Abstract

There are no textbooks for developing physics learning tools, the learning materials are not structured, and students independently collect lecture materials. This research aims to explore the need for teaching materials, especially physics learning device development textbooks. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. This study used an incidental sample of physics education students from four university representatives who had completed an online questionnaire. The respondents were 166 people, consisting of 30 students from University A, 27 from University B, 29 from University C, and 80 from University D. The results showed that the research sample required physics learning device development textbooks. The yearly need for physics learning device development textbooks was 57.07% in 2018, 59.78% in 2019, and 60.88% in 2020. The percentage of the indicator of the need for textbooks: 47.20% for learning resources, 37.98% for textbook availability, 84.64% for teaching material students need, and 67.16% for students interest in physics learning device development. Therefore, lecturers need to develop practice-based textbooks in the physics learning device development course.

Abstract

Physics education study programs at several private universities in South Sulawesi are still limited in implementing Modern Physics practicum. The implementation of Modern Physics practicum at College A is limited to three practicum units, while College B has never held a Modern Physics practicum. This is because college B does not yet have a modern physics laboratory and practicum unit. Therefore, researchers developed modern physics practical tools. The Modern Physics practicum device is designed using Arduino Uno which is equipped with a digital practicum module. The aim of this research is to describe the stages of definition in aspects of curriculum analysis, beginning and end, and student needs. This research is research and development using the 4D-Thiagarajan model. Research data was analyzed descriptively. The results of the research show that one of the important Modern Physics practicum contents according to course achievements is the Photoelectric Effect. It is hoped that the development of the Photoelectric Effects practicum equipment can become a learning medium for students and a precursor to the development of other Modern Physics practicum units at the two universities

Abstract

Development of Local Wisdom-Based Physics Teaching Materials for Grade X Students at SMAN 4 Maros. Aims to assess the validity and reliability of physics teaching materials based on local wisdom, as well as evaluate students' conceptual understanding and responses to these materials. The research and development method used is the 4-D model, which includes defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. However, dissemination was not conducted in this study due to time and budget constraints. The product was validated by media experts, subject matter experts, and physics teachers, with the research subjects being tenth-grade students at SMAN 4 Maros. The product's instrument sheets were tested for validity and reliability, and the assessment results were analyzed descriptively. Several findings indicate that the evaluation of the teaching materials showed high validity in the material aspect with a score of 3.5 (Very Valid) and a reliability of 0.947 (Very Strong), as well as in the media aspect with a score of 3.55 (Very Valid) and a reliability of 0.947 (Very Strong). The average evaluation score of the students was 13.125 (Very Good). Additionally, the questionnaire results indicated a "Very Positive" response to the physics teaching materials by 87% of the 40 participating students. Based on these assessments, the developed module is deemed highly suitable for use.

Abstract

Kurangnya memahami pemanfaaran aplikasi canva sehingga literasi digital masih minim dikalangan guru serta kurang menggunakan media pembelajaran yang interaktif. Tujuan pengabdian agar guru di SDN 17 Bontosunggu, Kabupaten Pangkep dapat memanfaatkan aplikasi Canva dan membuata media pembelajaran berbasis apliakasi Canva pada berbagai materi yang digunakan pada saat proses pembelajaran di kelas. Mekanisme metode pengabdian dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan secara umum berupa perencanaan/ persiapan, pelaksanaan, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada guru di SDN 17 Bontosunggu sebanyak 9 responden. Dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan pemanfaatan aplikasi Canva dalam meningkatkan literasi digital berjalan dengan baik. Guru mampu membuat media pembelajaran serta produk lainnya  dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi Canva. Hal ini terlihat pada hasil evaluasi yang mengalami peningkatan signifikan dari aspek  pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dan antusias guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran berbasis apliaksi Canva

Abstract

KB Toddopuli memiliki sarana dan prasarana yang memadai untuk melakukan pembelajaran berbasis digital seperti laptop, LCD proyektor, wifi, soundsystem namun pembelajaran berbasis digital belum optimal diterapkan. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk membantu guru-guru di KB Toddopuli mengaplikasikan media pembelajaran berbasis augmented reality sebagai media pembelajaran literasi. Metode pengabdian dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan secara umum berupa perencanaan/ persiapan, sosialisasi, pelatihan. Adapun mitra dalam pengabdian ini adalah guru-guru KB Toddopuli yang terdiri dari 3 orang guru serta murid sebanyak 20 orang. Dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan media pembelajaran berbasis augmented reality dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pra literasi anak usia dini berjalan dengan baik. Guru mampu memanfaatkan media pembelajaran augmented reality pada tema Alam semesta dengan subtema fenomena alam di langit dengan menampilkan gerhana matahari, gerhana bulan, bumi, bulan, pelangi dan bintang. Hal ini terlihat pada hasil evaluasi yang mengalami peningkatan signifikan dari aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dan antusias serta motivasi murid saat mengikuti pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research with an experimental research method. The design of this research is One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The aim is to (1) determine the effect of ethnophysics of traditional musical instruments Gandrang Bulo on sound wave material on the interest in learning physics in class XI students at SMAS Bukit Tinggi (2) To determine the level of interest in learning physics with the application of ethnophysics media of traditional musical instruments Gandrang Bulo on sound wave material in class XI students at SMAS Bukit Tinggi. The subjects of this study were class IX students in the even semester of 2023/2024. This study was conducted in 5 meetings and data collection was carried out using multiple-choice tests that had been tested for validity. The research data were analyzed quantitatively using IBM SPSS Version 29. From the research results, it can be concluded that (1) The description of the level of interest in learning physics with the application of ethnophysical media of the traditional musical instrument Gandrang Bulo on the indicator of feelings of pleasure is in the high category, the attention category is in the low category, while in the interest category it is in the high category. (2) There is an influence of ethnophysics of the traditional musical instrument Gandrang Bulo on the material of sound waves on interest in learning, which can be seen from the average Ngain experiencing an increase in the high level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejarah pertumbuhan perguruan tinggi Islam. Selain itu peneliti ingin mengetahui pengembangan perguruan tinggi Islam di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif-deskriptif dengan teknik studi kepustakaan (library research). Dalam mengumpulkan data dilakukan studi literature dilakukan dengan mengkaji berbagai referensi yang relevan seperti buku, jurnal dan internet sebagai sumber utama serta ilmiah lainnya sumber yang berkaitan dengan Perguruan Tinggi Islam di Indonesia. Data tersebut kemudian dianalisis, ditinjau, dan didiskusikan dengan teori yang relevan dan akhirnya kesimpulan ditarik dengan membandingkan berbagai pendapat ahli. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Perguruan tinggi Islam di Indonesia didirikan pada tanggal 10 April 1946 di Jogjakarta dengan nama Sekolah Tinggi Islam (STI), pada bulan November 1947, STI berkembang menjadi universitas bernama Universitas Islam Indonesia, yang mengoperasikan empat fakultas, termasuk agama dan PTAIN telah berkembang menjadi 52 PTAIN diantaranya terdiri dari 6 UIN, 15 IAIN dan 31 STAIN. Kemudian perkembangan PTAI berdampak besar terhadap pergerakan politik, ekonomi, sosial, budaya dan lainnya. dikalangan umat Islam Indonesia dan masyarakat Indonesia pada umumnya.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with character values on improving students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor competencies in physics learning. The research was conducted using One Group Pretest-Posttest experimental design on class X students at SMAN 1 Jeneponto, South Sulawesi. Data were collected through cognitive tests, psychomotor observation sheets, and affective questionnaires. The results of the analysis showed that the application of PBL-NK model significantly improved all three aspects of student competence. The highest average score was achieved in the psychomotor aspect (86.5), followed by the cognitive (84.6) and affective (80.5) aspects. This improvement was proven through paired t-test with significant results on all variables (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that PBL-NK not only improves the understanding of physics concepts, but also supports the formation of student character in accordance with the Pancasila Student Profile. This model proves to be relevant in answering the challenges of 21st century education through the integration of competency-based learning and character values. It is recommended that teachers receive special training to apply this model, and the development of PBL-NK-based teaching materials is carried out to support the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in various subjects.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi anak melalui program teras literasi. Sasaran program adalah 22 orang anak berusia 7-12 tahun di Dusun Garantiga , Desa Simbang, Maros, Sulawesi Selatan yang memiliki kemampuan literasi rendah. Program dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu 1)persiapan dan perencanaan, 2)pelaksanaan, dan 3)evaluasi. Tahap persiapan dan perencanaan meliputi Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dan survey awal untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal. Tahap pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui pendampingan membaca bersama, menulis kreatif, diskusi dan permainan literasi yang menyenangkan, serta sosialisasi mengenai pentingnya peran orang tua dalam mendukung anak membangun budaya membaca di rumah. Selanjutnya tahap evaluasi, yang meliputi: 1) wawancara dengan anak-anak dan orang tua, 2) observasi perubahan sikap anak-anak, 3) observasi dan wawancara perubahan dalam budaya membaca anak. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam minat membaca dan keterampilan literasi anak-anak. Data dari pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak mulai aktif memilih buku untuk dibaca, dengan persentase meningkat dari 40,90% menjadi 86,36%. Selain itu, kemampuan membaca anak-anak, seperti merangkai kata dan membaca suku kata, juga meningkat, dari 22,73% menjadi 72,73%. Aktivitas membaca bersama teman dan orang tua di rumah juga meningkat, dengan persentase dari 31,82% menjadi 81,82%. Diskusi tentang materi bacaan dengan teman mengalami peningkatan signifikan, dari 13,64% menjadi 68,18%, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak mulai memahami dan mendalami materi yang dibaca. Selain itu, kecenderungan untuk memilih membaca daripada menonton TV juga meningkat, dari 20% menjadi 59,09%. Dengan demikian, program Teras Belajar telah berhasil mengembangkan kebiasaan membaca yang menyenangkan dan kemampuan literasi yang meningkat.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design a problem-based physics learning module (PBL) for phase E students on measurement material. This study is a research and development (R&D) that refers to the ADDIE development model. The five stages of the model are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The validation sheet from the learning device expert serves as an instrument for this study, which is limited to the implementation stage. Based on the results of expert validation, the developed learning module is categorized as very feasible with a percentage of 86% and is stated to be usable in the learning process, especially in physics subjects on measurement material.
