Abstract

A steam turbine is an energy conversion machine whose converted energy is used by other machines to generate power. This study aims to analyze the reliability of turbine engines using the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) method and the 4 Disciplines of Execution (4DX). In this study, TPM was used to identify various major causes of production time loss, such as breakdowns, setup time, and loading time. Meanwhile, 4DX focuses on achieving key objectives through consistent and measurable actions, namely zero breakdowns and zero stagnation. The results of this study indicate that the Availability value is 98.69%, the Performance value is 98.14%, the Quality value is 99.74%, and the OEE value is 96.61%, which means that the turbine is in a reliable condition. In addition, 4DX plays a role in accelerating the achievement of improvement targets by providing a more focused approach, monitoring daily activities, and enhancing accountability. The research results indicate that the combination of these two methods is effective in improving turbine reliability, extending equipment lifespan, and fostering employee discipline. Abstract

The digital era presents significant challenges in managerial and leadership practices, where leaders are not only required to possess technical skills but also the ability to think critically and ethically. Digital transformation impacts decision-making within organizations, with technologies like artificial intelligence and big data often raising moral dilemmas. Therefore, critical thinking and ethical leadership become essential foundations for guiding decisions that consider social and moral implications. Critical thinking in management encompasses not only data analysis and strategy effectiveness but also the ability to evaluate the moral consequences of each decision. Meanwhile, ethical leadership focuses on moral responsibility, transparency, and social justice. This study aims to develop a conceptual model linking critical thinking and ethical leadership through a qualitative-descriptive approach with a conceptual literature study. It is expected that this research will contribute to value-based leadership theory and provide guidance for leaders in the digital era to apply ethical principles in management. Through the "Critical-Ethical Leadership Framework (CELF)" model, this research offers insights into how leadership can better focus on human values while helping organizations adapt to technology in an ethical manner.

Abstract

Madu merupakan produk alami yang dihasilkan oleh lebah dari nektar bunga yang memiliki rasa manis dan mengandung berbagai zat aktif yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan. Namun, saat ini banyak ditemukan madu yang ditambahkan bahan tambahan pangan berupa pemanis buatan seperti natrium siklamat untuk meningkatkan rasa manis dan menekan biaya produksi. Penggunaan natrium siklamat yang berlebihan dapat membahayakan kesehatan karena produk metabolismenya, sikloheksamin yang bersifat karsinogenik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar natrium siklamat pada madu bermerk dan tidak bermerk di Desa Buluhala Kota Dumai serta membandingkannya dengan batas maksimum yang diperbolehkan berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia Nomor 722/Menkes/Per/IX/1988 yaitu 350 mg/kg. Untuk itu, perlu di lakukan uji kadar natrium siklamat yang terdapat dalam madu bermerk dan tidak bermerk dilakukan secara spektrofotometri UV-Vis, sebelum dilakukan penetapan kadar diawali dengan uji identifikasi menggunakan beberapa pereaksi untuk memastikan ada nya kandungan siklamat di dalam sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh sampel madu bermerk dan tidak bermerk mengandung natrium siklamat. Kadar natrium siklamat pada madu tidak bermerk yaitu 304,71 ± 2,71 mg/kg, 333,80 ± 1,97 mg/kg, dan 337,53 ± 2,21 mg/kg sedangkan pada madu bermerk nilainya lebih rendah dan masih di bawah batas maksimum, dapat disimpulkan bahwa madu tidak bermerk mengandung natrium siklamat dengan kadar yang mendekati batas maksimum yang diizinkan, sedangkan madu bermerk masih berada pada kadar aman. Diperlukan pengawasan lebih lanjut terhadap produk madu yang dijual bebas di pasaran agar sesuai dengan ketentuan keamanan pangan.

Abstract

This study aims to develop mathematics learning media using Adobe Flash that are practical and effective in improving students’ mathematical reasoning abilities on trigonometry material. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE instructional design model, which consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of this study were eleventh-grade students of MAN 2 Model Medan. The research instruments included teacher and student response questionnaires to measure the practicality of the learning media, as well as tests of students’ mathematical reasoning abilities to determine its effectiveness. The results showed that the practicality of the Adobe Flash-based learning media, based on teacher and student responses after implementation, obtained an average score of 91%, which falls into the “very practical” category. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the media was indicated by the improvement in students’ mathematical reasoning test results, with an achievement percentage of 71%. A t-test analysis demonstrated that the calculated t-value (t_count = 12.96) was greater than the t-table value (t_table = 2.14), indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. These findings suggest that the Adobe Flash-based mathematics learning media are practical and effective for enhancing students’ mathematical reasoning abilities.
