%) and PVA (20%, 40%) from 36 grams of starch mass. The tests carried out were in the form of water absorption, biodegradation, thickness, tensile strength, and density tests. The best treatment was found in the A3B1 formula which was used as the basis for making a prototype bowl of biodegradable foam. The addition of variations of bagasse flour and PVA had a significant effect on the characteristics of water absorption and biodegradation, while the other characteristics were only PVA which had a significant effect. The results of the best treatment as the basis for making a prototype bowl of biodegradable foam with water absorption characteristics of 25.93% and biodegradation of 45.95%.

Abstract

Sumber Tengah merupakan salah satu desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Binakal Kabupaten Bondowoso. Salah satu permasalahan yang terdapat di Desa Sumber Tengah yaitu permasalahan sanitasi dan cara pengelolaan sampah yang kurang benar. Permasalahan pengelolaan sampah yang tak kunjung usai mulai dari rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat hingga terbatasnya keberadaan sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung seperti Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA), menyebabkan masyarakat memiliki kebiasaan dalam membuang sampah sembarangan seperti di sungai maupun di selokan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menanggulangi permasalahan sanitasi beserta pengelolaan sampah yang terdapat di Desa Sumbertengah dengan berbagai keterbatasan. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan program yaitu dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara, FGD (Focus Group Discussion), penyuluhan, serta dokumentasi. Program kerja yang telah dilaksanakan sebagai solusi dari permasalahan sanitasi dan pengelolaan sampah yang ada di Desa Sumber Tengah diantaranya yaitu  dengan mengadakan program penyuluhan PHBS di Sekolah Dasar, penyuluhan pengelolaan sampah pada masyarakat dan menyediakan tempat pembakar sampah (Trash Burner) di beberapa RT. Trash burner ini nantinya akan dikelola oleh kader yang telah dibentuk agar dapat mengatasi permasalahan sampah secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Sanitasi lingkungan merupakan upaya untuk menjadikan masyarakat hidup bersih dan sehat yang akan berdampak secara langsung pada kesehatan lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat apabila tidak segera ditangani. Program sanitasi lingkungan sangat cocok dilakukan di Desa Baratan karena perilaku masyarat yang masih kurang baik dalam pengelolaan sampah serta pembuangan sampah yang tidak pada tempatnya. Tujuan dalam program ini yakni untuk meningkatkan kesadaran serta membentuk karakter masyarakat di Desa Baratan dan meningkatkan fasilitas penunjang kebersihan guna memudahkan masyarakat dalam menjaga, menciptakan, serta mengelola lingkungan dengan baik. Metode yang digunakan dalam program ini adalah pendekatan modal sosial yang dilakukan dengan beberapa tahapan yaitu tahapan Observasi dan Wawancara Tokoh, Sosialisasi serta Penerapan Program. Tahapan observasi dan wawancara tokoh masyarakat dilakukan dengan 3 objek observasi yaitu kondisi fasilitas umum maupun individu, kondisi aliran sungai kecil dan besar, serta kondisi kepedulian masyarakat terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Tahap selanjutnya adalah sosialisasi yang dilakukan di SDN Baratan untuk menumbuhkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat sejak dini. Dilanjutkan dengan peningkatan kualitas dan kualitas fasilitas kebersihan dengan pembuatan bak sampah yang mirip dengan tungku pembakaran. Bak sampah dalam program ini memiliki keunggulan yakni dapat memisahkan abu sampah dengan sisa sampah yang belum terbakar juga memisahkan air dari sampah yang masih basah.

Abstract

Sampah merupakan sisa buangan atau hasil limbah yang sudah tidak digunakan Kembali. Desa Binakal merupakan salah satu desa yang ada di Kecamatan Binakal Kabupaten Bondowoso. Salah satu permasalahan di Desa Binakal yang berkaitan dengan lingkungan yaitu sampah. Masyarakat masih kurang mumpuni dalam hal pengolahan sampah. Masih banyak masyarakat yang membuang sampah sembarang baik di pinggir jalan maupun sungai. Adanya permasalahan tersebut memunculkan adanya sebuah kegiatan atau program kerja yaitu bank sampah. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan serta meningkatkan kesadaran terhadap pentingnya menjaga lingkungan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan melakukan sosialisasi terlebih dahulu kepada masyarakat mengenai sampah dan sistematika berjalannya bank sampah. Sosialisasi juga dilakukan pada sada di Desa Binakal. Dalam memperlancar kegiatan ini diperlukan adanya koordinator yang langsung diambil alih oleh kasun dan beberapa masyarakat. kegiatan bank sampah ini mampu mewujudkan masyarakat yang paham akan pentingnya menjaga lingkungan dengan melakukan pemilahan sampah dan melakukan kegiatan bank sampah.

Abstract

Pembangunan Desa adalah salah satu target pembangunan nasional pemerintah Indonesia dengan tujuan meningkatkan kehidupan dan kualitas hidup untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat. Upaya dilaksanakan salah satunya melalui program Digitalisasi Desa yang merupakan tonggak penting pembangunan desa. Adanya digitalisasi desa memudahkan pihak dari luar desa untuk mencari informasi mengenai Desa tersebut. Namun, Penerapan program digitalisasi Desa masih banyak yang belum terlaksana. Salah satunya di Desa Bendelan Kabupaten Bondowoso. Desa Bendelan belum mengimplementasikan program digitalisasi Desa dan membuat informasi seperti profil, potensi, dan lokasi yang mendetail sulit diketahui oleh khalayak umum. Guna mengatasi permasalahan pada poin sebelumnya, KKN 252 Universitas Jember mengupayakan digitalisasi Desa dengan melaksanakan program kerja bertemakan “Desa Digital Terintegrasi (DIGITEG)”. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengatasi berbagai permasalahan digital yang terdapat di Desa Bendelan. Agar program kerja berjalan dengan lancar, perlu digunakan beberapa metode pelaksanaan, antara lain: Perizinan, Survey permasalahan, Pembuatan Business Modal Canvas (BMC), Sosialisasi program kerja, Proses pembuatan website dan Sistem Administrasi dan Informasi Desa (SAID), dan Pelatihan operator Desa. Penelitian ini menghasilkan: Digitalisasi Informasi melalui Website Desa, Digitalisasi Informasi Desa melalui Wikipedia, terbuatnya SAID, dan Transfer of knowledge kepada Operator Desa. Sebagai kesimpulan kegiatan, program digital Desa Bendelan telah selesai dibuat dan siap dioperasikan oleh operator desa.
