Abstract

This research focuses on applying active learning methods to overcome student burnout in Islamic religious education in madrasahs. The main objective of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of project-based Learning, role-playing and simulation, problem-based Learning, and collaborative activities in increasing student motivation, engagement, and skill development. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with students, teachers, and school principals at Madrasah Ibtida'iyah Negeri 3 Banyuwangi and direct observations in the classroom. The research results show that active learning methods significantly reduce student burnout and increase their motivation and involvement in the learning process. Project-based learning helps students relate theory to actual practice, while role-playing and simulations enrich their learning experience. Problem-based learning encourages students to think critically and analytically, while collaborative activities strengthen students' cooperation and social skills. These findings confirm that active learning methods can effectively improve the quality of Islamic religious education in madrasahs. The implication of this research is the need to integrate active learning methods in the madrasa curriculum to create a more dynamic learning environment and support student welfare. This research also underscores the importance of developing more inclusive and evidence-based education policies to comprehensively accommodate students' needs and potential.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of teacher competence in improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Genteng district. This research is based on the importance of teachers' competence in delivering Islamic religious teaching materials effectively and applicatively in daily life, as well as various challenges faced by teachers, including the diversity of students' social and cultural backgrounds, limited resources, and changes in social dynamics. The research method used is a qualitative approach with the type of case study, involving in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the research show that understanding of student needs, the application of active learning approaches, character development and moral values, and continuous professional development are key factors in improving the quality of teaching. It is expected to provide an implementation model that can be adopted by other educational institutions to improve teacher competence and, in turn, the quality of learning, which has a positive impact on students' academic and moral development.

Abstract

Contextualization is a relevant and meaningful word when be combine with other words without having to change the meaning of the word. In this research, contextualization is used to describe the relationship or relevance between the context of stories in novels and texts, namely textbooks for Pendidikan Akidah Akhlak. The Diary Ungu Rumaysha novel’s as a context source became the first data source in this research. The second data source is textbooks on Pendidikan Akidah Akhlak for class X Madrasah Aliyah as a source of comparison text. This library research using content analysis techniques to find a description of the values ​​of aqidah and moral education (akhlak) contained in the novel. This technique is also used to contextualize the novel with the material. The results of this research indicate that the values ​​of aqidah education in the form of basic values ​​of faith are in harmony with the moral aqidah materials in the chapter of faith in Allah, Angels, the book of Allah, Prophets and Apostles, the last day, qodho 'and qodar. While the moral values ​​include helping, being humble, respecting parents and teachers, having harmony with the material about the commendable morals, husnuzzan, tawwaddu', tasamuh, and ta'awun, the chapter on getting used to the commendable morals of endeavor, tawakkal, patience, gratitude, and qana' ah, and the glory chapter is devoted to parents and teachers.

Abstract

Berdasarkan pemahaman agama islam siklus kedewasaan manusia ini dibagi menjadi 2 yaitu sebelum aqil baligh dan sesudah aqil baligh. baligh dapat didefinisikan apabila seseorang dikatakan dewasa jika sudah berada pada usia tertentu serta memiliki perubahan pada tubuh mereka secara biologis. Perubahan tubuh secara biologis pada anak-anak menginjak usia remaja seringkali juga disebut sebagai masa pubertas. Kegiatan edukasi masa puber sangat penting untuk dilaksanakan, mengingat pada zaman sekarang siswa SD kelas tinggi sudah mulai memasuki masa pubertas. Selain itu, penting pula bagi orang tua untuk mendampingi anak dalam arti memberikan perhatian, pengetahuan, dan pengawasan agar anak lebih siap dalam menghadapi perubahan baik fisik dan emosionalnya selama masa pubertas. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan wawasan kepada siswa akan pentingnya mempersiapkan masa pubertas dengan baik, agar siswa siap menghadapi perubahan yang terjadi baik secara fisik, maupun emosional. Pengabdian dilaksanakan dalam bentuk sosialisasi pada siswa kelas VI SDN 1 Genteng yang berjumlah 126 siswa. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dapat memahami materi sosialisasi yang sudah disampaikan, hal tersebut dapat tercermin dari hasil survey dan wawancara yang dilakukan setelah kegiatan pengabdian. Berdasarkan pengamatan juga ditemukan bahwa siswa lebih siap menghadapi masa pubertas, termasuk menghadapi perubahan fisik dan emosionalnya.

Abstract

This research examines the knowledge and use of Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIEd) by students at three Islamic universities in Indonesia, namely Universitas Al-Qolam Malang (UQM), Institut Agama Islam Ibrahimy Banyuwangi, and Institut Agama Islam Al Muslim Aceh. This survey was conducted at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This study used a mixed-methods method with a multi-site case study design. Data were collected online through quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, using three analytical techniques: pattern matching, explanation building, and logic models. The findings of the research indicate that the level of student knowledge about AIEd is still relatively low. The majority of students are not familiar with AIEd and its benefits in the learning process. Students use AIEd for various academic purposes. As a learning assistant, AI is used to access library materials (books, journals, and kitab kuning), text translation, infer PDF content, and plagiarism detection. As a generative AI, students use AI for citation management, paraphrasing texts, creating paper outlines, and even writing part or all of a paper. Students generally have a positive view of AIEd's prospects in the Islamic PT environment. They believe that AIEd can help improve the quality of learning and support the achievement of their learning goals. This research provides an overview of AIEd’s potential to revolutionize the design, processes, and learning assessment systems in Islamic universities. So the recommendation from these findings is the need for socialization, education and training efforts to increase student knowledge about AIEd and how to use it effectively.

Abstract

This research explains a design of character education develompent based on the bookAtomic Habits by James Clear. Character is a fundamental goal of education. Onealternative solution is to utilize recent, scientifically proven, and effective findings inthe field of character education—such as those found in the book Atomic Habits. Thisresearch is a library research study using a qualitative approach. The primary datawere obtained from the book Atomic Habits, while secondary data were sourced frombooks, articles, and other relevant documents. The data were collected throughdocumentation techniques and analyzed using content analysis by comparing,compiling, and sorting data to identify relevant information. The data validity wasensured through increased diligence and source triangulation. The findings of thisresearch show that the a design of character education development based on AtomicHabits by James Clear includes four stages: identifying the character values to bedeveloped, formulating small habits aligned with those values, applying the four lawsof behavior change, and finally, conducting monitoring, evaluation, and adjustment.

Abstract

This community engagement project aims to enhance the character development of elementary school students during puberty, particularly in relation to the Islamic concept of aqil baligh. Many students at SDN 1 Genteng Wetan, Banyuwangi, demonstrated limited understanding of the physiological signs and religious obligations associated with reaching puberty. Misconceptions regarding mandatory ablution (ghusl), menstruation, and the spiritual implications of physical changes were prevalent. Utilizing a participatory and reflective educational approach—through interactive seminars, discussion sessions, and teacher collaboration—this program succeeded in increasing students’ awareness of aqil baligh responsibilities. The activity fostered not only conceptual understanding but also a positive shift in spiritual behavior and self-discipline. Findings show that students developed a deeper sense of responsibility for performing religious practices and hygiene, while also becoming more open in discussing personal changes with adults. The triangular method involving researchers, educators, and students created a safe and dialogic environment for learning. This model is proven effective and offers a contextual framework that integrates biological and religious education, contributing to the development of character-based puberty education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is a compulsory subject at all levels of education in Indonesia, as regulated in PP No. 55 of 2007. In an effort to improve the quality of PAI learning, a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis is used to evaluate the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. This study used a qualitative method with PAI teacher participants at SMP Negeri 1 Blimbingsari. The results showed that the Independent Curriculum gives teachers the freedom to innovate in learning, but is constrained by limited resources and variations in implementation. The SWOT analysis identified opportunities such as strengthening religious values through collaboration with the community, as well as threats in the form of differences in curriculum interpretation. The resulting strategies include improving teacher professionalism, use of technology, and facility support. This study concludes the importance of synergy between teachers, the community, and educational institutions in supporting effective PAI learning that is relevant to the demands of the times.

Abstract

This study focuses on implementing the semester credit system in the curriculum at madrasah and how this system can improve student learning achievement. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the semester credit system in improving learning flexibility, individual skill development, student independence, and technology support. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study involving in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, classroom observation and document analysis. The study results indicate that the semester credit system improves curriculum flexibility, allows for adjustments to teaching materials according to student needs, and supports the development of student skills and independence. Technology support has also proven to be important in facilitating the implementation of this system and improving student learning experiences. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of implementing the semester credit system to improve academic performance and provide practical guidance for developing educational policies that are more responsive to student needs.

Abstract

The discussion of Shi'ah has never been eaten in the days. There is still much debate about minority spin-off groups that have made a significant contribution to the development of the social, political and ekonimi history of Muslims. In some stages of the Shi'ah Dynasty, the Buwaihiyyah period had at least the largest share in the intellectual and cultural revival of Islam. There are several features in this time that can be used as indicators of the cultural and intellectual revival of society, especially the cultural elite, namely individualism, cosmopolitanism and secularism, all of which existed during the Buwaihiyyah Dynasty. Religious life during the Buwaihiyyah period tended to be conducive and peaceful although there were still frictions of interest between Sunnis and Shi'ah. Friction even occurred with sufi groups but the compromise approach that Buwaihiyyah seemed to make the constalation of interest competition less obvious. This condition does not mean that Shi'ah as the Buwaihiyyah dynasty did not develop, precisely the progress of Shi'ah culture and rituals developed very rapidly at this time, the ritual ceremony ghadir Khumm (commemorating the appointment of 'Ali as a prophet' ceremony) and the ceremony 'Ashura (commemorating the martyrdom of Husayn ibn 'Ali). Through the study of the library, this study took data from various references containing the history of Dinasati Buwaihiyyah. Data analysis uses technical content analysis to produce comprehensive data on the picture of the Buwaihiyyah dynasty in the tenth century.
