Abstract

In the age of digital transformation, digital competence has become crucial for vocational educators to effectively align learning practices with the changing demands of the industry. This study aims to analyze the global development and thematic trends surrounding digital competence in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) through a combined approach of bibliometric analysis and a systematic literature review, referred to as Systematic Literature Network Analysis (SLNA). Utilizing Scopus as the primary database, the research retrieved 216 articles and employed bibliometric visualization tools (Bibliometrix, Biblioshiny, VOSviewer) alongside eligibility criteria-based screening for the systematic review. The results reveal three key insights: (1) significant connections between digital competence and the advancement of AI in vocational education, (2) the emerging importance of interaction and social competence in enhancing digital literacy, and (3) the limited yet essential integration of AI literacy within current digital competence frameworks. Two selected articles from the systematic literature review suggest that the combination of digital and social competencies is vital for preparing vocational teachers and students for the demands of a technology-driven workforce. This study underscores the necessity for a forward-looking digital competence framework that addresses the interplay between digital skills, social skills, and AI readiness within vocational education contexts.

Abstract

Various factors become obstacles to developing renewable energy technology, including people's low knowledge of renewable energy and low 21st-century skills. Therefore, designing learning that can increase understanding of renewable energy and improve 21st-century skills simultaneously is essential. This study aimed to create programs of environmental physics lectures about OWC as a renewable energy source. This research was developmental research with analysis, design, and development stages. The products in this study were test instruments to measure creative thinking skills, OWC converters prototype, and a project-based lecture program oriented towards providing creative thinking skills through a combination of lectures in the classroom, laboratory, and marine environment. Five experts validated all products. In addition, besides experts' validation, the creative thinking test instrument was tested on 17 students who had taken environmental physics lectures. In contrast, a marine engineering laboratory tested the prototype at a university in Bandung. Experts' validity data were analyzed using the content validity ratio, while the test instrument data were calculated for reliability, validity, discrimination, and difficulty levels. Based on the results of expert validation, all products are feasible to be implemented. Based on the test results, the prototype developed functions well, while for the test instrument of 10 questions developed, only eight questions were eligible to be used. All of the products produced can be used as a reference and reference for lecturers or teachers who develop learning about renewable energy and equip students with creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Reports on the evaluation of the most relevant themes on career adaptability through bibliometric analysis using the keyword “career adaptability” as its input aims to get a comprehensive view of current issues and trends in career adaptability research. The VOSviewer software in collaboration with Microsoft Excel and Open Refine was adopted as tool to visualize the network of authors, countries of origins and keywords in publication data mined on June 19 2022. The analysis found a total of 728 scientific publication from 1981 to 2022. The results show that in the last 15 years the number of career adaptability publications has grown very significantly. The United States is a major country contributing of publications. Author analysis presents Nota L as the most prolific author, while Savickas L is a prominent author while Guan Y is the writer with the best writing network with 8 other writers on career adaptability. Academic Press Inc. dominates the publication with 22.94% of it is production. Keyword analysis shows that career adaptability studies in the last two decades have focused on the theme of career planning through the establishment of a career guidance framework that aims to create prosperity.

Abstract

This study examines how entrepreneurial learning experiences influence students’ career intentions and entrepreneurial actions through psychosocial mediators—self-efficacy, outcome expectations, and interest—and tests whether background contextual support moderates these relationships within the framework of the Entrepreneurial Social Cognitive Career Model (ESCCM). The study employed a quantitative approach with random sampling, involving 1,249 students from 16 universities in Indonesia. Data were collected online over a 10-week period using a structured questionnaire developed based on ESCCM indicators. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate a significant serial mediation effect explaining how Entrepreneurial Learning Experiences (ELE) influence Entrepreneurial Choice Action (ECA), with a cumulative indirect effect of 0.166 across two major mediation pathways. Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy (ESE) emerged as the strongest mediator, jointly accounting for 65.2% of the variance in ECA. These results emphasize the importance of systematically supporting the development of self-efficacy, outcome expectations, intentions, and goal orientation in entrepreneurship education. The study offers practical implications for designing adaptive entrepreneurship education programs and provides empirical support for the ESCCM framework, which posits that entrepreneurship education shapes career choices through a complex sequence of psychosocial mediators.
