Abstract

Currently, we are entering an era where high technology and the ability to communicate swiftly are required, such as lobbying and negotiation. Consequently, everyone involved in business must be able to negotiate and lobby at all times. In these conditions, the ability to negotiate and lobby will greatly affect one's career, because the skill to bargain and lobby can benefit both the corporation and the negotiator. Pusat Pelatihan Kerja Daerah Jakarta Selatan (PPKD Jaksel) is a Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) under the DKI Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Office is in charge of conducting various pieces of training to provide workers with knowledge and skills in the fields of industry, commerce, and various vocations using workshops. PPKD Jaksel captured the importance of lobbying and negotiation in everyday life as well as for business for the trainees. This community service was conducted for 3 (three) days on July 5-7, 2023, at PPKD Jaksel, which is located at Jalan Buncit Raya No. 440, Kalibata, Pancoran, Jakarta Selatan 12740. This activity involves 20 trainees from 1st Batch 2023, Graphic Design Training Class. The ability to communicate remains a key factor in creating relationships because it allows one side to interact with another. Communication is separated into three aspects (3V): visual, verbal, and vocal, with visual receiving the most attention, encompassing the entirety of a person's appearance, including gestures, which dominate the perception of the communication.

Abstract

The recovery of the tourism sector in Indonesia, especially Labuan Bajo, can be overcome by utilizing technological developments and social media such as TikTok. Tassy is one of the traveling content creators who often shares traveling content on TikTok. This study aims to determine how much influence electronic word of mouth (variable X1 ) Labuan Bajo content and celebrity endorsers (variable X2 ) on the TikTok @tassy.sy account on visiting interest (variable Y) Generation Z. The theory used in this research is Source Credibility Theory. The research method used is explanatory quantitative. The sample technique uses Purposive Sampling by distributing questionnaires through TikTok. The research population is followers of the TikTok account @tassy.sy and obtained a sample size of 100 results from the Taro Yamane formula. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that E-WOM and celebrity endorsers each have a positive and significant effect on visiting interest, with the magnitude of the influence of celebrity endorsers (0.827) greater than E-WOM (0.729). Meanwhile, the interaction between E-WOM and celebrity endorsers has a negative effect on interest in visiting, meaning that the knowledge gained through celebrity endorser accounts on TikTok elaborated with E-WOM related to Labuan Bajo does not increase interest in visiting. The coefficient of determination shows that the contribution of E-WOM on Labuan Bajo content and celebrity endorsers on the @tassy.sy TikTok account to visiting interest is 92.3%.

Abstract

This research examines the representation of scenes in the movie Ivanna (2022) using the shadow technique through a qualitative approach and Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic theory. Ivanna is a horror film that tells the story of the spirit of Ivanna, a Dutch woman who was beheaded by Japanese soldiers during their colonization of Indonesia. The depiction of the sadism of the massacre that befell Ivanna, combined with the time-setting connectivity through the shadow technique, makes the study of how this technique produces a smooth transition between two realities with different time settings a unique and interesting subject. This study, which employs the shadow technique, complements film representation studies, an area that has not been extensively explored. Peirce's semiotics involve categories in the meaning process, commonly referred to as the meaning triangle, which includes the sign, the sign reference, and the sign use. The results show that cinematography effectively presents a visual representation of the narrative, particularly in the horror genre, where light plays a key role in creating tension. In conclusion, Ivanna successfully combines both elements to convey messages and enhance the audience's experience.

@taulebih is presented as a digital Islamic-based sex education platform to educate the public about the importance of sex education. @taulebih has various social media channels like LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. This research aims to find out how Instagram social media can be used to share educational information related to sexuality from an Islamic perspective by referring to Shannon and Weaver's Information Theory. This research was conducted using qualitative research methods and a case study approach, where data was collected through interview techniques. Research informants were selected using purposive sampling techniques. The research results show that the use of social media Instagram @taulebih through uploaded content containing Islamic-based sexuality education indicates positive changes in the knowledge and behavior of followers of Instagram.

Abstract

Sekolah merupakan tempat penting untuk membentuk karakter dan disiplin siswa, selain pengembangan aspek kognitif; sementara itu ditemukan kurangnya disiplin dan karakter yang perlu diperkuat di kalangan siswa MI. Pembiasaan sholat dhuha dinyatakan dapat membentuk karakter disiplin siswa, selain menumbuhkan aspek spiritual. Bimbingan pembiasaan sholat Dhuha bagi siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Khoirul Huda Depok, khususnya kelas tiga, dilakukan pada Oktober 2024. Penggunaan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR)   digunakan dalam kegiatan pelaksanakan salat dhuha bersama, sholat dhuha dilakukan pada saat siswa istirahat pertama, dan dibentuk kelompok kecil pada masing-masing kelas untuk pelaksanaan yang lebih efektif. Dengan kegiatan yang bertujuan meningkatkan disiplin dan pemebentukan karakter melalui kebiasaan sholat Dhuha di kalangan siswa MI, hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa menunjukkan performan yang positif. Sebanyak 87% siswa yang terlibat dalam program ini melaporkan bahwa mereka merasa lebih disiplin dalam menjalani aktivitas sehari-hari, baik di sekolah maupun di rumah. Selain itu, 74% siswa juga merasakan peningkatan dalam konsentrasi belajar setelah melaksanakan sholat Dhuha secara rutin. Kebiasaan sholat Dhuha pada siswa MI perlu dipelihara dan ditingkatkan untuk mempersiapkan generasi muda yang berkarakter dan memiliki nilai-nilai spiritual. Diharapkan para siswa dapat memberikan manfaat bagi sekolah ataupun keluarga.

Abstract

ound: Public speaking encompasses addressing a large crowd and articulating a message with clarity, persuasiveness, and the ability to sway the audience. Public speaking enables individuals to conquer phobias, enhance communication skills, and cultivate self-confidence. Method: This Community Service employs the working premise of the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, with 20 participants from the first batch of Graphic Design class in 2023 from PPKD West Jakarta. Results: PKM must consistently consider three dimensions simultaneously: the satisfaction of practical demands and issue resolution, the advancement of knowledge and community diversity, and the dynamics of social diversity transformation. The purpose of evaluation in this activity is to ensure it is guided effectively and meets the anticipated objectives of all stakeholders. The initial session focused on the Fundamentals of Public Speaking, while the subsequent session concentrated on Enhancing Character Through Activities that Develop Public Speaking Skills, accompanied by examples. The subsequent session involved a brief review of the material presented to assess any changes in participants' abilities, particularly in public speaking skills. An evaluation of 20 participants indicated a notable enhancement in their public speaking proficiency and self-confidence. Conclusion: Public speaking enhances self-confidence, critical thinking abilities, empathy, and social skills in individuals. Consequently, this skill is valuable not only in academic or professional settings but also in daily life.

Abstract

As a writer (blogger) would be exist with as a member of a virtual community, because it will add who can access his writings. The purpose of this paper is, to know the role of virtual community in the existence of bloggers and how it can improve the productivity of writings. This study used emak2blogger.com website as study material. The method used is descriptive qualitative with interview informans to describe the virtual community Kumpulan Emak Blogger (KEB) and also content analysis. The results showed that there is better existence as a blogger for KEB members, since the blogger has a place that is able to express their creativity. By joining the KEB knowledge and ability of writing in a blog be increased, and also the increased blog traffic. Group communication contained in community KEB, in addition, interpersonal communication was used by members of KEB to communicate intensively.

Abstract

This study analyzes the Pandawara Group’s social movement via sosial media from an ecomedia and political ecology perspective. The focus is on examining how this movement emerged and operates within the landscape of power, economy, and media, as well as how the group utilizes social media to communicate environmental issues and mobilize public participation. This qualitative research employs ecomedia theory, specifically the political ecology perspective as explained by Lopez (2024), which encompasses aspects of creation, function, audience, media ecosystem, and funding sources. Data was collected through literature studies, observation, and documentation of the Pandawara Group's digital assets. The findings show that the Pandawara Group is an ecomedia social movement that was created organically in response to environmental pollution. Its goal is to raise awareness, and it has successfully mobilized public participation through social media. The movement operates within the dynamics of political ecology by interacting with various actors and utilizing diverse funding sources, including sponsorships. In conclusion, the Pandawara Group demonstrates how a social movement can leverage ecomedia and operate within the dynamics of political ecology to address environmental issues.

Abstract

Previous research has shown that political influencers affect internal political efficacy. The widespread exposure of Generation Z to political influencers on social media raises the question of whether this exposure enhances political knowledge, comprehension, and skills. The study examines the linear impact of political influencers on internal political efficacy by categorizing exposure as low, medium, or high. A survey was distributed through social media platforms. The study population consisted of Generation Z social media users, selected through purposive sampling (N = 488). Eligibility criteria included being between the ages of 17 and 26, holding Indonesian citizenship, and following at least one political influencer on social media. Data were analyzed using linear regression with SPSS version 25. The findings indicate that the influence of political influencers varies according to the level of their following. Influencers significantly affected internal political efficacy only among participants who followed them moderately. This effect was seen only among individuals with low or average political interest. For those with a high interest in politics, the influence of political influencers was minimal, likely because these individuals seek information from other sources. These results contribute to understanding the non-linear relationship between political influencer exposure and internal political efficacy.Keywords: Generation Z, internal political efficacy, political influencers, political interest ABSTRAKStudi terdahulu telah menunjukkan adanya pengaruh dari political influencer terhadap internal political efficacy. Dengan begitu banyak terpaan political influencer yang dapat diterima Generasi Z melalui media sosial, memunculkan pertanyan apakah semua terpaan tersebut berfungsi optimal  dapat menambah pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan skill  di bidang politik dari Gen Z. Studi ini  bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak linier dari political influencer terhadap internal political efficacy, dengan membaginya pada tiga kelompok tingkatan following (rendah, sedang, tinggi). Penelitian menggunakan metode survei yang dilakukan dengan mendistribusikan kuesioner melalui jejaring media sosial.  Populasi merupakan  Generasi Z pengguna media sosial, dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling (N=488). Kriteria sampel adalah mereka dengan usia 17-26 tahun (Gen Z), warga negara Indonesia, dan mem follow minimum satu political influencer di media sosial. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier dengan  aplikasi SPSS 25. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh influencer politik memiliki perbedaan pada tingkat following yang berbeda. Hanya pada kelompok following moderat, influencer memberikan dampak pada internal political efficacy Gen Z. Selain itu, pengaruh influencer hanya berlaku jika individu memiliki ketertarikan politik yang rendah atau rata-rata. Ketika individu memiliki ketertarikan politik yang tinggi maka pengaruh influencer cenderung berkurang, hal ini dimungkinkan karena mereka dengan ketertarikan politik yang tinggi cenderung akan mencari informasi dari sumber alternatif lainnya. Temuan ini memberikan sumbangan konseptual terkait adanya hubungan non linier dari pengaruh political influencer terhadap internal political efficacy. Kata Kunci: Generasi Z, efikasi politik internal, influencer politik, minat politik
