Abstract

This service aims to improve the ability of farmers and members of the APKASINDO DPW in Riau and Banten to understand and practice journalistic problems, especially writing news articles. The method used in this service is in the form of lectures, discussions, questions and answers, simulation of news article writing, and evaluation. The target of this service is training participants consisting of DPW APKASINDO members and farmers. The results of this service activity show that they get good scores in the simulation of article / news manuscripts. 90% have met the completeness criteria and passed 10% are still in the sufficient domain and need more practice in writing article scripts.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pemerintah Indonesia memberlakukan standar Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) untuk menjaga kelestarian lingkungan dengan mengelola lahan perkebunan kelapa sawit. ISPO merupakan Mandatory untuk perusahaan dan petani swadaya melakukan usaha perkebunan kelapa sawit. Tujuan pelatihan adalah untuk mensosialisasikan dan melatih petani swadaya dalam budidaya kelapa sawit sesuai dengan manajerial usaha tani yang sesuai dengan prinsip dan kreteria ISPO. Metode pelatihan secara teori dan praktek. Teori dilaksanakan didalam ruangan dan praktek dilakukan dilapangan. Mitra pengabdian sejumlah 45 orang terdiri 40 orang anggota APKASINDO (Asosiasi Petani Kelapa Sawit Indonesia) dan 5 orang adalah petani swadaya non anggota. Hasil yang dicapai setelah pelatihan peserta memiliki peningkatan pemahaman tentang manajerial usaha tani seperti pengukuran aspek-aspek Rasio Ekuitas (ER), Total Aset Turn-Over Ratio (TAT), Farm to Non-farm Receipts Ratio (FNF), Rasio Likuiditas (RL), Rasio Pembayaran Usaha Tani (FPR), Pengembalian Modal/Return on Capital (ROC), Return on Equity (ROE), Total Gross Margin (TGM) serta prinsip dan kreteria ISPO yaitu Kepatuhan Hukum, Penerapan Praktek Kebun yang baik, Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup, Sumber Daya Alam, Dan Keanekaragaman Hayati, Penerapan Transparansi dan Peningkatan Usaha Secara Berkelanjutan. Guna mengetahui perubahan pengetahuan memakai metode test tulis dan lisan dari hasil kegiatan dapat disimpulkan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman petani tentang manajerial usaha tani dan prinsip dan kreteria ISPO sebesar 95%.Abstract: The Indonesian government enforces the Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) standard to preserve the environment by managing oil palm plantation land. ISPO is mandatory for companies and independent smallholders to carry out oil palm plantation business. The purpose of the training is to socialize and train independent smallholders in oil palm cultivation in accordance with the managerial of agricultural businesses in accordance with ISPO principles and creteria. Training methods in theory and practice. Theory is carried out in the room and practice is carried out in the field. The service partners are 45 people consisting of 40 members of APKASINDO (Indonesian Palm Oil Farmers Association) and 5 people are non-member independent smallholders. The results achieved after the training participants had an increased understanding of farm business management such as measuring aspects of Equity Ratio (ER), Total Asset Turn-Over Ratio (TAT), Farm to Non-farm Receipts Ratio (FNF), Liquidity Ratio (RL), Farm Business Payment Ratio (FPR), Return on Capital (ROC), Return on Equity (ROE), Total Gross Margin (TGM) and ISPO principles and creteria, namely Legal Compliance, Implementation of Good Garden Practices, Management of the Environment, Natural Resources, and Biodiversity, Implementation of Transparency and Sustainable Business Improvement. In order to determine the change in knowledge using written and oral test methods from the results of activities, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in farmers' understanding of farm business management and ISPO principles and creteria by 95%.

Abstract

There are several types of environmental pollution in rural areas in Glagah Subdistrict, Lamongan Regency, such as water, soil, and air pollution. Air pollution occurs because the Glagah Subdistrict is crossed by the inter-regency axis road, which is travelled by many vehicles. Meanwhile, water and soil pollution in this area occur due to fish farming and ponds. In addition, Glagah Subdistrict in Lamongan Regency is considered a flood-prone area due to high rainfall that causes the overflow of Bengawan Solo River. This study aims to determine the quality of the rural environment in Glagah Subdistrict. This study used survey and questionnaire methods. Data were analyzed quantitatively using statistical calculations and frequency tables supported by descriptive analysis. The research parameters observed were environmental quality, disaster-prone potential, and the existence of disaster response by the local village government. The results of this study show that villages in Glagah Subdistrict do not experience air or soil pollution, as they are located far from industrial areas. Instead, water pollution occurs every year, characterized by the proliferation of water hyacinth that covers the surface of the rivers, thus inhibiting the flow of river water. Potential disasters in Glagah Subdistrict are flooding and tornado. Flooding occurs in seven villages located near Bengawan Jero (a tributary of Bengawan Solo) and can be categorized as annual flooding. Villages that are annually affected by flooding do not have disaster mitigation plans, even though funds for such activities are available. Therefore, cross-sectoral cooperation is needed to overcome the annual flooding in Glagah Subdistrict.

Abstract

Kelapa sawit  sebagai tanaman yang diusahakan  masyarakat dii Kecamatann Kuantann Hilirr Seberangg, Kabupatenn Kuantann Singingii, menghadapi masalah serangan hama. Sebagian besar pohon kelapa sawitt terserang oleh hama kumbang badak (Oryctes rhinoceros Linn). Dampak serangan hama menyebabkan penurunan produktivitas kelapa sawitt sangat drastis. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah dan diskusi dengan petani. Materi ceramah bertujuan untuk memberi bekal kepada masyarakat tentang perlindungan tanaman kelapa sawit terhadap hama kumbang khususnya kumbang badak. Metode diskusi dilakukan dengan transfer ilmu shareing pengalaman dilapangan serta pengendalian. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta sudah mengetahui nama dari hama kumbang yang menyerang tanaman kelapa sawit. Peserta dapat memdedakan jenis-jenis kumbang yang berpotensi menjadi hama dan pengendalian hama kumbang badak. akan efektif apabila dilakukan oleh setiap petani kelapa dan dilaksanakan secara terus menerus sampai populasi hama dibawah ambang ekonomi.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of microbial populations on the quality of the cocoa beans produced. This research used unfermented cocoa beans and was then referenced by adding inoculum. Three fermentation techniques were applied in this research. First, control (A0), without the addition of inoculum. Second, S. cerevisiae inoculum (FNCC 3056), L. lactis (FNC 0086), and A. aceti (FNCC 0016), each around 108 cfu / g is given simultaneously at the beginning of fermentation (A1). Third, the gradual administration of S. cerevisiae inoculum (FNCC 3056) at the beginning of fermentation, L. lactis (FNC 0086) at 24 hours, and A. aceti (FNCC 0016) at 48 hours with the same microbial population as the second treatment (A3). Fermentation was carried out for five days. The results showed that after being rehydrated as much as 50% weight of the produced dried material, the cocoa beans' composition could be used as a fermentation substrate. The highest population of S. cerevisiae, L. lactis, and A. aceti from three treatments was observed at 24, 48, and 72 hours of fermentation. Keywords: cocoa beans quality, inoculum, re-fermentation, unfermented ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh populasi mikroba terhadap kualitas biji kakao yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan biji kakao yang tidak difermentasi dan kemudian direferensikan dengan penambahan inokulum. Tahapan penelitian yang dilakukan adalah sebagai berikut fermentasi biji kakao dengan 3 variasi teknik fermentasi yaitu perlakuan pertama (A0) tanpa penambahan inokulum (kontrol), kedua (A1) menggunakan inokulum S. cerevisiae (FNCC 3056), L. lactis (FNC 0086) dan A. aceti (FNCC 0016), masing-masing sekitar 108 cfu/g diberikan secara bersamaan pada awal fermentasi, ketiga (A2) pemberian bertahap inokulum S. cerevisiae (FNCC 3056) pada awal fermentasi, L. lactis (FNC 0086) pada 24 jam dan A. aceti (FNCC 0016) pada 48 jam dengan populasi mikroba sama dengan perlakuan kedua. Fermentasi dilakukan selama 5 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah direhidrasi sebanyak 50% dari berat bahan yang dihasilkan komposisi biji kakao dapat digunakan sebagai substrat fermentasi. Populasi S. cerevisiae, L. lactis dan A. aceti tertinggi dari tiga perlakuan pada 24, 48 dan 72 jam fermentasi. Kata kunci: inokulum, kualitas, re-fermentasi, tanpa fermentasi

Abstract

This research will explore some of the issues faced by Kodim 0314 in adopting new technologies, developing relevant skills and knowledge, changing organizational culture, managing security risks, leveraging data and analytics, facilitating effective communication and coordination, and dealing with structural changes. Through an in-depth case study analysis, this research will uncover the important role that innovative leadership plays in overcoming challenges. The research method that can be used is a qualitative approach where information is collected through interviews, observation, and analysis of relevant documents. The survey was answered by administrators and members of Kodim 0314 Indragiri Hilir who are involved in decision-making and technology implementation in the unit. The results of this study aim to provide a deeper understanding of the role of innovative leadership in overcoming challenges and capturing opportunities in the digitalization era. The findings of this study will provide practical recommendations for leaders in Kodim 0314 and other military units in responding to rapid and complex changes in the digitalization era, including optimizing the use of technology, developing relevant skills and knowledge, changing organizational culture, managing security risks, leveraging data and analysis, facilitating communication and coordination, and dealing with structural changes that may be required. Penelitian ini akan mengeksplorasi beberapa permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Kodim 0314 dalam mengadopsi teknologi baru, mengembangkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan yang relevan, mengubah budaya organisasi, mengelola risiko keamanan, memanfaatkan data dan analisis, memfasilitasi komunikasi dan koordinasi yang efektif, serta menghadapi perubahan struktural. Melalui analisis studi kasus yang mendalam, penelitian ini akan mengungkap peran penting yang dimainkan oleh kepemimpinan inovatif dalam mengatasi tantangan. Metode penelitian yang dapat digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dimana informasi dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi dan analisis dokumen terkait. Survei ini dijawab oleh pengurus dan anggota Kodim 0314 Indragiri Hilir yang terlibat dalam pengambilan keputusan dan penerapan teknologi di unit tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang peran kepemimpinan inovatif dalam mengatasi tantangan dan menangkap peluang di era digitalisasi. Temuan-temuan penelitian ini akan memberikan rekomendasi praktis bagi pemimpin di Kodim 0314 dan unit militer lainnya dalam merespon perubahan yang cepat dan kompleks di era digitalisasi, termasuk dalam mengoptimalkan penggunaan teknologi, mengembangkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan yang relevan, mengubah budaya organisasi, mengelola risiko keamanan, memanfaatkan data dan analisis, memfasilitasi komunikasi dan koordinasi, serta menghadapi perubahan struktural yang mungkin diperlukan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine changes in chemical properties in the fermentation of dried cocoa beans. Sun-dried cocoa beans obtained from farmers have a non-uniform moisture content. In order to minimize fermentation failure, dry cocoa beans are obtained by drying fresh cocoa beans using a dryer cabinet with previously conditioned temperatures such as drying with sunlight, and each sugar content is determined. Fermentation experiments of dried cocoa beans were carried out fermentation in fermentation containers with a number of beans of 150 grams per container. Before fermenting, dry cocoa beans are rehydrated so that the moisture content is close to fresh beans, then dried cocoa beans are incubated for six days without being turned over during fermentation. Each treatment was repeated three times and observed every 24 hours to 120 hours. The results showed that chemical and physical changes increased according to SNI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan sifat kimia pada fermentasi biji kakao kering jemur. Biji kakao kering jemur yang diperoleh dari petani memiliki kadar air yang tidak seragam. Guna menimalkan kegagalan fermentasi maka biji kakao kering jemur diperoleh melalui pengeringan biji kakao segar menggunakan kabinet dryer dengan sebelumnya dikondisikan pada suhu seperti pengeringan dengan sinar matahari, dan masing ditentukan kadar gula reduksinya. Percobaan fermentasi biji kakao kering dilakukan fermentasi pada wadah fermentasi dengan jumlah biji 150 gram setiap wadah. Sebelum difermentasi terlebih dahulu biji kakao kering jemur di rehidrasi agar didapat kadar air mendekati biji segar, kemudian biji kakao kering jemur diinkubasi selama enam hari dan tanpa dibalik selama fermentasi. Setiap perlakuan diulangi tiga kali dan diamati tiap 24 jam sampai 120 jam. Hasil penelitian menunjukan perubahan kimia dan fisik mengalami peningkatan sesuai SNI.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the structure, conduct, and performance of the coconut market in the villages of Teluk Dalam, KuIndra Subdistrict. A sampling of farmers using accidental sampling and merchant sampling using the census method. Data analysis descriptively and quantitatively. Descriptively the market structure is seen through the number of market participants and market behavior is seen through the practice of price formation. Quantitatively, market structure analysis uses concentration analysis of market behavior using correlation analysis. The results of this research show Market behavior indicates that factories and traders dominate the market, this is seen from the value of the transmission price <1 are the channels with the lowest margin among the four channels in Teluk Dalam Villages. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur, perilaku dan kinerja pasar kelapa di desa Teluk Dalam, Kecamatan KuIndra. Pengambilan sampel petani menggunakan accidential sampling dan sampel pedagang menggunakan metode sensus. Analisis data dengan deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Secara deskriptif struktur pasar dilihat melalui jumlah pelaku pasar dan perilaku pasar dilihat melalui praktik pembentukan harga. Secara kuantitatif, analisis struktur pasar menggunakan analisis konsentrasi perilaku pasar dengan menggunakan analisis korelasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Perilaku pasar menunjukkan bahwa pabrik dan pedagang mendominasi pasar, hal ini dilihat dari nilai harga transmisi <1 merupakan saluran dengan margin terendah di antara empat saluran di Desa Teluk Dalam.

Abstract

Kebutuhan pangan terus meningkat setiap tahun yang disebabkan oleh pertambahan jumlah penduduk dan perubahan pola konsumsi pangan sehingga diperlukan terobosan teknologi budi daya yang mampu meningkatkan produktivitas dan produksi pangan nasional. Salah satu upaya peningkatan produktivitas pangan adalah dengan penggunaan varietas unggul baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan produksi beberapa varietas tanaman padi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari – April 2024. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Kempas Jaya kecamatan Kempas kabupaten Indragiri Hilir. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan perlakuan varietas meliputi yaitu IR 64, Ciherang, Situbagendit, Inpari 3, Inpari 13 dan Inpara 3, diulang tiga kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uji daya hasil beberapa varietas padi berbeda sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman per rumpun, bobot 1000 butir gabah kering, jumlah akar per rumpun, volume akar, berbeda nyata terhadap jumlah anakan maksimal per rumpun, jumlah anakan produktif, panjang malai per rumpun, jumlah gabah bernas per malai, dan bobot gabah kering per petak, sebaliknya tidak berbeda nyata terhadap bobot gabah basah per rumpun dan bobot gabah kering per rumpun. Produksi tertinggi yaitu padi varietas Inpari 3, kemudian diikuti oleh varietas Inpara 3, Inpari 13, Situbagendit, Ciherang dan IR 64 dengan hasil berturut-turut 5,99 ton/ha, 5,84 ton/ha, 5,14 ton/ha, 5,3 ton/ha, 5,2 ton/ha dan 4,9 ton/ha.
