Abstract

Anti-corruption education is one of the important aspects in character building of the young generation, especially at the elementary school level. Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) learning has a strategic role in instilling the values ​​of honesty, responsibility, and integrity from an early age. This literature study aims to analyze the role of PPKn learning in building an anti-corruption culture in elementary schools. The method used is a literature review of various previous studies that discuss strategies, effectiveness, and challenges in implementing anti-corruption education in the PPKn curriculum. The results of the study show that a value-based learning approach, contextual methods, and active involvement of students in discussions and simulations of real cases can increase awareness and attitudes of anti-corruption in children. In addition, the role of teachers as facilitators and role models in implementing these values ​​also greatly determines the success of this program. The conclusion of this study confirms that the integration of anti-corruption education in PPKn needs to be strengthened with an innovative approach and support from various parties in order to form the character of students with integrity from an early age.

Abstract

Montessori based learning has been widely applied in early childhood education as an approach that emphasizes independence, exploration, and social interaction. This study aims to analyze the impact of the Montessori method on the cognitive and social development of early childhood based on a literature review of various previous studies. The results of the study indicate that the Montessori approach has a positive influence on cognitive development, especially in the aspects of logical thinking, problem solving, and learning independence. In addition, in the social aspect, this method improves cooperation, communication, and emotional regulation skills in children. The implications of this study indicate that the application of the Montessori method in PAUD can be an effective strategy in improving children's holistic development.

Abstract

21st century education requires students to have higher order thinking skills (HOTS) in order to compete in the era of globalization. However, the implementation of HOTS in Elementary Schools (SD) still faces various challenges, especially in the use of appropriate learning methods. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to socialize the HOTS concept and its application in project-based learning to elementary school teachers. The methods used in this PKM include training, mentoring, and direct practice in compiling and implementing HOTS-based project-based learning. The results of the activity showed an increase in teachers' understanding of HOTS and its implementation in learning. In addition, students were also more active and creative in the learning process. This activity is expected to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools and support the development of 21st century skills for students.

Abstract

Early childhood social skills are an important foundation for children's success in socializing, learning, and building relationships in the future. In underdeveloped areas such as Mata Usu District, Bombana Regency, children experience limitations in developing social skills due to low access to quality education, lack of PAUD teacher training, and minimal parental participation. This community service aims to implement a restorative program as an educational approach to improving early childhood social skills. The implementation method includes identifying problems, training teachers and parents on the restorative approach, implementing role-playing and children's dialogue activities, and evaluating the results. The activity was carried out in one of the underdeveloped villages in Mata Usu District for two months. The results of the service showed a significant increase in children's social skills such as empathy, communication, and peaceful conflict resolution. Teachers and parents also showed increased understanding and involvement in guiding children with a restorative approach. This program shows that an empathy and communication-based approach is effective in areas with limited resources. Policy support and further training are needed so that this approach can be implemented sustainably in all PAUDs in Mata Usu District.

Abstract

Literacy skills are a fundamental foundation in primary education, encompassing not only reading and writing abilities but also critical and creative thinking skills. However, field observations show that many elementary school students still have low literacy levels, particularly in understanding texts and expressing ideas both in writing and speaking. This community service activity aimed to strengthen Indonesian language literacy in elementary schools through innovative learning strategies that encourage critical and creative thinking. The target of this program was elementary school teachers across Baruga Subdistrict, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The implementation methods included training sessions, mentoring, and evaluations of teaching strategies based on narrative, explanatory, and descriptive texts, combined with critical reading and creative writing techniques. The results of the program showed a significant increase in teachers’ understanding of comprehensive literacy concepts and their ability to design and apply learning models based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). In addition, teachers were able to develop project-based learning activities and visual literacy strategies that enabled students to think logically, reflectively, and creatively. This program is expected to contribute significantly to improving the quality of Indonesian language learning at the elementary school level and to serve as a replicable model for other schools seeking to strengthen 21st-century literacy skills.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has presented new opportunities in education, including in strengthening civic values ​​in elementary schools. One relevant approach is social-emotional learning (SEL), which focuses on developing empathy, responsibility, and social awareness. The integration of Augmented Reality (AR) technology into this learning model is believed to increase student emotional and cognitive engagement through immersive and contextual learning experiences. This article is a literature review that aims to examine the synergistic role of social-emotional learning and AR technology in strengthening civic values ​​in elementary school students. Analysis was conducted on various national and international studies that highlight the effectiveness of AR in stimulating social interaction, value reflection, and active student participation in character-based learning. The study results indicate that the integration of AR and SEL can enrich the PPKn learning experience through visualization of social situations, empathy simulations, and collaborative activities that instill national values. In addition, AR technology also increases motivation and a sense of ownership of moral and social values. Thus, the synergy between social-emotional learning and AR has the potential to become a strategic innovation in civics (PPKn) education, helping to shape a young generation with character, empathy, and a strong sense of national awareness.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA berbasis lingkungan adalah pendekatan inovatif yang mengintegrasikan pengetahuan ilmiah dengan pemahaman dan apresiasi terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkaya pemahaman siswa tentang konsep-konsep IPA melalui pengalaman langsung dalam konteks lingkungan nyata. Dengan demikian, siswa tidak hanya belajar tentang teori dan prinsip ilmiah, tetapi juga bagaimana mereka berlaku dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan bagaimana mereka dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi tantangan lingkungan. Eksplorasi lingkungan sebagai media pembelajaran memungkinkan siswa untuk mengamati, menanyakan, dan mengeksplorasi fenomena alam secara langsung. Ini membantu mereka mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, dan pengambilan keputusan, yang semuanya penting dalam belajar IPA. Selain itu, pendekatan ini juga membantu siswa memahami pentingnya pelestarian lingkungan dan peran mereka sebagai warga dunia dalam melindungi planet kita. Secara keseluruhan, pembelajaran IPA berbasis lingkungan menawarkan cara yang menarik dan relevan untuk mengajarkan IPA, dengan manfaat yang melampaui kelas dan membantu siswa menjadi pembelajar seumur hidup dan penjaga lingkungan yang bertanggung jawab.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat (PPM) ini berupa Pelatihan Pembuatan Soal Hots Pada Materi Ipa Di Sekolah Dasar yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan pengalaman kepada guru tentang: 1) prinsip-prinsip penilaian pada kurikulum 2013, 2) penyusunan kisi-kisi soal HOTS IPA, 3) penyusunan butir soal dan rubrik penilaian, dan 4). Praktik analisis butir soal. Kegiatan PPM ini dilaksanakan dengan metode pelatihan yang terdiri atas pelatihan terkait prinsip penilaian, penyusunan kisi-kisi soal, Pelatihan Pembuatan Soal Hots Pada Materi Ipa Di Sekolah Dasar dan praktik analisis. Khalayak sasaran dalam kegiatan ini adalah guru Sekolah Dasar (SD) di Kabupaten Konawe Selatan yang berjumlah 10 orang. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini yakni: 1) guru mampu memahami prinsip-prinsip penilaian, 2) guru mampu menyusun kisi-kisi soal, 3) guru mampu menyusun soal HOTS IPA beserta rubrik penilaiannya dan 4). Guru dapat menggunakan aplikasi dalam menelaah butir soal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kecakapan literasi digital dan kompetensi profesional guru SD Negeri 10 Laeya dalam menggunakan aplikasi Canva untuk pembelajaran matematika dan sains. Masalah utama yang dihadapi adalah minimnya pemanfaatan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran, yang berdampak pada kurangnya kreativitas dan inovasi dalam mengajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah workshop yang melibatkan pelatihan dan pendampingan secara bertahap kepada guru-guru SD Negeri 10 Laeya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran berbasis Canva, serta meningkatkan kepercayaan diri mereka dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Keberhasilan ini diindikasikan oleh meningkatnya partisipasi aktif guru dalam menciptakan media pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif dan inovatif. Rekomendasi untuk pelaksanaan kegiatan serupa di masa depan mencakup variasi tema pelatihan dan peningkatan jumlah peserta, termasuk guru dari jenjang pendidikan lainnya seperti SMP dan SMA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran (Role Playing dan Ceramah Bervariasi) dan gaya kognitif (Field Independent dan Field Dependent) terhadap sikap sosial siswa. Penelitian dilakukan melalui metode eksperimen yang melibatkan 22 siswa kelas V SDN 219 Ara sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 22 siswa kelas V SDN 161 Ara sebagai kelas kontrol. Penerapan gaya kognitif dilakukan melalui tes Goodenough-Harris Drawing Test dan sikap sosial diukur melalui skala penilaian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) sikap sosial siswa yang diberi metode pembelajaran role playing lebih tinggi dari kelompok siswa yang diberi metode pembelajaran ceramah bervariasi, (2) sikap sosial siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field independent lebih tinggi dari siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field dependent, (3) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan gaya kognitif terhadap sikap sosial siswa, (4) sikap sosial siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field independent yang diberi perlakuan metode pembelajaran role playing lebih tinggi dari sikap sosial siswa yang diberi perlakuan metode pembelajaran ceramah bervariasi, (5) sikap sosial siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field dependent yang diberi perlakuan metode pembelajaran role playing lebih rendah dari sikap sosial siswa yang diberi perlakuan metode pembelajaran ceramah bervariasi, (6) sikap sosial siswa yang diberi perlakuan metode pembelajaran role playing pada kelompok siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field independent lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan sikap sosial siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field dependent, dan (7) sikap sosial siswa yang diberi perlakuan metode pembelajaran ceramah bervariasi pada kelompok siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field independent lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan sikap sosial siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field dependent. Implikasi praktis dari temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa guru perlu mempertimbangkan kesesuaian antara metode pembelajaran dan gaya kognitif siswa untuk meningkatkan sikap sosial mereka. Metode role playing sangat dianjurkan bagi siswa dengan gaya kognitif field independent, sementara ceramah bervariasi lebih cocok diterapkan pada siswa field dependent. Oleh karena itu, identifikasi gaya kognitif siswa sejak awal sangat penting untuk menentukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang efektif di kelas.
