Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan memberikan bukti korelasi antara kompetensi guru, supervisi kepala sekolah dan budaya sekolah terhadap mutu Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Swasta di Kecamatan Mayong Kabupaten Jepara. Populasi berjumlah 6 sekolah dengan jumlah guru 146 orang dan jumlah sampel 105 orang. Yang ditetapkan dengan Proportionate Random Sampling, pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner. Analisis data dengan analisis deskriptif, uji persyaratan, analisis regresi tunggal dan analisis regresi ganda yang dihitung menggunakan program SPSS 26 for windows. Dari hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa kompetensi guru termasuk kategori kurang baik, supervisi kepala sekolah termasuk kategori cukup baik; budaya sekolah termasuk kategori cukup baik. Hasil uji prasyarat penelitian diperoleh data berdistribusi normal, homogen, linier, dan tidak terjadi heteroskedastisitas. Dari uji hipotesis ditemukan terdapat pengaruh positif kompetensi guru terhadap mutu sekolah yang dinyatakan dengan persamaan Ŷ = 149.704 + 0.206X1; dengan pengaruh sebesar 32,7%. Terdapat pengaruh positif supervisi kepala sekolah terhadap mutu sekolah yang dinyatakan dengan persamaan Ŷ = 107.142 + 0.0471X2; dengan pengaruh sebesar 12,7%; Terdapat pengaruh positif budaya sekolah dinyatakan dengan persamaan Ŷ = 83.966 + 0.265 X3 dengan pengaruh sebesar 67,6%. Terdapat pengaruh positif kompetensi guru, supervisi kepala sekolah dan budaya sekolah terhadap mutu sekolah yang dinyatakan dengan persamaan Y = 0,427 + 0,575X1 + 0,314X2; dengan pengaruh sebesar 71,7%. Mutu sekolah dipengaruhi oleh kompetensi guru, supervisi kepala sekolah dan budaya sekolah aspek kompetensi sosial, tindak lanjut supervisi kepala sekolah dan aspek disiplin masih perlu ditingkatkan. Guru dan kepala sekolah harus melakukan upaya untuk memperbaiki kondisi tersebut.Kata kunci: kompetensi guru, supervisi kepala sekolah, budaya sekolah, mutu sekolah

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of principal supervisory roles in improving educational quality. specifically analyzing the planning, implementation, and follow-up functions of supervision and their impact on educational quality enhancement. The research was conducted at SDN Kebondalem 01, Semarang Regency, which was selected due to its consistent educational quality improvement, evidenced by three consecutive years of BOSP Performance awards and significant score increases in national education reports. A qualitative descriptive case study approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews with three key informants (principal, teacher, and educational staff), non-participant observations, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's model with triangulation techniques to ensure validity. The findings reveal that effective principal supervision operates through three interconnected functions creating sustainable educational quality improvement. The planning function demonstrates systematic data-driven approaches based on education report analysis and differentiated technique selection. The implementation function integrates traditional supervision methods with digital platforms (Performance Management and E-Kinerja), employing complete supervision cycles and collaborative approaches. The follow-up function emphasizes structured reflection and strategic planning ensuring supervision continuity. Measurable impacts show significant improvements: literacy scores increased from 90 to 100, numeracy from 66.67 to 90, character development from 60.54 to 72.67, and school achievements rose from 15 to 40 across various levels over three years Theoretically, this study contributes to educational leadership literature by demonstrating how digital integration enhances traditional supervision practices in elementary school contexts. Practically, the findings provide a replicable supervision model for principals and policymakers to improve educational quality through systematic, collaborative, and technology-enhanced supervision approaches.

Abstract

This study examines school organizational climate and work motivation effects on elementary teachers' professional competence in Jambu Subdistrict, Semarang Regency's 18 rural schools. Previous studies found moderate correlations (Dharmawaty et al., 2022: r = 0.45; Sumantri & Whardani, 2017: R² = 0.28), but simultaneous examination in rural contexts remains limited. Using ex post facto design, 125 teachers were surveyed through proportional random sampling. Instruments measured professional competence (content mastery, student understanding, curriculum application), organizational climate (learning quality, inclusivity, learning culture), and work motivation (internal/external factors) with validated items like "I understand subject scientific structure" and "School promotes innovative strategies." Results showed significant positive effects: organizational climate (r = 0.634, R² = 0.402) and work motivation (r = 0.630, R² = 0.397) individually, with combined influence of 56.2%. These large effect sizes indicate substantial practical significance for real educational settings. Dimensional analysis revealed learning content knowledge (0.333) and learning culture (0.380) had lowest contributions, while internal-external motivation contributed equally (0.634). Findings align with Herzberg's Motivation-Hygiene Theory and Organizational Climate Theory, confirming that both intrinsic satisfaction and environmental factors shape professional performance. The study recommends prioritizing teacher subject mastery through continuous training and strengthening organizational learning culture via structured professional development.

Abstract

Branding bagi lembaga pendidikan bukan sekadar menjual nama dan lokasi lembaga pendidikan, melainkan juga menampilkan suatu identitas agar mudah dikenal dan mudah dibedakan dengan lembaga pendidikan lainnya. Strategi branding lembaga pendidikan menjadi sangat penting bagi lembaga pendidikan utamanya pada lembaga pendidikan swasta. Lembaga pendidikan perlu memberikan tampilan proses pelayanan pendidikan melalui atribut kegiatan belajar mengajar yang unik, mutu pembelajaran, kepuasaan belajar, prestasi peserta didik dan mutu lulusan. Program Sekolah Siaga Kependudukan (SSK) merupakan salah satu program yang dapat membangun citra positif sekolah. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Penulis melibatkan 10 narasumber yang terlibat langsung dalam program Sekolah Siaga Kependudukan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Brand Activatian atau kegiatan branding yang dapat dilakukan sekolah meliputi enam kegiatan, yaitu (1) Publication (2) Event (3) Communicity Involvement (4) Identity Media (5) Lobbying (6) Social-Investment. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran serta manajemen program sekolah siaga kependudukan dapat menciptakan branding dengan keenam brand activation di atas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of industrial work culture and productive teacher internship programs on the quality of education in public vocational high schools (SMK) in Kendal Regency. A quantitative approach, employing a survey method, was used to involve productive teachers from several selected schools through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire. Data analysis employed multiple linear regression and the F-test to assess the significance of the independent variables' impact on educational quality. The results showed that industrial work culture had a significant effect, contributing 37.72% to educational quality, with innovation as the dominant dimension. The productive teacher internship program also had a significant impact, contributing 20.10%, mainly through supervision and industry support dimensions. Simultaneously, both variables accounted for 57.8% of the variation in educational quality, with the remainder influenced by other factors outside the model. These findings underscore the importance of integrating industrial work culture into the learning process and implementing well-structured teacher internship programs that align with industry needs. The results serve as a reference for formulating strategic policies to enhance the relevance of vocational education in meeting labour market demands.

Abstract

Teacher work discipline is fundamental to educational quality, yet many elementary schools face significant challenges in maintaining adequate disciplinary standards. This study investigates the influence of academic supervision, school culture, and teacher personality competence on teacher work discipline in Bogorejo District, Blora Regency. A quantitative ex post facto design was employed with 113 elementary school teachers selected through proportional random sampling from a population of 158 teachers. Data were collected using validated questionnaires and analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression with SPSS version 22. Findings reveal that academic supervision significantly influences teacher work discipline (52.8%), school culture accounts for 44.3% of variance, and teacher personality competence demonstrates the strongest individual effect (59.4%). When combined, these three factors explain 63.5% of variance in teacher work discipline, with teacher personality competence emerging as the most dominant predictor. Results confirm theoretical frameworks linking supervision, organizational culture, and personality competence to professional behavior. The synergistic effect of these factors suggests that comprehensive approaches addressing individual characteristics and organizational contexts are essential for enhancing teacher discipline. Educational administrators should implement systematic supervision, cultivate positive school cultures, and strengthen teachers' personality competence through targeted professional development programs to achieve optimal disciplinary outcomes.

Abstract

International Credit Transfer was held between Universitas PGRI Semarang and Don Mariano Marcos Memorial University (DMMMSU) Philippines. The students of UPGRIS would learn at DMMMSU for a semester. The language and cultural differences became challenges for the students to adapt to the learning situation. This matter brings psychological challenges for the students. Therefore, they had to promote coping strategies to manage their difficulties. This research determined the adaptive coping strategy of credit transfer students. This qualitative approach research provided the real experience and portrayal of a real research site by directly interacting with the research subjects. The researchers involved four students of the Guidance and Counseling program with credit transfer program status for a semester. The researchers collected the data with a structured interview and documentation. The applied analyses included three matters: data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results showed that every participant applied problem-focused coping, plain-problem solving, confrontative strategy, and social support search for instrumental reasons. Universities should provide psychological services to increasing international student’s stress managing skill.

Abstract

Perilaku terlambat merupakan suatu kondisi kurang disiplin tiba di sekolah setelah jam masuk sekolah dimulai. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada peserta didik kelas 11 SMK Negeri 4 Semarang. Penelitian ini digunakan untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat perilaku terlambat ke sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif deskriptif yang memberi gambaran yang lebih detail mengenai suatu gejala atau fenomena dan bertujuan menggambarkan mekanisme sebuah proses serta menghasilkan serangkaian kategori. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala perilaku terlambat ke sekolah. Metode analisis dihitung dengan excel. Hasil penelitian dari 221 peserta didik terdapat 28 (12,67%)  klasifikasi perilaku terlambat tinggi, 180 (81,44%)  klasifikasi perilaku terlambat sedang, dan ada 13  (5,89%) yang termasuk dalam klasifikasi perilaku terlambat rendah.

Abstract

Abstrak. Latar belakang dalam penelitian ini membahas pengaruhnya konsep diri rendah terhadap kriteria pemilihan pasangan yang tinggi pada mahasiswa Universitas PGRI Semarang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah adanya pengaruh konsep diri terhadap kriteria pemilihan pasangan di masa dewasa awal. Jenis penelitian ini ialah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode regresi linier sederhana. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 240 mahasiswa. Sample yang digunakan dari populasi yaitu sebanyak 71 mahasiswa yang dipilih secara acak menggunakan Cluster Random Sampling. Hasilnya, melalui uji t atau t-test dengan bantuan SPSS 25 diperoleh nilai signifikansi (2- tailed) diperoleh 0,033 < 0,05 maka terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara konsep diri dengan pemilihan pasangan. Nilai F hitung 4.746 dengan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,033 < 0,05 dan nilai R Square (koefisien determinan) sebesar 0,064 yang artinya pengaruh konsep diri terhadap pemilihan pasangan memiliki pengaruh sebesar 6,4%. Maka dapat diketahui bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima Jadi, ada pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap konsep diri dengan kriteria pemilihan pasangan.
