Abstract

Pada era media berbasis internet saat ini, diperlukan telaah terhadap peran media massa konvensional sebagai sumber informasi politik dan kontribusinya pada partisipasi politik kalangan muda. Studi ini bertujuan melihat pengaruh penggunaan media massa konvensional, yaitu televisi, radio dan suratkabar pada partisipasi politik di kalangan mahasiswa. Sampel sebanyak 400 mahasiswa diperoleh melalui metode survei dengan menggunakan kuisioner. Mahasiswa berasal dari UPNVJ Jakarta jurusan Ilmu Komunikasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan televisi dan surat kabar secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap partisipasi politik mahasiswa. Akan tetapi terdapat hubungan negatif antara penggunaan televisi dan partisipasi politik. Semakin sering mahasiswa menonton televisi terkait informasi politik, terdapat kecenderungan berkurangnya tingkat partisipasi politik. Diperlukan studi selanjutnya untuk dapat lebih menjelaskan temuan tersebut. Selain itu ditemukan rendahnya tingkat partisipasi politik di kalangan mahasiswa

Abstract

Scientific articles have always been a very important topic because they are an important part of science. The community service team seeks to provide scientific article writing training to help guide writing scientific articles for students who are preparing their thesis. Based on the results of observations and discussions on the undeveloped ability to write and publish student scientific articles and have not been socialized and various problems related to student learning activities, it is possible to identify various problems in the field, namely given examples of articles in the library or other campus facilities for reading and student reference. To overcome the problems mentioned above, the implementation of solutions to these problems, the team provided a webinar through Google Meet about writing scientific articles and the publication process for students of STAI Al-Karimiyah, Department of Islamic Education. The team shared information about the writing of scientific articles and the publication process in the planned journal. The result of this community service is that students are expected to be able to write scientific articles according to the journal standards.

Abstract

Television, with a larger audience than other mass media in Indonesia, can improve youth engagement in politics, or at least their curiosity about politics. Previous studies showed inconclusive results concerning the effects of television viewing and political interest. However, the current study assessed the effect of talk shows and variety show viewership on college students’ political interests. A survey was conducted of 400 college students at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ), Jakarta, Indonesia, using a stratified sampling technique and data analysis with multiple linear regression analysis. The results verified that talk shows and variety show viewership directly relate to the political interest in youth. Variety show viewership has a negative relationship, which means that political interest decreases as viewing of variety show increases. Television use, talk show viewership, and political knowledge positively correlate with political interest. The author suggests a sample from a broader geographical area in the future. Furthermore, the conceptualization of variety shows should be examined more.

Abstract

Motivasi dari penelitian ini adalah perhatian penulis terhadap insan berkemampuan khusus khususnya anak autis. Anak berkemampuan khusus sangat berbeda dengan anak normal pada umumnya. Insan Berkemampuan Khusus secara resmi diluncurkan pada 3 Desember 2019, dengan slogan "Kami peduli, mereka mandiri". Banyak anak autis mengalami kesulitan berinteraksi dan berkomunikasi dengan orang lain. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk dapat mendeskripsikan secara utuh makna dari pengalaman hidup berbagai orang yang pernah mengalami suatu fenomena tertentu. Dalam hal ini, inilah pengalaman guru manusia dengan kemampuan khusus dalam pekerjaan sehari-hari mereka di Cabang Rumah Autis Depok. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan metode analisis fenomenologis eksplanatori. Fenomenologi sebagai metode penelitian disebut deskriptif, eksplanatori, tetapi juga sangat menarik, karena berusaha memperoleh esensi dari pengalaman pribadi atau seseorang. Menurut hasil penelitian dan temuan di lapangan, arti penting guru bagi anak autis sangat penting dan sulit untuk digantikan, karena jika ada orang baru, biasanya anak autis, mereka membutuhkan waktu yang lama untuk menyesuaikan diri. . Komunikasi anak autis terbagi menjadi dua jenis, ekspresif dan reseptif. Ekspresi adalah komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal. Sedangkan reseptif yaitu lebih pengertian/pemahaman. Dalam artian disini yaitu apa yang kita instruksikan atau perintahkan anak tersebut mengerti dan memahaminya dengan cukup baik.

Abstract

Dalam menghadapi berbagai situasi lingkungan sosial yang ditemui, seseorang perlu belajar untuk mengambil keputusan yang tepat. Anak-anak yang memiliki bekal keterampilan sosial yang baik akan menjalankan hidupnya dengan lebih efektif, karena mereka dapat menentukan sikap untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungan. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk memberikan pendampingan guru dalam pengajaran keterampilan sosial bagi anak-anak, sehingga anak-anak memiliki bekal yang cukup terkait keterampilan sosial. Dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus di TPQ Al Ikhlas, Depok, serta dilengkapi dengan teknik observasi dan wawancara, diperoleh hasil yang menunjukkan meningkatnya tingkat keterampilan sosial yang diterapkan pada ana-anak. Pembelajaran keterampilan sosial dilakukan melalui pemberian tugas di luar pembelajaran, bertukar pendapat (bercerita), dan juga melalui tugas pembelajaran; menunjukkan adanya peningkatan disiplin, rasa percaya diri, dan tanggung jawab pada anak. Pembelajaran keterampilan sosial yang dilakukan sejak dini akan menumbuhkan kepemilikan sikap dan perilaku yang positif pada anak.

Abstract

The entry of the Korean Wave to Indonesia certainly attracted the Indonesian people to become KPOP fans, and this was used by PT Wings Food to attract the interest of KPOP fans to attract their buying interest by making Choi Siwon a representative icon of their product, namely Mie Sedaap, the Korean Spicy Chicken variant. This research was conducted to find out whether the brand awareness of the Mie Sedaap product, the Korean Spicy Chicken variant, is able to mediate Choi Siwon's credibility in increasing the buying interest of KPOP fans. The theory used is the Source Credibility Theory. This research was conducted using a random sampling technique which was distributed to 100 people and calculated using a Likert scale with multiple linear regression analysis. The result obtained is that brand awareness of the Mie Sedaap product, the Korean Spicy Chicken variant, is able to mediate the relationship between Choi Siwon's credibility and also the buying interest of KPOP fans.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced many people to stay at home. People in Indonesia are encouraged to work from home (WFH) from 2020 until 2022. The WFH has significantly impacted the economy, especially among field workers. The MA cannot promote its product and services during this time. Therefore, the sales are decreasing. This study describes how the MA uses WhatsApp to socialise their product and services to seek potential customers amid the pandemic. This research involved descriptive qualitative methods, with five MAs as respondents. This study showed that the MAs maximised WhatsApp in socialising funeral products to customers during the pandemic. MAs used WhatsApp features such as "Profile Picture" and "Status" to attract people by keeping their contact numbers. The funeral product details were later socialised in texts, photos, and videos funeral prices will never be mentioned by the MA unless potential customers are asking about it.

Abstract

Waste management is a social problem that needs to be addressed to foster a positive attitude toward the need to develop waste management. Campaigns through social media need to be evaluated for their benefits. Only a few studies have evaluated the impact of exposure and presentation of information conveyed via social media. This study aims to see the effect of exposure and presentation of information from @waste4change delivered through Instagram on user attitudes. The population is social media users, and a sample of 100 users is taken. The research used a survey with purposive sampling techniques, and the questionnaires were distributed through social media. The results show that exposure and information presentation significantly influence user attitudes. In addition, the presentation of information in this study showed the role of valence and weight of information. The findings confirm the role of Instagram platform content in providing education.

Abstract

Mental health among young people needs attention; even more these days, the search for information related to mental health has risen sharply on social media. This study aims to evaluate the role of motives for media use and the use of Instagram @iamokay.id to fulfill the need for mental health information. The study used a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who were Instagram social media followers @iamokay.id. The theory underlying the research is the Theory of Uses and Gratification. This study uses a research model that places media use as a mediating variable of the relationship between motives and fulfilling information needs. In contrast, the previous literature placed media use as the independent variable. The findings show the direct influence of the motives for media use and the use of Instagram @iamokay.id on fulfilling the need for health information. In addition, using Instagram @iamokay.id mediates the relationship between the motives for media use and the fulfillment of mental health information needs. Instagram can be an alternative source of information for the general public to eliminate mental health among young people.

Abstract

Aktivitas remaja dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital sudah menjadi bagian dari aktivitas mereka sehari-hari. Penggunaan media menumbuhkan keterlibatan seseorang dalam memberikan tulisan pendek melalui komentar, percakapan, atau diskusi. Menulis di blog merupakan kegiatan menulis yang memanfaatkan media digital (internet). Kegiatan pendampingan menulis di blog bertujuan untuk meningkatkan budaya menulis di kalangan pelajar remaja. Kegiatan menulis memberi banyak manfaat lainnya, seperti mengungkapkan ide, menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri, dan meningkatkan motivasi membaca. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan penyampaian materi tentang menghasilkan ide, pengetahuan tentang tahapan membuat blog, dan praktik membuat blog. Pesertanya adalah siswa SMP Bina Mulia, Sawangan, Depok. Target kegiatan telah tercapai: setiap peserta mahasiswa mempunyai blog; ada yang sudah berhasil memposting tulisannya, dan ada pula yang masih dalam bentuk draft di blog. Menulis di blog merupakan kegiatan positif yang perlu dikembangkan oleh siswa. Sekolah hendaknya mengembangkan budaya menulis di kalangan siswanya, baik yang diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran maupun kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Manfaat lain yang dapat diperoleh dari budaya menulis adalah pengelolaan emosi dan meningkatkan rasa percaya diri dalam berbicara di depan publik.
