Abstract

This study focuses on examining and determining whether there is a relationship between leg muscle strength and arm muscle explosive power on the under-ring shoot ability of female basketball extracurricular participants at SMPN 4 Malang. This study uses an explanatory descriptive approach. The study population consisted of 63 female students, and the sample size was 50 female students using the Stratified Purposive Systematic Proportional Random Sampling technique with a proportion of 80%. The instruments used during data collection included leg and dynamometer tests, two-hand medicine ball throws, and under-ring shoot tests. The results showed that all independent and dependent variables were normally distributed, homogeneous, and linear. The multiple correlation results showed that leg muscle strength and arm muscle explosive power simultaneously had a significant relationship with under ring shoot ability, with a correlation coefficient of 0.823 and a contribution of 67.7%. Thus, the final result of this study is that under-ring shoot ability has a strong and linear correlation with the combination of both physical conditions, namely leg muscle strength and arm muscle explosive power, when analyzed simultaneously. Abstract

The advancement of science and technology and 21st century education requiresinnovative learning media that integrates digital technology and games. However, the use of digital game-based learning media in physical education is still limited. This study was conducted with the aim of assessing the feasibility of a web-based monopoly game learning media that contains physical fitness material for eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 20 Malang. The method used was R&D or research and development through the adaptation of the ADDIE development model. The process involved physical fitness experts, learning experts, media experts, field practitioners (PJOK teachers), and students as a test group. The development stages included needs analysis, game concept development, prototype creation, expert assessment, and small and large group trials. The assessment results showed a very high level of feasibility: 97% based on physical fitness experts, 93% based on learning experts, 93% based on media experts, and 99% based on practitioner assessments. Meanwhile, the small group trial resulted in a score of 91%, and the large group trial resulted in a mean score of 93%, which is also considered very feasible. The resulting learning media is considered feasible for use as a supporting medium for physical education, especially physical fitness. The novelty of this research lies in the website-based monopoly game learning media for physical fitness material, which is in line with the development of digital technology in the field of education.

Abstract

The development of 21st century technology demands the world of education to continue to innovate, including in the learning of Physical Education, Sports, and Health. Physical activity learning that tends to be monotonous and lacks interactive media often leads to a decrease in student interest and motivation to learn. Therefore, this study developed a website-based physical fitness learning media called Fit & Fun Arena (FFA) as a more interesting learning alternative and in accordance with the needs of students. The study used the Research and Development method with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of the study were phase D students at SMP Negeri 5 Malang consisting of 5 students in the small group test and 30 students in the large group trial. The validation results showed that the media was in the very valid category, with an assessment of material experts of 98%, learning experts 85%, media experts 91%, and practitioner experts 93%. The small group trial obtained a score of 97% and the large group 92%, so the product was declared very valid. The "FFA" media was considered suitable for use as a supporter of more interactive PJOK learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran multimedia interaktif berbasis Canva Site pada materi lompat jauh untuk siswa kelas VIII SMP di Kabupaten dan Kota Malang serta mengetahui tingkat kelayakan media yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian melibatkan siswa kelas VIII SMP dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 120 siswa, serta validator yang terdiri atas ahli materi, ahli media, dan praktisi pembelajaran PJOK. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket validasi dan angket respon pengguna. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dalam bentuk persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran multimedia interaktif berbasis Canva Site memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 92%. Setiap aspek penilaian, yaitu kemenarikan (90%), kesesuaian (92%), kebermanfaatan (92%), kejelasan (92%), dan kelayakan (94%), berada pada rentang 85%-100% dengan kategori sangat layak. Dengan demikian, media yang dikembangkan dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Selain itu, hasil uji coba kepada siswa menunjukkan respon yang sangat positif terhadap tampilan, kemudahan penggunaan, dan kejelasan materi. demikian, media pembelajaran multimedia interaktif berbasis Canva Site layak digunakan sebagai media pendukung pembelajaran PJOK pada materi lompat jauh siswa kelas VIII SMP. Kontribusi penelitian ini adalah menyediakan inovasi media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Canva Site yang dapat menjadi alternatif pendukung pembelajaran PJOK, khususnya materi lompat jauh, serta mendorong pemanfaatan teknologi dalam meningkatkan kualitas dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

There have not been many studies that comprehensively analyze the combined role of Body Mass Index, leg length, and leg muscle explosive power on this specific ability in elementary school children. This study aims to analyze the relationship between BMI, leg length, and leg muscle explosive power with the movement ability of kids' athletics in the frog jump event. The method used was quantitative correlational with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 45 sixth-grade students from SDN Jombang II, selected using total sampling technique. Data were collected through anthropometric measurements (weight, height, leg length) and physical tests (standing broad jump and frog jump), then analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression. The results showed that, partially, the three variables had a significant positive relationship with frog jumping (r BMI=0.678; r leg length=0.767; r explosive power=0.720). Simultaneously, the three variables had a very strong (R=0.878) and significant relationship, and were able to explain 77.1% of the variance in frog jump ability (R²=0.771). The largest effective contribution was made by leg length (35.51%), followed by explosive power (30.53%), and IMT (11.05%). It was concluded that these three factors together greatly determine frog jump ability, with leg length as the main contributor.

Abstract

Physical fitness and basic technical skills are important factors that support the performance of basketball players. However, based on initial observations at SMA Negeri 5 Malang, no measurements of physical fitness and basic technical skills have been conducted on members of the basketball extracurricular club. This study aims to analyze the level of physical fitness, dribbling and passing skills. The method used is quantitative descriptive with a survey design. The research sample consisted of 55 students selected using purposive proportional sampling. The research instruments were Indonesian physical fitness tests and basketball passing and dribbling skill tests that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson's Product Moment correlation. The results showed that the students' physical fitness levels were dominated by the very poor 49.09% and poor 45.45% categories. Passing skills were in the good category 92.73%, while dribbling skills were dominated by the poor category 41.82%. Correlation analysis showed a significant relationship between speed, arm muscle strength, leg muscle power, and cardiovascular endurance with dribbling skills p < 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that physical fitness and dribbling skills are still low, so a structured training program that integrates physical development and skills is needed.

Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship between arm muscle strength, movement speed, and body flexibility with basketball dribbling skills. A quantitative correlation approach was used with 40 athletes selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a standard push-up test for arm muscle strength, a 30 m sprint for movement speed, a sit-and-reach test for flexibility, and a zig-zag dribble test for skill assessment. The results showed a significant correlation between the three variables and dribbling ability, with movement speed showing the strongest relationship r=0.584, followed by body flexibility r=0.373 and arm strength r=0.137. Overall, these physical components explained 41.6% of the variation in dribbling skills R²=0.416. The analysis showed that movement speed contributed the most with a relative contribution of 46.1%, while arm strength contributed the least with 14.3%. These findings suggest that although all three physical aspects are important, training programs for adolescent female basketball players should emphasize the development of speed and increased flexibility to optimize dribbling performance.

Abstract

Background: Drug-resistant tuberculosis (Drug-resistant TB) is a serious public health challenge in Indonesia. Limited access to healthcare services, delayed diagnosis, and barriers to treatment contribute to the development of drug resistance. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the relationship between access to healthcare services and the incidence of DRT. Method: This quantitative observational study with a cross-sectional design involved 1,298 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were obtained from the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey. The incidence of DRT was designated as the dependent variable, while access to healthcare services was the main independent variable, with confounding factors including residence, gender, age, education, employment status, and economic status. Data analysis was performed using univariate tests, chi-square tests, and logistic regression. Results: A total of 39.06% of respondents were diagnosed with DRT, and 88.98% experienced difficulty accessing healthcare services. Multivariate analysis showed no significant association between access to healthcare services and DRT. Age ≥65 years was the only factor significantly associated with drug-resistant TB (DR-TB), and other variables did not show a significant effect. Conclusion: Access to health services as measured in this study did not significantly influence DR-TB due to its limited scope, which only captured the physical dimension of access. Suggestion: Future research should use multidimensional access indicators to understand the factors influencing DR-TB in Indonesia.   Keywords: Access; Drug Resistance; Health Services; Tuberculosis (TB).

Abstract

This study aims to produce a digital flipbook learning media product containing variations of educational games based on deep learning to improve the power component of the physical fitness of Grade VII students, which is valid and feasible to use. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) by adopting the ADDIE development model modified into four stages (ADDE), namely Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation, without field implementation. Data were collected using needs analysis questionnaires (teachers and students) and evaluation sheets in the form of validation instruments from experts. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the needs analysis showed that 71.8% of students wanted an attractive digital media display and 56.2% of students liked using a flipbook application. The product validation test results by the material expert reached 97% and by the media expert 96%, so that the average product feasibility percentage was 96.5% with very valid and very feasible criteria. Based on these results, it can be concluded that this deep learning-based educational game variation digital flipbook learning media is declared very valid and feasible to be used

Abstract

This study was conducted to develop a digital learning medium in the form of a flipbook containing variations of educational games based on the deep learning approach for the balance component of physical fitness among seventh-grade students. The objective was to produce a learning medium that is both valid and appropriate for classroom use. This research adopted the Research and Development (R&D) method using a modified ADDIE model consisting of four stages: Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation (ADDE). The implementation stage was omitted due to the limited duration of the research. Data were collected through validation instruments completed by a material expert and a media expert. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive percentage analysis, while qualitative data in the form of comments and suggestions were used to revise and improve the product. The final product was an interactive digital flipbook integrating learning materials, visual illustrations of game formations, and demonstration videos of educational games. The validation results showed that the developed media achieved a "Highly Valid" classification, with a score of 97.06% from the media expert and 94.11% from the material expert, resulting in an overall average validity of 95.58%. Therefore, the developed digital flipbook is considered suitable for use as a learning medium to enhance students' conceptual understanding, encourage active motor participation, and reduce learning boredom during physical education lessons.
