Abstract

This study investigates the influence of employee empowerment and job crafting on work performance within service industries adopting modern management practices. Using a quantitative research design and survey data from 350 service employees, the study examines the direct effects of empowerment and job crafting on performance, as well as the mediating role of job crafting in the empowerment–performance relationship. The results show that employee empowerment significantly enhances work performance and strongly predicts job crafting behaviors. Job crafting also demonstrates a substantial positive effect on performance, highlighting its strategic importance as a proactive work behavior that enables employees to adapt their roles to organizational demands. Mediation analysis confirms that job crafting partially mediates the relationship between empowerment and performance, indicating that empowered employees are more likely to redesign their work in ways that enhance effectiveness. These findings contribute to the integration of empowerment theory and job crafting frameworks, offering theoretical insights and practical implications for improving employee adaptability, motivation, and productivity in service organizations. The study emphasizes the need for empowerment-oriented leadership and organizational support for proactive job redesign practices to foster a resilient and high-performing workforce.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education from an early age plays a strategic role in shaping children's independent, creative, and innovative character, especially for immigrant children who face social and economic challenges. This study aims to describe the importance of implementing entrepreneurship education for Malaysian immigrant early childhood children as an effort to create an empowered and independent generation in the future. The methods used include participatory, collaborative, and project-based learning approaches that integrate entrepreneurial values into children's daily activities. The results show that implementing entrepreneurship education can foster self-confidence, responsibility, communication skills, and a strong work ethic in children. Additionally, this program also increases parental involvement in the educational process and strengthens solidarity within the immigrant community. Despite persistent challenges such as limited resources, cultural differences, and limited policy support, entrepreneurship education has proven to be an effective instrument for child and community empowerment. Overall, early childhood entrepreneurship education not only prepares young generations for entrepreneurship but also builds the character and independence needed to face future global challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that cause human resource development (HRD) failure in companies through the systematic literature review (SLR) method with the PICO approach. This study highlights that failure in HR development is often caused by lack of management commitment, limited resources, irrelevant training strategies, and resistance to change. In addition, organizational culture that does not support learning is also a major obstacle. Herzberg's motivation theory and Lewin's theory of change are used as the basis for analysis, while the 70-20-10 model provides a modern perspective on experiential learning. The findings show that while HR development requires management commitment and organizational culture support, systematic evaluation remains a key element to ensure the success of training programs. The research also provides strategic recommendations, including increased budget allocation, better management of change, and alignment of training strategies with specific business needs. The results of this study are relevant to address the challenges of modern businesses in improving competitiveness through effective HR development.
