Abstract

Hydroponic farming has become increasingly popular since 2014 due to the increased accessibility of information and the efficient use of resources. Kebun Sayur Surabaya (KSS) is a producer and supplier of hydroponic vegetables experiencing changes in its business dynamics. Problems such as the continuing impact of the pandemic affecting the company's operations and the increasing competence of similar businesses require companies to improve performance to remain competitive. Performance measurement can be done using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) method, which considers all four perspectives: financial, customer, internal business processes, and learning and growth. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of KSS using the BSC method by considering four perspectives. Data was obtained through interviews, questionnaires, company financial data and related journal references. The analysis results show that KSS has been optimal in all four perspectives; overall financial performance and customer satisfaction have increased significantly, although some aspects have decreased in other perspectives. Some strategies to improve and increase business performance for industry players are obtained based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out.

Abstract

The increasing growth of businesses has intensified competition within various industries, particularly in the local fast food sector. One effective marketing strategy that can be employed is social media marketing. Consequently, it is essential to conduct research to analyze the impact of perceived social media marketing activities on brand loyalty, with brand awareness serving as an intervening variable. The objective of this study was to examine the influence of perceived social media marketing activities on enhancing brand loyalty. This research was conducted among consumers of local fast food in the Malang Raya region, utilizing convenience sampling techniques. The analysis was performed using SEM-PLS 7.0. The findings indicate that social media marketing activities have a positive and significant effect on local brand awareness and local brand loyalty. However, local brand awareness does not significantly mediate local brand loyalty. Electronic word of mouth (E-WOM) effectively mediates the connection between social media marketing and brand loyalty. In contrast, nationality did not effectively moderate the influence of social media marketing, brand awareness, and electronic word of mouth on brand loyalty. Thus, in the current era, massive social media activity within the local fast food industries can positively impact brand loyalty.

Abstract

Introduction: Performance evaluation is essential in defining supply chain strategies because the firm can find out how the business processes in the supply chain are running and formulate strategic policies. Kayumas coffee is one of Indonesia’s specialty coffee with a unique aroma and flavor originating from Kayumas Village, Situbondo District, East Java. Kayumas coffee supply chain needs to be evaluated because of the lack of competitiveness with other specialty coffees. Strategies are needed to improve supply chain performance, improve product quality, and reduce costs. This study aims to configure the supply chain of Kayumas specialty coffee structure, evaluate its performance, and determine performance improvement strategies. Methods: This study uses descriptive analysis to configure the supply chain structure and flow. Analysis of supply chain performance based on Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) model then weighted with Analytic Network Process (ANP). Performance improvement strategies were formulated by a discussion with experts and then weighted with ANP. Results: The research results show that the Kayumas specialty coffee supply chain comprises farmers, farmer groups, distributors or resellers, and consumers. There are 6 performance indicators (metrics) to measure performance: perfect order fulfillment, order fulfillment cycle time, flexibility, total supply chain management cost, cost of goods sold, and cash-to-cash cycle time. Performance measurement shows that Kayumas specialty coffee supply chain performance is in the inferior category. Conclusion: The strategy needed to improve supply chain performance by reducing cost is a partnership between supply chain members to reach a price agreement.

Abstract

Milk is a food commodity that Indonesia continues to import in large quantities and continues to increase every year. This happens because demand continues to increase and cannot be matched by domestic production. This study aims to determine the competitiveness of dairy milk in Lekkok District, Pasuruan Regency which is the area with the largest dairy cattle population in East Java through the Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM) method. The analysis shows that the PCR value is -0.54 (<1), meaning that milk cultivated by farmers has a competitive advantage. The value of DRCR is 0.02 (<1) indicating that the milk cultivated by farmers also has a comparative. Overall, the input-output policy implemented by the government has not fully benefited farmers. The results of the sensitivity analysis showed that when the rupiah exchange rate weakened at 10% and 20%, the costs incurred by farmers increased and were directly proportional to the revenues that also increased.

Abstract

This study aimed to mitigate risks in rice supply chain using the Fuzzy- Analytical Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy-AHP)) approach, focusing on Kebonagung Bulog Warehouse, Malang. With rice being a staple food in Indonesia and increasing consumption, effective supply chain management is critical for ensuring food security. The research identified and prioritizedkey risks faced by actors in the rice supply chain, including supply, quality, storage, and environmental risks. Data were collected through purposive and snowball sampling methods, involving rice processing industries, Kebonagung Bulog Warehouse, and traders. Fuzzy-AHP method was employed to prioritize risks, with supply risk being the highest for rice processors and traders, and quality risk for Kebonagung Bulog Warehouses. Supply risk for rice processors and traders was primarily caused by inconsistent raw material availability due to fluctuating harvest yields and supplier unreliability. Quality risk for Kebonagung Bulog Warehouse occured due to improper handling and prolonged storage, leading to deterioration and reduced rice quality. Risk mitigation strategies include formal partnerships, regular evaluations, strict supplier selection, and improved quality management practices. These findings offer a framework for improving risk management in rice supply chains and enhancing food security in Indonesia.
