Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji korelasi antara kemampuan menganalisis dan mengevaluasi Pada indikator keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif korelatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini ialah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII UPT SPF SMP Negeri 54 Makassar yang berjumlah 91 peserta didik dan tersebar di 3 kelas yang berbeda. Pengambilan sampel melalui teknik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh sampel penelitian terdiri dari 44 peserta didik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat korelasi antara kedua kemampuan indikator berpikir tingkat tinggi menganalisis dan mengevaluasi dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,09.

Abstract

Student learning style is one of the important things that teachers need to know before carrying out the learning process. So that teachers can determine the appropriate learning process for the class. This study uses quantitative descriptive which aims to identify the learning styles of prospective science teachers. The research sample amounted to 71 students of class 2022 Science Education FMIPA UNM. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with 30 statement items with 5 scales. This learning style focuses on visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. The results showed that overall, dominant students had a visual learning style.

Abstract

Adjusting to developments in learning, educators are required to be creative and the quality of human resources must be improved through educational channels using science teaching aids. The research results obtained were that the response from alumni of the program study Science Education UNM before the workshop on making science props was 100% very interested in taking part in the workshop on making props and the response from alumni of program study Science Education UNM after the workshop on making science props was 76.5% of participants after it was held There will be a continuation of the workshop on making science teaching aids to develop teaching aids in science learning in Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Therefore, training or workshops on making science teaching aids were held for alumni of the program study Science Education UNM.

Abstract

Indonesia adalah Negara pemilik bahasa daerah terbanyak, namun ada banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi punahnya bahasa-bahasa daerah tersebut. Diantaranya adanya pengaruh globalisasi, etnis mayoritas dan minioritas, serta kurangnya minat generasi muda terhadap budaya. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada lingkup jenjang sekolah dasar (SD) dan sekolah menengah pertama (SMP) yaitu minimnya pengetahuan peserta didik tentang budaya lokal khususnya pada bahasa daerah sehingga diperlukan sebuah pelatihan yang berkegiatan pelatihan kurikulum muatan lokal. Pelatihan adalah kegiatan melatih atau mengembangkan suatu keterampilan dan pengetahuan kepada diri sendiri atau orang lain, yang terkait dengan kompetensi tertentu yang dianggap berguna sedangkan kurikulum adalah sejumlah pengetahuan atau mata pelajaran yang harus ditempuh atau diselesaikan pebelajar guna mencapai suatu tingkatan atau ijazah. Pelatihan Kurikulum Muatan Lokal Pendidikan Dasar guna memenuhi program yang terdapat pada Peraturan Daerah No. 02 Tahun 2014 tentang pendidikan. maka dalam hal ini Disdikpora tepatnya di kota Majene mengadakan kegiatan sosialisasi dan melaksanakan sebuah kegiatan dalam bentuk bimbingan teknik pada materi alur tujuan pembelajaran dan modul pembelajaran guna untuk melahirkan kurikulum muatan lokal bahasa daerah dan melahirkan pendidik yang lebih berkualitas lagi.

Abstract

Pembelajaran pada Abad ke 21 tidak hanya menuntut peserta didik menguasai materi, tetapi peserta didik juga diharapkan dapat menerapkan materi tersebut dalam bentuk keterampilan yang dapat memberikan manfaat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Berbagai pendekatan pembelajaran inovatif dapat menjadi solusi agar proses pembelajaran menjadi bermakna dan dapat melatihkan berbagai keterampilan pada peserta didik. Salah satu model pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat digunakan oleh pendidik yaitu pendekatan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Dengan penggunaan pendekatan pembelajaran yang tepat maka dapat menunjang keberhasilan pendidik untuk meningkatkan dan menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa terkhusus materi IPA di SMP. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan studi literatur terkait pendekatan STEM dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Artikel yang dipilih merupakan artikel yang terbit pada jurnal terindeks SINTA 1,2,3, dan 4. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dari berbagai artikel, menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan STEM dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA SMP.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the level of science literacy ability and collaboration skill of prospective science teachers in the course of Matter and Energy and analyze the influence of STEM-PJBL learning on literacy abilities science and collaboration skills. This research is a pre-experiment with the research design used was One-Shot Case Study. In this design, students are given treatment, then observations are made about collaboration skill and they are given a scientific literacy ability test. The population in this study were all students of the faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, Universitas Negeri Makassar at the Science Education Study Program in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, while the sample in this study was students in the regular class of the 3rd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year which consisted of 2 classes that programmed the course of Matter and Energy. The regular class 01 as an experimental class and regular class 02 as a replication class. The research instruments used to measure collaboration skills are non-test instruments in the form of collaboration skills observation sheets and scientific literacy test instruments in the form of multiple choices. The results of descriptive statistical analysis show that the level of scientific literacy skills is in high category and the level of collaboration skills of prospective science teachers is in the very high category. The results of the inferential analysis show that the application of STEM-PJBL influences the scientific literacy abilities and collaboration skills of prospective science teachers in substance and energy courses. These results show that STEM-PJBL learning can be applied to other subjects because it can improve scientific literacy skills and collaboration skills of prospective teachers. It can be implemented to examine the effectiveness of this model in similar variables on the other subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in learning motivation by using Quizizz media and student books in Class VIII SMPN 27 Makassar. This type of research is Quasi-Experiment research and quantitave approach with a research design using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population was all students of class VIII SMPN 27 Makassar consisting of 10 classes with a total of 367 people, the sample was selected by purposive sampling, with 2 classes, namely class VIII 6 totaling 23 people as the control class and class VIII 8 totaling 23 people as the experimental class. The research instrument was a questionnaire of learning motivation and the data was analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of this study learning motivation in control and experimental classes were at a moderate level with a percentage of 39%. Inferential statistical data on learning motivation can be degrees of freedom (dk) which is 44, so that the ttable is obtained 1.68023. so that the tcount = 0.719 < ttable = 1.68023. There is no difference in the learning motivation of students using Quizizz and printed books in class VIII SMPN 27 Makassar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji validitas dan kepraktisan instrumen keterampilan proses sains (KPS) yang dikembangkan untuk mendukung pembelajaran sains di tingkat sekolah menengah. KPS mencakup kemampuan-kemampuan mendasar seperti observasi, klasifikasi, pengukuran, dan penyimpulan, yang penting bagi pemahaman ilmiah yang mendalam dan penerapan konsep dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini divalidasi menggunakan pendekatan validasi isi, konstruksi, dan kriteria dengan melibatkan empat validator yang mengevaluasi kesesuaian dan ketepatan butir soal dalam mengukur KPS. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar butir soal memiliki tingkat validitas yang tinggi, sementara beberapa butir berada dalam kategori sedang dan memerlukan perbaikan lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengukuran. Pengujian kepraktisan instrumen dilakukan melalui uji coba lapangan dengan melibatkan guru dan siswa, yang menilai aspek kemudahan penggunaan dan relevansi instrumen dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa instrumen ini praktis dan dapat diterapkan dengan baik dalam konteks pembelajaran. Kesimpulannya, instrumen ini terbukti valid dan praktis untuk mengukur KPS siswa, meskipun revisi pada beberapa butir soal diperlukan agar instrumen ini dapat memberikan hasil pengukuran yang lebih akurat dan konsisten. Penggunaan instrumen ini diharapkan dapat mendukung evaluasi KPS secara efektif, sehingga membantu guru dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran sains di sekolah.

Abstract

This study assesses the Virtual Laboratory-Based Inquiry Restoration (VLab-InR) model's effectiveness in enhancing students’ factual and procedural knowledge. Developed as a virtual science lab alternative, especially useful during COVID-19 restrictions, the model structures science experiments in a digital environment. A quasi-experimental design with 42 students in two non-randomized groups, A and B, was employed. Pre- and post-assessments measured knowledge gains, and a questionnaire gauged student response. Data analysis using an independent t-test showed significant improvements, with a moderate normalized gain in both groups. Group A had a higher average increase than Group B. Students rated VLab-InR positively, with an approval average of 91.58%. Findings suggest VLab-InR effectively enhances factual and procedural knowledge and fosters critical thinking through virtual simulations, offering a practical solution for science learning in the digital age.

Abstract

Collaboration skills are one of the skills that are needed in 21st Century learning. The research method used is a literature study that examines collaboration skills in science learning. A total of 15 articles that examine collaboration skills are collected and then analyzed so as to get recommendations regarding literature studies. The results of the study can be concluded that applying several learning models such as problem-based learning (PBL), Project-Based Learning (PjBL) can increase productivity, efficiency, and quality of teamwork results. In addition to learning models, the right teaching materials can affect the ability of collaboration skills in science learning. The types of teaching materials that should be used are STEM and discovery-based teaching materials.
