Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of guidance and counseling services on student academic achievement at SMPN 54 Bandung. The focus of the research is on aspects of service quality, student satisfaction, learning effectiveness, increased motivation, and the impact of services on academic achievement. The type of research method used is a quantitative method with a survey approach. This method was chosen to obtain data that can be measured and analyzed statistically. This study involved subjects consisting of 30 students 8th grade junior high school, who were randomly selected with a balanced composition between male students (15 students) and female students (15 students). The random sample selection aims to get a good representation of the population. The results showed that learning services in guidance and counseling have a strong influence on the academic achievement of junior high school students. Based on the analysis of five aspects measured through questionnaires, it can be seen that the aspects of Experience, Motivation, Effectiveness, Quality, and Satisfaction all show “Strong” criteria with the average percentage of each aspect in the range of 76% to 79%.This study shows that learning services in guidance and counseling have a significant and positive influence on the academic achievement of junior high school students. These results indicate that guidance and counseling services in schools are not only well received by students but also markedly contribute to improving their academic achievement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan pendekatan verifikasi dan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kognitif siswa pada materi pesawat sederhana. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang menggunakan rancangan eksperimen pretest-posttest. Sampel dalam penelitian ini ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tempel, dan sampelnya adalah 26 siswa dari kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 yang diberikan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan verifikasi dan 26 siswa dari kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 yang diberikan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing. Pengujian hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji-t. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan pendekatan verifikasi dan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kognitif siswa pada materi pesawat sederhana dengan nilai thitung > ttabel yaitu thitung = 2,844 dan ttabel 0.025 = 2,0105 dan nilai Sig.< 0,05 yaitu 0,016.   Kata kunci: Pendekatan, inkuiri terbimbing, verifikasi, kognitif.

Abstract

Abstract Creative thinking skills are a crucial aspect of 21st-century education, encompassing the ability to generate original, flexible, and elaborative ideas. This study employed a quantitative research method using parametric inferential statistics with a sample of 32 seventh-grade students from class 7B. The sample was selected from the entire student population at SMPIT Al-Musyarrofah using the cluster random sampling technique. The results indicate an improvement in students' creative thinking skills after completing the project, as evidenced by the One Sample Test results. The significance value (two-tailed) was 0.000, leading to the rejection of H0. It can be concluded that students achieved an average score greater than 75, indicating an enhancement in their creative thinking skills. This project allowed students to explore, solve problems creatively, and express ideas about the importance of environmental conservation. Thus, project-based learning, such as creating posters and comics, has proven effective in enhancing students' creative thinking skills. This study recommends using similar methods to develop creative thinking skills and raise environmental awareness across various educational contexts. Abstrak Keterampilan berpikir kreatif adalah salah satu aspek krusial pada pendidikan abad 21, yg mencakup kemampuan menghasilkan ilham-wangsit orisinal, fleksibel, dan elaboratif. Metode penelitian yg digunakan pada riset ini adalah  kuantitatif menggunakan memakai statistik inferensial parametrik. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas 7B sejumlah 32 orang. Sampel diperoleh dari populasi seluruh peserta didik SMPIT Al-Musyarrofah menggunakan tehnik cluster random sampling.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik setelah selesai mengikuti proyek tersebut berdasarkan hasil One Sample Test, dimana nilai sig (dua-tailed) adalah 0,000 sehingga H0 ditolak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta didik memiliki nilai rata-rata lebih dari 75 yang berarti bahwa keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik meningkat. Proyek ini memberikan ruang bagi peserta didik untuk dapat bereksplorasi, memecahkan persoalan secara kreatif, dan mengekspresikan gagasan mengenai pentingnya menjaga lingkungan. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran berbasis proyek seperti pembuatan poster serta komik ini terbukti efektif dalam menaikkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan metode serupa pada upaya pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kreatif serta pencerahan lingkungan pada banyak sekali konteks pendidikan.

Abstract

This study analyzes the quality of preparation, process, and learning outcomes in applying the discovery learning model. The method used in this research was evaluation with the Countenance Stake model. The population of this research was natural science students and teachers throughout Indonesia. The sample was the seventh-grade students from Sleman Regency and teachers representing several provinces. Data collection was through document review, observation sheets, and teacher and student questionnaires. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive technique. The results of this study indicated that the quality of the preparation and implementation process of the discovery learning model was quite good. Student learning outcomes were fairly good but had not applied assessments of critical skill, problem-solving, creativity, and innovation as a requirement of 21st-century learning evaluation. The study results were expected to provide an overview of the quality of teacher preparation, process, and learning outcomes in applying the discovery learning model. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas persiapan, proses, dan hasil belajar dalam menerapkan model discovery learning. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian evaluasi dengan model Countenance Stake. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa dan guru IPA se-Indonesia dengan sample siswa berasal dari Kabupaten Sleman serta guru dari perwakilan beberapa provinsi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar telaah dokumen, lembar observasi, angket guru, dan angket siswa. Data dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kualitas persiapan dan proses pelaksanaan model discovery learning sudah cukup baik. Hasil belajar siswa cukup baik, namun belum menerapkan penilaian keterampilan kritis, pemecahan masalah, kreativitas dan inovasi sebagai tuntutan dalam penilaian pembelajaran abad 21. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran umum tentang kualitas persiapan, proses, dan hasil belajar guru dalam menerapkan model discovery learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the analytical thinking skills of prospective teacher students in scientific learning of energy materials by applying a Research-Based Learning model (RBL). This study used a mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. The respondents selected through purposive sampling were 70 students, and 2 of them were for interview data. The research data was collected using a test instrument in the form of 10 essay questions and a non-test in the form of open interviews to students. The average pre-test score for the essay test was 45.71, the post-test score was 68.71, and the N-gain value was 42.37%. These results provide information about analytical thinking skills on energy concepts which are still in the moderate category, so alternative learning strategies are needed to improve the ability of prospective teachers in science learning. This research has recently developed five indicators of analytical thinking skills based on quantitative and qualitative studies on energy materials in science learning. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan berpikir analitis mahasiswa calon guru dalam pembelajaran saintifik materi energi dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis penelitian (RBL). Penelitian ini menggunakan mixed method dengan desain sequential explanatory. Responden yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling sebanyak 70 siswa, dan 2 diantaranya untuk data wawancara.. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes berupa 10 soal essay dan non-test berupa wawancara terbuka kepada siswa. Rata-rata nilai pretest tes esai adalah 45,71, nilai posttest 68,71, dan nilai N-gain 42,37%. Hasil tersebut memberikan informasi tentang keterampilan berpikir analitis pada konsep energi yang masih dalam kategori sedang, sehingga diperlukan alternatif strategi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan calon guru dalam pembelajaran sains. Penelitian ini memiliki kebaruan mengembangkan lima indikator kemampuan berpikir analitis berdasarkan kajian kuantitatif dan kualitatif pada materi energi dalam pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran fisika, dengan fokus pada materi suhu dan kalor. Keterampilan berpikir kritis merupakan komponen penting dalam pembelajaran fisika, mengingat pemahaman yang mendalam tentang kedua konsep suhu dan kalor ini membutuhkan kemampuan analitis yang tinggi dan pemahaman yang komprehensif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus untuk menganalisis bagaimana siswa mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mereka selama pembelajaran. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes yang diberikan kepada siswa dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 23 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa setelah mengerjakan tes menunjukan hasil dengan rata rata 62%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan hasil penelitian ini bahwa keterampilan berpikir siswa masih tergolong baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran fisika terhadap berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi gerak lurus, supaya bisa tau sejauhamana peserta didik bisa memecahkan masalah dengan cara berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel peserta didik di kelas XI dengan jumlah 25 peserta didik. Teknik untuk pengumpulan datanya yaitu dengan memberikan soal sebanyak 10 soal dengan materi gerak lurus. Berdasarkan hasil yang telah didapat bahwa dari peserta didik, terdapat 20% yang menjawab benar untuk soal yang dikategorikan mudah, sementara hanya 13% yang menjawab benar untuk soal yang dikategorikan sedang, dan hanya 10,6% yang menjawab benar untuk soal yang dikategorikan rendah. Pada penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menawarkan alternatif untuk mengembangkan proses pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik guna meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to obtain information on student activity and improvement of learning outcomes of seventh grade students of SMP PLUS AL-GHONIYYAH. The concept of Classification of Substances with sub-concepts in cycle I indicators of a healthy environment, while cycle II on Natural Indicators. The research was conducted on VIII grade students consisting of 32 people and one teacher. The research subjects were determined based on the consideration of the science teacher with the researcher. Learning model using Project based learning model. Data were obtained through initial tests of students before learning was carried out and final tests after learning, observation activities (performance) of students and activities (achievement) of teachers during learning each cycle, pre tests and post tests to determine student learning outcomes (gain index) each cycle, along with student response questionnaires during the Project-based learning model in learning conducted in class. The learning outcome evaluation tool used is a multiple choice test to capture the increase in student learning outcomes regarding environmental pollution material. Based on the results of the analysis of learning by implementing the Merdeka Curriculum through the Project-based learning model, there was an increase in student activity of 82% (cycle I) and 89% (cycle II), teacher achievement in learning 79.31% (cycle I) to 96% (cycle II, Increased Learning Outcomes in the Affective Domain by 72% (cycle I) and 96% (cycle II), the Cognitive Domain got a gain index of 0.44 (cycle I medium category) to 0.64 (cycle II high category), the Psychomotor domain from 75% (cycle I) to 86% (cycle II). Students' responses to the Project-based learning model in learning a healthy environment have a positive response to liking science 92%, preparing lessons 85%, understanding the material 85%, being grateful that there is a healthy environment in life by 97%, collaborating in groups by 88%. Implementation of the independent curriculum through the Project based learning model can improve students' activities and learning outcomes. Implementation of the 2013 curriculum through the Project-based learning model can improve the activities and results of students' reasoning.

Abstract

Global warming is one of the most pressing issues of modern times. Rising Earth temperatures have serious consequences for life on Earth. Physics plays an important role in fighting global warming with various principles and applications. This article discusses physics's important role in overcoming the climate crisis and building a more sustainable future. The method used in this research is a literature review, which collects and analyzes various reliable sources, such as scientific journals, research reports, and mass media articles relevant to global warming and physical science. Where the journals used as references for obtaining data were 15 journals consisting of national and international journals. The article's content includes understanding the mechanisms of global warming through physical principles, developing renewable energy technology, increasing energy efficiency, mitigating the impacts of global warming, and increasing public awareness. Understanding the causes and effects of the climate catastrophe and creating ways to deal with it depends heavily on the physical sciences. Understanding the climate system and creating innovative technology to assist in lowering greenhouse gas emissions are two areas in which physicists have made significant strides. Still, much work needs to be done. Physicists must keep working to advance our knowledge of the climate system and create more cost-effective and efficient technology. Physicists should also support effective policy action and try to increase public knowledge of the climate crisis. Physicists can help create a more sustainable and ecologically friendly future for our world by continuing to create new knowledge and technology. The scope of their research was found to have numerous limitations by this investigation.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to apply Torricelli law in order to determine flow velocity of fluid by calculating the rate of change of gallon bottled water volume by using the derived equation and measuring the time required until the water in the gallon is exhausted. This research used experimental method by varying the height of liquid in gallons so that the variation of fluid velocity and the rate of volume change are obtained. The results show that the maximum fluid velocity was 0.22 m/s with a rate of change of volume of 0,010 m3/s, and the minimum fluid velocity of 0.063 m/s with a rate of change in volume of 0,0028 m3/s.
