Abstract

The paradigm shift in education in Indonesia demands innovations in learning that are relevant to the needs of the 21st century. One of the main challenges is the low quality of moral education, which serves as the foundation for shaping students’ character at the junior high school (SMP/MTs) level. This issue arises due to the limited availability of structured learning models aligned with the values of Nabawi morals. This study aims to develop and implement a systematically designed Nabawi moral education program to foster students’ positive behavior, strengthen the role of teachers, and involve parents as educational partners. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, consisting of needs analysis, design, expert validation, limited trials, implementation with target groups, and evaluation and FGD (Focus Group Discussion), through both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results show that the development of this Nabawi moral education program effectively enhances students’ understanding of moral values, strengthens teachers’ instructional skills, and fosters collaboration between schools and parents. The program has been validated by four experts religious expert, material/language expert, design expert, and media expert resulting in a score of 15 (95%), indicating that the program is highly feasible to be applied at the SMP/MTs level. Therefore, this program is considered feasible to be implemented as a contextual and applicable Islamic value-based character education model. ABSTRAKPerubahan paradigma pendidikan di Indonesia menuntut adanya inovasi dalam pembelajaran yang relevan dengan kebutuhan abad ke-21. Salah satu tantangan utama adalah rendahnya kualitas pendidikan akhlak yang berfungsi sebagai pondasi pembentukan karakter siswa di tingkat SMP/MTs. Masalah ini muncul karena masih terbatasnya model pembelajaran yang terstruktur dan sesuai dengan nilai-nilai akhlak Nabawi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan program pendidikan akhlak Nabawi yang dirancang secara sistematis agar mampu membentuk perilaku positif siswa, memperkuat peran guru, serta melibatkan orang tua sebagai mitra pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) model ADDIE dengan tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, validasi ahli, uji coba terbatas, serta implementasi pada kelompok sasaran dan evaluasi, dan FGD (Focus Group Discussion), analisis data penelitian ini kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan program pendidikan akhlak Nabawi ini efektif meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai nilai moral, memperkuat keterampilan guru dalam mendidik, serta menumbuhkan kolaborasi antara sekolah dan orang tua. Program ini telah divalidasi oleh empat ahli yaitu ahli bidang agama, ahli bidang materi/bahasa, ahli bidang desain, ahli bidang media diperoleh skor 15 (95%) yang menunjukkan bahwa program ini termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat layak untuk diterapkan di tingkat MTs dan SMP. Dengan demikian, program ini layak untuk diterapkan sebagai model pendidikan karakter berbasis nilai Islam yang kontekstual dan aplikatif.

Abstract

The decline in student enrollment poses a significant challenge for Islamic educational institutions, including SMP Qur’an As-Salam Bogor, highlighting the need for effective organizational communication management. This study aims to analyze Public Relations (PR) strategies in managing communication and their contribution to strengthening the school’s public image. This research employed a qualitative case study approach, with the research subjects consisting of school leaders, teachers, PR officers, and community representatives. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that internal communication management is implemented through coordination meetings, task distribution, and collaboration among school stakeholders, while external communication focuses on activity publications, achievement promotion, and partnerships with the community and external institutions. These strategies contribute to a positive institutional image, increased public trust, and growing community interest in student enrollment. The study concludes that PR functions as a strategic connector between the school and its environment, extending beyond publication activities. It is recommended that Islamic schools optimize PR strategies using systematic and measurable communication approaches to enhance sustainability and competitiveness in the modern era.
