Abstract

Nurses play a vital role in hospital services, yet high workload, job stress, and low motivation may reduce performance. This study aimed to analyze the effect of motivation, workload, and job stress on the performance of inpatient nurses at BaliMed Hospital Karangasem. The research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive-verificative design. The sample consisted of 71 nurses determined by saturated sampling. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires, then analyzed with multiple linear regression. The results showed that motivation had a positive and significant effect on performance, while workload and job stress had negative and significant effects. Simultaneously, all three variables significantly affected performance with an R² value of 90.6%. The study concludes that motivation, workload, and job stress are dominant factors influencing nurse performance. It is suggested that hospital management improve motivation, balance workload, and manage stress through organizational support to maintain optimal service quality.

Abstract

Burnout is a psychological problem frequently experienced by healthcare workers due to high work demands, emotional stress, and patient care responsibilities. This study aims to analyze the influence of job strain and defense mechanisms on healthcare worker burnout, with resilience as an intervening variable at Dr. Nur Clinic in Cimahi City. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of healthcare workers working at Dr. Nur Clinic. The data analysis technique used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) to test the relationship between the research variables. The results showed that job strain significantly influenced resilience, while defense mechanisms also had a significant influence on resilience. Resilience was shown to have a significant influence on healthcare worker burnout. Job strain did not directly influence burnout, while defense mechanisms had a significant effect on burnout. In addition, resilience was shown to mediate the relationship between job strain and defense mechanisms on burnout. The findings of this study indicate that burnout in healthcare workers is not only influenced by work pressure, but also by the individual's psychological ability to deal with work stress. Therefore, strengthening resilience and developing adaptive coping strategies are important to reduce the risk of burnout in healthcare workers.

Abstract

The decline in outpatient visits is a major challenge for regional hospitals amidst increasing competition in healthcare services. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the 7P marketing mix (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Process, and Physical Evidence) in increasing outpatient visits at Mayjen HM Ryacudu Regional General Hospital in Kotabumi, Lampung. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with management, medical personnel, and patients, which were then validated through source triangulation, field observation, and documentation. Then, they were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results show that price and place elements are the hospital's main strengths due to affordable rates and strategic location. However, limited pricing flexibility due to government regulations limits the function of price as a differentiation tool. People and process elements play a significant role in shaping patient perceptions of service quality, while promotion has not been optimally utilized. A SWOT analysis places the hospital in a position that requires aggressive market penetration through service digitalization and physical facility modernization to restore public trust and increase visits by BPJS and general patients. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating all elements of the 7P marketing mix synergistically to increase patient interest in visiting regional hospitals.

Abstract

Service quality refers to the extent to which healthcare services can improve the desired health outcomes in accordance with the abilities and knowledge of professionals. One of the services in hospitals is Medical Rehabilitation. Based on the visit data to RSUD Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti in 2024 at the Medical Rehabilitation Polyclinic, the three most common diseases out of the top ten at the Rehabilitation Polyclinic were obtained, namely: Sequela of cerebral infarction, primary gonarthrosis, and Low Back Pain. Currently, RSUD Kab. Kep. Meranti has only one Medical Rehabilitation Specialist Doctor who practices from Monday to Wednesday. This study is a quantitative research with an associative approach aimed at determining the effect of service quality and service accessibility on patient satisfaction and compliance with a total of 90 respondents. Based on the results of data analysis and hypothesis testing conducted simultaneously, Service Quality, Service Accessibility, and Patient Satisfaction have a significant effect on Patient Compliance. Nevertheless, the coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.257 indicates that the regression model can only explain 25.7% of the Patient Compliance variable, while the remaining 74.3% is influenced by other factors not studied in this research.

Abstract

School aged children are a vulnerable group to nutritional problems that may affect growth, cognitive development, and skills. One major contributing factor is inadequate knowledge of balanced nutrition. This study aimed to examine the differences and effects of Bookzi media and lecture methods on students’ knowledge and attitudes toward balanced nutrition among fifth-grade students at SDN 01 Mangga Dua Selatan. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was applied. The population consisted of 116 students, with 56 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using t-tests and F-tests with SPSS software. The results showed that both Bookzi media and lecture methods had significant partial effects on improving knowledge and attitudes toward balanced nutrition (p<0.05). Simultaneously, both methods significantly influenced all post-test variables (p=0.000). However, the increase in knowledge and attitude scores was higher in the Bookzi group than in the lecture group. These findings indicate that edutainment-based educational media are more effective in enhancing students’ understanding and fostering positive attitudes toward balanced nutrition.
