Abstract

This research on the correlation of Emotional Quotient (EQ) to Student Learning Motivation aims to measure the relationship or relationship between emotional intelligence and learning motivation. This research uses a quantitative approach with a type of correlation research. While data collection uses questionnaire distribution (non-test) with simple random sampling technique. While data analysis uses the product moment correlation model to determine the relationship between the two independent variables to the dependent variable. The results of this study indicate that a correlation value of 0.476 was found which indicates that the two variables or emotional quotient variables with learning motivation have a moderate correlation category. Found a significant value of .000, where the significant value < .01 which means there is a significant relationship between emotional quotient and learning motivation of Islamic Education Study Programme Students, UIN Raden Intan Lampung.

Abstract

Research related to the relationship between metacognitive awareness and academic achievement aims to examine the relationship and understand more about the role of metacognitive awareness in achieving optimal academic achievement for Islamic Religious Education students. This research uses a quantitative approach and type of correlation research. The data collection technique used the distribution of the Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI) questionnaire adapted from Schraw and Dennison (1994). The research sample consisted of 96 students selected by simple random sampling technique. Data analysis used a correlation test to see whether or not there was a relationship between metacognitive awareness and academic achievement. The test was strengthened by simple linear regression test. The results showed that a correlation of 0.663 was found, which showed that the two variables had a strong correlation. And a significance value of .000 was found, which if the sig. < .01 means there is a significant relationship between the two variables. In the simple linear regression test, it produces a value of F hitung = 73.610 with a significance level of 0.000, which if the sig.<0.05 means that there is a significant influence between metacognitive awareness and the GPA of Islamic Religious Education students.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektivitas model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Fikih di MTs Negeri 1 Pringsewu kelas VIII. Model pembelajaran TPS digunakan sebagai salah satu strategi pembelajaran kolaboratif yang bertujuan mempromosikan partisipasi peserta didik yang aktif melalui diskusi pasangan dan pertukaran tampilan kelompok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan mengukur desain penelitian kelompok kontrol eksperimental dan tidak setara nyata. Saat memilih sampel, metode probabilitas tipe uji sampel cluster digunakan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengamatan, wawancara, pengujian dan dokumentasi. Tes statistik digunakan untuk menganalisis data yang dikumpulkan setelah tes dari hasil belajar peserta didik. Analisis ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji-t sampel independen. Peralatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes yang terdiri dari pertanyaan pilihan ganda. Data yang diperoleh dari instrumen kemudian dianalisis secara statistik untuk membandingkan hasil anti-test dan pasca-tes antara kedua kelas. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa uji sampel-T independen menghasilkan nilai signifikan (GIS) 0.000 & LT. 0,05, H0 ditolak dan kita dapat menarik kesimpulan bahwa Ha diterima. Dengan kata lain, ada perbedaan antara hasil pembelajaran kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimental. Tes N-Gain dari hasil pembelajaran eksperimental untuk 81.2957 atau 81% kelas dimasukkan dalam kategori yang valid dengan peringkat N-gain minimum 62,50 dan maksimum 100,00. Kita kemudian dapat menarik kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif dari Think Pair Share efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran siswa dengan mata pelajaran Fikih MTS Negeri 1 Pringsewu.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of teachers' social competence on students' learning difficulties in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Al Hidayah, Tunggul Pawenang, Pringsewu. The research utilizes a quantitative correlational approach, focusing on the relationship between teachers' social competence and the learning challenges faced by students. A survey was conducted with 70 students from class VIII using validated and reliable questionnaires. The results indicate a significant correlation between teachers' ability to communicate effectively, show empathy, and create a supportive learning environment, and the reduction of students' learning difficulties. Specifically, teachers who establish positive relationships and facilitate open communication create a more conducive learning atmosphere, enhancing students' confidence and participation. Conversely, teachers with lower social competence tend to experience more significant barriers in addressing students' academic challenges. The findings suggest that improving teachers' social competence can be an effective strategy to mitigate learning difficulties, especially in environments with diverse cultural and social backgrounds. This research contributes to the literature on teacher-student interaction, emphasizing the importance of teachers' emotional and social skills in fostering inclusive and effective learning environments. Furthermore, the study calls for teacher training programs that enhance both pedagogical and social competencies to optimize student learning outcomes in Islamic educational settings.

Abstract

The halaqah method is known as an effective traditional approach in teaching religious knowledge, especially in Islamic boarding schools, because it allows direct interaction between students and ustadz in an in-depth discussion atmosphere. This study uses a qualitative methodology, the study is included in the descriptive research category, by collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study were students and teachers at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah UIN Raden Intan Lampung who participated in fiqh learning using the halaqah method. The results of the study showed that the halaqah method improved students' understanding of fiqh material, especially in daily worship practices. Some of the obstacles faced include time constraints and variations in the educational backgrounds of students. However, this method is considered effective in building the personality and skills of students in understanding fiqh in depth. These findings are expected to be a reference for the development of the halaqah method in other religious educational institutions.

Abstract

Keluarga sebagai lingkungan pendidikan pertama memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk perkembangan sosial dan emosional anak melalui internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan pola asuh Islami dalam keluarga Muslim serta implikasinya terhadap perkembangan sosial dan emosional anak dalam perspektif pendidikan keluarga Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus yang dilaksanakan di SDN 1 Campang Raya, melibatkan lima belas orang tua, guru wali kelas, serta siswa kelas I dan II. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar orang tua menerapkan pola asuh Islami berbasis kasih sayang (rahmah), keteladanan (uswah hasanah), dan pembiasaan ibadah yang berkontribusi positif terhadap perkembangan sosial dan emosional anak, seperti meningkatnya kepercayaan diri, empati, kedisiplinan, dan kestabilan emosi. Namun, keterbatasan waktu orang tua serta penerapan pola asuh yang cenderung otoriter ditemukan menjadi faktor penghambat dalam pembentukan kehangatan emosional dan kepekaan sosial anak. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pola asuh Islami memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk perkembangan sosial dan emosional anak secara holistik, sehingga diperlukan sinergi antara keluarga dan sekolah dalam menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Learning interest is a crucial factor determining the effectiveness of the learning process, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Character Building. This study examined the effect of the SAVI learning model on students' learning interest, particularly in terms of student engagement, at SMP Negeri 1 Waway Karya. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental post-test-only control group design. The sample consisted of two seventh-grade classes, selected through simple random sampling: the experimental class, which used the SAVI learning model, and the control class, which used teacher-centered learning methods. The research instrument was a non-test questionnaire that measured student engagement in learning. The results of normality and homogeneity tests indicated that the data were normally distributed and had homogeneous variance. The Independent Samples t-test yielded a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.037 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. The average learning interest in the experimental group was 75.4, while that in the control group was 68.1, with standard deviations of 5.8 and 7.2, respectively. Cohen's d value for the effect size was 0.548, indicating a moderate effect. These findings demonstrate that the SAVI learning model has a significant and positive impact on increasing students' interest in learning. Therefore, this study confirms that the application of the SAVI model is feasible in Islamic Religious Education and Character Education, encouraging student engagement and enthusiasm.

Abstract

Learning Akidah Akhlak in madrasahs still faces challenges in the form of low student participation and activeness due to the dominance of conventional teaching methods. This condition highlights the need for learning innovations that can create interactive, collaborative, and engaging learning environments. One alternative approach is the use of digital learning media such as Wordwall combined with the Team Based Learning (TBL) model. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design conducted at MTs Al-Hidayah Lampung. The research subjects consisted of Akidah Akhlak teachers and students in the observed class. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that lesson planning was conducted by preparing lesson plans that integrated Wordwall media with the stages of the TBL model. The learning implementation proceeded systematically through teamwork, group discussions, and Wordwall-based evaluation activities, which enhanced students’ activeness, collaboration, and learning enthusiasm. Learning evaluation covered cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects, showing an improvement in students’ learning outcomes. Therefore, the implementation of Wordwall media within the Team Based Learning model contributes positively to the process and outcomes of Akidah Akhlak learning

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze research trends in gamification focusing on science education and explore opportunities for further development. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, a total of 126 relevant publications were identified from the Publish or Perish database indexed by Scopus, with 43 documents from the 2019–2023 period selected and analyzed based on inclusion criteria. These criteria include articles discussing gamification in science education, English-language articles, open-access publications, and Scopus-indexed articles. The literature review process followed PRISMA guidelines to ensure the quality of results, and data were analyzed using bibliometric methods with the assistance of VOSviewer 1.6.20 software. The results indicate significant fluctuations in the number of publications and citations year by year, reflecting the dynamics of research activity. Most publications originate from Spain, the United States, and Malaysia, with quantitative methods being the most widely used approach (51%). The main themes explored include student engagement, motivation, and conceptual understanding, particularly in STEM subjects. Collaborative networks highlight the importance of diverse perspectives in advancing gamification research. Density analysis reveals that the long-term impact and scalability of gamification in educational science still hold substantial potential for exploration. Therefore, further studies are urgently needed to optimize the role of gamification and maximize its benefits in the learning process.
