Abstract

Natural feed is an initial feed that has a complete nutritional content and is closer to the biological needs of fish larvae, one of which is Tubifex sp. Tubifex sp is a type of natural feed that is very important in freshwater aquaculture activities, especially for catfish hatcheries. Tubifex sp. has a fairly high nutritional content, 57% protein, 13.3% fat, 2.04% crude fiber, 3.6% ash content and 87.7% water. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fermentor dosing on tofu dregs as a Tubifex sp. culture medium on population and biomass growth rates. This research was conducted in August - October 2023 located in the laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University. The research method used was an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The fermentor dose used was in the treatment P0 (0.0 ml), P1 (0.5 ml), P2 (1.0 ml), P3 (1.5 ml). The results of this study indicated that the dose of fermentor on tofu dregs as a culture medium for Tubifex sp. had a significant effect (P<0.05) on population and biomass. The highest population and biomass were found in treatment P2, with a population of 13519 ind and a biomass of 49.52 grams which were reared for 56 days. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that giving fermenter doses to tofu dregs as a Tubifex sp. culture medium can increase population and biomass.

This research was conducted on April - May 2021, at Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory of Fishery and Marine Science Faculty of Riau University. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of Kirinyuh leaf (Euphatorium odoratum) solvent and the optimal dose on hatching rate of tambaqui larvae (Colossoma macropomum). The method used was a Completely Randomized Design Factorial with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The dose of kirinyuh leaf solvent used was P0 (0 mg/L) P1 (100 mg/L) P2 (120 mg/L) and P3 (140 mg/L). rGH with 3 levels; 0 mg/L (D0), 1.5 mg/L (D1,5) and 2.5 mg/L (D2,5). The immersion duration of kirinyuh leaf solvent is 20 minutes with 100 eggs for the density. The results showed that the use of different doses of kirinyuh leaf solvent gave very real effect to fertilization rate with highiest point (87,33%) following with hatching rate (88,00%), and survival rate (83,66%).

Abstract

Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Universitas Riau, Pekanbaru. This research aims to determine the effect of Dancow full cream milk powder on eggs adhesive, fertilization rate, hatching, and the survival of Green Catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus) larvae. This experimental research used a completely randomized design with a factorial pattern (CRD) with 1 factor, 4 levels of treatment, and 3 replications. The treatment levels covered P0: No washing (Control), P1: 12 g of powdered milk + 1 g of NaCl/L of water, P2: 14 g of powdered milk + 1 g of NaCl/L of water, P3: 16 g of powdered milk + 1 g of NaCl/L of water and Washing is done for 20 minutes. The washing was performed on 1 gram of eggs or with a density of ± 570 eggs in each treatment. The best washing solution for washing eggs contained 16 g of powdered milk + 1 g of NaCl resulting in 93.57% of eggs that do not stick together (non-adhesive) and the fertilization rate reached 83.16% with the hatching rate of 86.77% and larval survival (SR 7 days) of 90.3%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of light on the container and the dose of Tubifex sp. on the growth and survival of Asian Redtail Catfish larvae and determine the treatment with the best interaction results. This research method was experimental with a Factorial Completely Randomized Design with two 2 factors, the first was light container consisting of 2 levels, namely light container and dark container. While the second factor was the dose of Tubifex sp. consisted of 3 levels namely 40%, 60%, and 80%. There are 6 combinations with 3 replications. The treatments consisted of: 1) WtP40 (bright container and dose of Tubifex sp. 40%), 2) WtP60 (bright container and dose of Tubifex sp. 60%), 3) WtP80 (bright container and dose of Tubifex sp. 80%) 4) WgP40 (dark container and dose of Tubifex sp. 40%), 5) WgP60 (dark container and dose of Tubifex sp. 60%), and 6) WgP80 (dark container and dose of Tubifex sp. 80%). The results showed that the light of the container and the dose of Tubifex sp. Had significant effect and statistical test results (Student Newman Keuls P > 0.05) on the growth and survival of baung fish larvae. The best treatment was WgP80 with an absolute weight of 1.94 g, absolute length 6.2 cm, LPS 16.16%, feed efficiency 25.49%, and survival rate 93.21%. Water quality parameters during the research were measured by the results of temperatures ranging from 27.0-28.2 , pH ranging from 6.3-7.2, and DO ranging from 4.0-5.4 mg/l.
