Abstract

Permasalahan yang terjadi pada penelitian ini yaitu belum maksimalnya aktivitas peserta didik, keterampilan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan parafrase pada materi ide pokok. Solusi yang menyelesaikan masalah tersebut adalah menggunakan model pembelajaran Cost per Learning. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan aktivitas belajar, keterampilan berpikir kritis, dan keterampilan parafrase setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran Cost per Learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan 4 kali pertemuan. Data yang diambil adalah data kualitatif yang diperoleh berdasarkan observasi aktivitas pendidik, aktivitas peserta didik, keterampikan berpikir kritis, dan keterampilan parafase serta data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui soal evaluasi tertulis secara kelompok dan individu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan akvitas peserta didik dari menjadi 65% menjadi 88%, keterampilan berpikir kritis dari 50% menjadi 83%, dan keterampilan parafrase dari 49% menjadi 83%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penerapan model Cost per Learning dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia mampu meningkatkan aktivitas peserta didik, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan kemampuan parafrase.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low student participation, critical thinking skills, and learning outcomes in Pancasila Education content. This is caused by learning methods that tend to be monotonous and less varied. The purpose of this study is to describe the activities of teachers and students, as well as analyze the improvement of critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes through the application of the PROSES learning model combined with Wordwall media. This type of research is Classroom Action Research which was conducted for four meetings with fifth grade students of SDN Melayu 6 Banjarmasin in the even semester of the 2024/2025 school year using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation and written tests. The results showed that teacher activity increased from meeting to meeting with a very good category. Student activity increased from 31% (moderately active) to 94% (very active). Critical thinking skills increased from 31% (less skillful) to 94% (very skillful). This increase also had an impact on student learning outcomes which increased from 44% to 94% in the complete category. Thus, the application of the PROSES model and Wordwall media is effective in improving learning activities, critical thinking skills, and student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education content.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Wordwall media in developing the learning activities of elementary school students. This study is motivated by the need for digital learning media that is attractive and appropriate to the characteristics of elementary school students who are active, enjoy playing, and responsive to interactive visual displays. The method used is a literature study by analyzing 12 relevant journals regarding the use of word walls in various subjects. The results of the analysis prove that word walls have a positive impact on student learning activities, which is seen from the increase in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects as well as various indicators of activity such as asking questions, discussing, answering questions, and playing an active role during teaching and learning activities. In addition, word walls can increase interest and motivation in learning due to their interactive and fun game features. Overall, word walls are recommended as an effective digital learning medium to increase the learning activities of elementary school students.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in elementary schools marks a new direction in education that is more flexible, student-centered, and focused on meaningful learning. However, its implementation still faces various challenges, particularly related to teacher readiness, disparities in students’ learning abilities, and suboptimal parental involvement. This study aims to identify the main obstacles in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum and examine their impact on the quality of learning in primary education. Using a literature review method, this research analyzes scientific articles, policy documents, and recent studies published within the last five years. The findings indicate that although the Merdeka Curriculum promotes deep learning, differentiation, character development, and 21st-century skills, its effectiveness is hindered by teachers who feel overwhelmed in adapting their instructional strategies, students’ generally low academic performance, high absenteeism rates, and the policy all students to grade up, which also affects assessment dynamics. In addition, limited infrastructure, unequal access to technology,  and weak collaboration among schools, families, and communities further exacerbate the challenges of implementation. This study concludes that systemic support, continuous professional development, and strengthened partnerships among schools, families, and communities are key to realizing an effective, sustainable, and goal-aligned implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in primary education.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of interactive learning media on the learning motivation of elementary school students through a systematic literature review. The problem underlying this study is the low utilization of interactive media in elementary education, which results in passive learning, limited student engagement, and declining motivation. The study aims to analyze types of effective interactive media, identify their influence on motivational aspects, and evaluate challenges in their implementation at the elementary school level. Using purposive sampling, this review synthesizes national journals, empirical studies, and educational literature published within the last ten years. The analysis shows that interactive media such as game based learning, interactive videos, simulations, augmented reality, and mobile learning applications significantly increase students’ attention, curiosity, confidence, satisfaction, and overall motivation. Visual stimulation, immediate feedback, and hands-on learning experiences make abstract concepts more concrete and meaningful. However, issues such as limited infrastructure, teacher digital competence, content quality, and classroom management challenges remain obstacles to optimal implementation. The study concludes that interactive media play a crucial role in enhancing intrinsic motivation and supporting active, student-centered learning. The findings highlight the need for continuous teacher training, equitable digital access, and contextually relevant media development to maximize the benefits of interactive learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Reading ability, or literacy, is a competency that students must master from elementary school because it can influence the learning process at the next level. However, some students still experience obstacles in reading due to a lack of interest in reading. The use of visual media is one way that can be used to help students, because it can provide interesting visual images and facilitate understanding of the content of the reading. In the literature review, the use of visual media in improving students' reading comprehension was carried out to identify fundamental concepts, learning strategies, and previous research results to demonstrate the effectiveness of using visual media in students' reading comprehension in elementary schools.

Abstract

This Systematic Literature Review aims to examine the effectiveness of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in enhancing numeracy skills among Elementary School (ES) students. The study is motivated by the low global numeracy literacy of Indonesian students and the dominance of conventional mathematics teaching methods. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), analyzing empirical research journals concerning RME and numeracy in ES published from 2018–2025. The synthesis results demonstrate that applying RME has a significant impact on improving students' numeracy literacy compared to conventional methods. RME is proven effective because it begins learning from realistic contexts, promotes active student involvement in guided reinvention, and links abstract concepts to daily life experiences. This improvement covers the ability to understand problem context, mathematical reasoning, and solving real-life problems. This review concludes that RME is a systematic and relevant learning strategy for strengthening ES students' numeracy, aligned with the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the extent to which ice breaking activities are effective in improving learning motivation among elementary school students by reviewing findings from previous research. The method employed is a literature review, involving the selection and analysis of relevant research articles, academic reports, and publications from the past several years. The review indicates that ice breaking contributes to a more supportive classroom climate, enhances student engagement, and reduces fatigue during learning activities. Moreover, several studies highlight that structured implementation of ice breaking strengthens intrinsic motivation and improves students’ emotional readiness to absorb instructional content. These findings suggest that ice breaking can serve as a complementary strategy to support learning in elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of gamification as an innovation in digital education and its impact on student learning engagement at the elementary school level. The method used was a literature review, which included an analysis of seven recent scientific articles related to gamification elements, motivation to learn, and student engagement in digital learning contexts. The analysis was conducted through identifying themes such as the use of points, badges, levels, challenges, leaderboards, avatars, and the use of digital media such as Quizizz, Wordwall, and interactive Canva. The review results indicate that gamification can consistently increase intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, active participation, concentration, and self-confidence in students. Learning becomes more enjoyable, interactive, and positively competitive, resulting in students being more responsive to instructions and engaged cognitively, emotionally, and socially. Furthermore, several studies have also shown improved learning outcomes after the implementation of gamification compared to traditional learning methods. These findings confirm that gamification is an effective and relevant pedagogical approach in this digital age and can be implemented as a sustainable learning strategy to improve the quality and engagement of students in elementary schools.

Abstract

Technology-based learning is essential in the digital era to create interactive, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences for elementary school students. However, many schools have not fully utilized digital media, resulting in monotonous teacher-centered instruction. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of interactive Smart TV media in improving student learning outcomes at SDN Pangeran 1. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and students who used Smart TV during learning activities. Data were analyzed through reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Smart TV effectively enhances students’ conceptual understanding, motivation, and participation through visual-audio presentations, educational videos, and interactive activities using applications such as YouTube, Quizizz, and Ruang Siswa. Teachers also benefit from real-time monitoring through digital assessments. Challenges include unstable internet connectivity and varying student readiness in operating devices, which can be addressed through guidance and offline content preparation. Overall, interactive Smart TV media provides significant contributions to improving learning quality and is recommended for sustainable integration into elementary learning practices.
