Abstract

This research is motivated by the inculcation of character which is the school's vision, at Al-Ishlah Islamic Junior High School Bukittinggi. The school's vision reads, "Creating Religious, Character, Intellectual and Skilled People", and also based on initial observations, researchers see good character shown by students. One of the actions taken by Al-Ishlah Islamic Junior High School to realize the school's vision is to instill character in learning, including in learning mathematics. This study aims to describe the cultivation of character in learning mathematics in class VII SMP Islam Al-Ishlah Bukittinggi. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. This study uses 3 kinds of data collection techniques, namely, interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data in this study used source triangulation and method triangulation. The data analysis technique of this research is to combine the concepts of Miles and Huberman with Spradley and Yin. Based on the research results, character planting in mathematics learning goes through 3 stages, namely: character planting in learning planning, character planting in the process of implementing learning and character planting in learning evaluation. In planning learning mathematics, in the lesson plans there are elements of character planting on learning objectives and a focus on attitude values, then carried out in learning steps, starting from opening activities, core activities and closing. In the mathematics syllabus, the element of character building is seen in KI-1 and KI-2 and there are indicators of character strengthening education. There are 6 indicators that become the focus of character planting in mathematics learning, namely: religious, discipline, hard work, curiosity, confidence and responsibility. Character planting in the learning process is carried out, starting from the beginning to the end of the learning process, starting from the opening by praying, then when the teacher explains the material and gives assignments, the teacher instills discipline, hard work, curiosity, confidence and responsibility to the participants. educate. Planting character in learning evaluation is carried out at every meeting by assessing the attitudes of students in attitude assessment journals and by giving questions that contain elements of character. Abstract

Students achieve KKM on mathematics learning outcomes. That is, in Cycle 1, there were 9 students who reached 70 or more, and in Cycle 2, up to 13 students reached 70. Based on the learning conducted at SMPN 3 Tilatang Kamang, class VIII's mathematics learning achievement is still low. This is because the teacher does not use group learning. The motive of this study was to discover whether or not the software of the "Numbered Heads Together" cooperative learning model can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. The investigative method used is the PTK method at SMPN 3 Tilatang Kamang. This classroom action research method has two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. This classroom action research was carried out at SMPN 3 Tiratan Kaman in semester I of the 2022-2023 school year with a total of 20 students in class VIII subjects. This study found that in Cycle I, 9 students (45%) achieved KKM scores above 70, and in Cycle II, 13 students (65%) achieved scores above 70. The KKM achieved being 70, it can be concluded that learning using cooperative learning models of the "number heads together" type can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics. Keywords: studying consequences; cooperative learning; numbered heads together.

Abstract

Student learning interest is a willingness or desire in students to learn something. When students have a high interest in learning mathematics they will study as best they can at school or at home, conversely if students lack a high interest in learning mathematics they are not enthusiastic about learning mathematics, this has implications for low learning outcomes in mathematics. The author describes the interest in learning mathematics in class XII TKJ students at the Pembina Bangsa Vocational School, Bukittinggi. The subjects used were 19 class XII TKJ students at Pembina Bangsa Vocational High School Bukittinggi and a math teacher for XII TKJ class at Pembina Bangsa Vocational High School Bukittinggi. Research data was collected using interviews and questionnaires. Questionnaire data on interest in learning mathematics in class XII TKJ students at the Pembina Bangsa Vocational High School Bukittinggi as a whole obtained a percentage of 90% which was classified as very high. Students enjoy learning mathematics, are actively involved when learning activities take place, feel interested in learning mathematics and focus when learning mathematics takes place. In the first indicator, namely students' enjoyment in learning mathematics, a percentage of 89% is classified as very high, in the second indicator, namely attention students when participating in mathematics learning obtain a percentage of 90% which is classified as very high, on the third indicator, namely student interest when learning mathematics obtains a percentage of 92% which is classified very high, and on the fourth indicator, namely student involvement when learning mathematics obtains a percentage of 90% which classified as very high. Abstract

The ability of mathematical understanding is a meaningful ability in mathematical learning, the ability of mathematical understanding is important to students because it can help students think systematically and it can help students solve mathematical problems. The aim of this study is to know the mathematical understanding abilities of high-ability students, medium and low. The study is a descriptive. The participant of this study is X class of AKL SMK Pembina Bangsa there were 15 students. The instrument use in this study is test and interview 6 students of mathematical comprehension. The result of this study is students who have high criteria of mathematical comprehension 67%, medium criteria 20%, and low criteria 13%. Students who have high criteria are able to make an example and state what are known and asked, and students are able to solve that problem well, and able to stated the conclusion of the result found. Students who have medium criteria are just not writing an examples and stating what are known and asked but students are able to complete the operational completion with correct answer, and students can stated the conclusion better, and students who have low criteria are unable to explain the fact and concept of an example, students are unable to state what are known and asked of mathematic models, and students are also unable to combine the previous things with a new things and students are wrong in operating them, and students are not write the conclusion correctly.
