Abstract

Lahan pertanian di Kota Banjarmasin semakin berkurang yang disebabkan oleh alih fungsi lahan. Teknologi akuaponik menjadi salah satu pendekatan yang dilakukan agar budidaya tanaman tetap dapat dilakukan pada lahan yang sempit. Pokdakan “Bangkit Menuju Sukses” merupakan kelompok pembudidaya ikan yang aktif, namun masih terbatas dalam variasi kegiatan selain budidaya ikan. Upaya untuk menanam sayuran di atas kolam telah dilakukan, namun belum efisien karena keterbatasan lahan, tenaga, serta keterampilan budidaya tanaman. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan bagi anggota Pokdakan “Bangkit Menuju Sukses” dalam budidaya sayuran melalui metode akuaponik.  Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini yakni ceramah, pengenalan alat dan bahan persemaian dan praktik penyemaian benih sayuran. Hasil  yang diperoleh pada kegiatan ini, mitra mengetahui alat dan bahan penyemaian benih sayuran beserta fungsinya yang ditunjukkan pada nilai pre-test dan post-test. Selain itu, mitra terampil dalam menyemai benih sayuran pada media rockwool. Mitra menjadi lebih terampil dalam melakukan perawatan benih, karena sebelumnya benih yang ditanam mengalami kegagalan pertumbuhan akibat kurang pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam perawatan benih. Kemudian dilakukan penanaman benih kembali dan pendampingan perawatan benih. Setelah dilakukan pendampingan, benih yang ditanam tumbuh hingga menjadi bibit yang siap dipindahkan ke instalasi akuaponik. Melalui pendampingan ini, mitra mengetahui dan memahami cara penanaman dan perawatan benih tanaman yang baik. Mitra berharap agar kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini terus berjalan dan dapat berkelanjutan sebagai upaya meningkatkan ketahanan pangan keluarga, memberikan nilai tambah ekonomi, serta menjadi model pengembangan akuaponik perkotaan yang ramah lingkungan di wilayah Banjarmasin.

Abstract

Indonesia dikenal sebagai negara megabiodiversitas dengan kekayaan hayati yang luar biasa, termasuk berbagai jenis tanaman obat yang memiliki potensi besar untuk dimanfaatkan dalam peningkatan kualitas kesehatan Masyarakat. Tujuan Program pengabdian ini melakukan Pelatihan Budidaya dan Pemanfaatan Tumbuhan Obat Keluarga Melalui Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Kampung Ayambori Sebagai Upaya Konservasi dan Peningkatan Kesehatan Masyarakat. Metode pelatihan terdiri dari sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi dan evaluasi kegiatan. Mitra sasaran yakni Warga dan PKK kampung Ayambori yang terdiri dari 15 orang. Evaluasi kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan membagikan kuesioner kepada para peserta pelatihan yaitu warga kampung Ayambori  yang terdiri dari 20 butir soal. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan budidaya tanaman obat  keluarga. Sebelum pelatihan, data menunjukkan bahwa 75% warga tidak mengetahui tentang tanaman obat keluarga dan 90,9% belum pernah dilakukan pelatihan budidaya tanaman obat keluarga. Namun, setelah pelatihan, 83,3% peserta mampu memahami mengenai tanaman obat keluarga, 83,3 % siap membudidayakan TOGA dan 91,7% mengetahui cara membuat ramuan herbal serta 90,9% kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat untuk peserta. Kesimpulan pengabdian ini terjadi Peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan warga dalam membudidayakan dan Pemanfaatan Tumbuhan Obat Keluarga Melalui Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Kampung Ayambori Sebagai Upaya Konservasi dan Peningkatan Kesehatan Masyarakat.

Abstract

Coffee is one of Indonesia’s leading plantation commodities that plays an important role in the national economy. However, the quality and productivity of smallholder coffee remain low due to limited post-harvest facilities and farmers’ lack of knowledge. Kemawi Village, Somagede District, Banyumas Regency, has great potential for robusta coffee development, yet post-harvest processing is still carried out traditionally, resulting in inconsistent quality and low added value. This community service program aimed to improve the quality and added value of coffee through the application of post-harvest technology in the Mekar Sari Farmer Group. The method applied a participatory approach, involving observation and field surveys, coordination, counseling, training, and practical assistance in post-harvest processing using pulper and huller machines. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests to measure knowledge improvement, as well as field observations of practical implementation. The results showed an increase in farmers’ knowledge and skills in selective harvesting, controlled fermentation, optimal drying, and proper storage and packaging. Partner farmers were able to operate post-harvest machines independently, which improved processing efficiency and resulted in more consistent coffee quality. Furthermore, the economic value of coffee also increased as the products could be marketed with higher quality. In conclusion, the application of simple post-harvest technology successfully enhanced the quality, efficiency, and competitiveness of robusta coffee in Kemawi Village. Abstract

This community service activity was carried out at SMK Negeri 3 Tondano with the aim of improving teacher competency in designing and implementing TPACK-based learning and 21st-century skills through the 4C approach, namely communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. The implementation methods included socialization, training, lesson plan development workshops, microteaching, and classroom implementation. Evaluation was carried out through pre-tests and post-tests, observations, and interviews with teachers and students. The training results showed a significant increase in teacher understanding, with the average score increasing from 62.3 to 83.7 with an N-Gain of 0.58. In more detail, TPACK understanding increased from 61.2 to 83.5, 4C implementation from 63.4 to 85.2, HOTS integration from 60.1 to 81.7, and ICT utilization from 64.6 to 86.4. At the microteaching stage, 70% of teachers were able to communicate effectively, 65% facilitated collaborative discussions, and 55% used digital media well. Classroom implementation also had a positive impact on students, with 85 percent finding learning more engaging and 78 percent more motivated. Thus, this training has been proven to improve teacher professionalism while creating a more interactive, collaborative, and relevant learning experience for the needs of the 21st century. This activity recommends continued mentoring, the establishment of a forum for sharing good practices, revisions to suboptimal lesson plans, and digital infrastructure support to strengthen the ongoing implementation of TPACK and 4C.

Abstract

Oil palm plantation waste, including fronds, fibres, and palm kernel meal, remains an underutilised local resource among livestock farmers in the Tanah Laut region. Despite its potential as an economical and sustainable alternative feed, its adoption has been limited. This community service initiative, conducted in collaboration with ASPERKAM Tanah Laut, aims to promote a circular agriculture model by utilising oil palm waste as feed for goats. The primary objective is to enhance farmers’ capacity to process oil palm waste into nutritious livestock feed while strengthening community-based sustainable agricultural practices. The implementation methods included field surveys, technical training on feed formulation, and feeding trials with goats. A participatory approach was employed to ensure active farmer involvement throughout each phase of the activity. The results indicate that oil palm waste can be processed into feed with adequate nutritional content and is well accepted by livestock. Feed cost efficiency improved by up to 30% compared to commercial feed. Farmers demonstrated increased knowledge and skills in feed formulation, along with heightened environmental awareness through organic waste reduction. This initiative also reinforced synergy between academia and local communities in developing grassroots innovations. In conclusion, the utilisation of oil palm waste as goat feed has proven to be effective and holds significant potential to support inclusive and sustainable circular agriculture.

Abstract

SMK Karya Abadi Sumedang has limitations in terms of Teaching Factory (TeFa) facilities, particularly in the field of Retail Business, as a result of which students do not have the opportunity to gain direct experience in modern business management. Telkom University is collaborating with industry partner PT Sinai Teknologi Abadi to meet this need through the Smart Mini Market: Qmart program as part of its community service program. The goal is to improve student competence through the creation of Teaching Factory facilities for practical learning. The QMart application was developed as a Point of Sales (POS) system, along with modules and video tutorials as operational guides, as well as mini market facilities for practical training, and the implementation of QMart Operational Workshops. All of these stages are part of the implementation process. The results of the activity show that participants gained a better understanding of stock management, using digital cashier systems, and creating product marketing strategies. Teachers benefited from the integration of the Teaching Factory into the curriculum, while the school gained an independent business that can provide financial assistance. Additionally, the results of the questionnaire given to workshop participants indicate that this program meets their needs and is able to improve their understanding of mini market operations, particularly the QMART application. Participants' average initial scores increased from the moderate category (2.27–3.14) to the high category (4.03–4.68) after the workshop. The aspect of confidence in using the QMart application and encouragement for digital entrepreneurship showed the most significant improvement. It has been proven that the QMart implementation program is appropriate, efficient, and has a positive impact on improving the quality of vocational education in the scope of work practices through the Teaching Factory. This program also supports the link and match between vocational education and industry needs as well as the empowerment of the surrounding community.

Abstract

Nagari Aia Batumbuak, known as a cold, snow-free village, has a geographically suitable environment for cultivating various types of horticultural crops. These conditions are also excellent for the growth of various types of flowers. However, flower cultivation has so far been limited to hobbies and personal collections. Therefore, it has great potential to be developed into a new tourist destination to increase community income. One type of flower that can be used is the sunflower, which has wide adaptation to various conditions. The purpose of this activity is to develop a new tourist destination based on a sunflower garden in Nagari Aie Batumbuak Solok. The implementation of this activity will be integrated with the activities of the 2025 Regular KKN II students using socialization methods and direct field practice. The results obtained from the implementation of this activity are the availability of a location to be used for the development of a flower garden based on a site survey before the activity. The next activity will be a socialization of the potential for developing a flower garden in Nagari Aie Batumbuak and its potential to be used as a new tourist destination. The existing location is then designed according to the land conditions, then the placement of each element such as the location of beds, ditches, paths, and gazebos is arranged. The planting site was then cleared and cultivated according to the design. Afterward, a sunflower cultivation awareness campaign was conducted and a sunflower planting demonstration was held at the flower garden development site.

Abstract

This community service program was carried out to strengthen the economic independence of former inmates from the Ciamis Class IIB Correctional Facility by developing small businesses based on spinach-processed products. The program emphasized two main aspects: improving packaging quality with modern and marketable designs, and enhancing marketing strategies through digital platforms. The mentoring process was conducted gradually, starting with technical training in product processing, hands-on practice in designing hygienic and attractive packaging, and the application of promotional strategies using social media and online marketplaces. The outcomes revealed noticeable improvements in participants’ capacity to manage small businesses, particularly in producing market-ready packaging and promoting products through digital channels to reach wider consumers. Beyond the economic benefits, the program also fostered greater self-confidence, independence, and contributed to the social reintegration process of former inmates into the community.

Abstract

Tuna fisheries are a vital sector in Ternate City; however, the processing of tuna produces large amounts of bone waste that remain underutilized. This waste poses environmental risks while representing a lost economic opportunity. The Poklahsar Bubulla group currently processes tuna meat into shredded fish products, while the bones are discarded. Therefore, an outreach program was conducted to improve community knowledge on efficient and innovative utilization of tuna bone waste. The activity was carried out on August 2025, in Jambula Village, Ternate City, involving 10 Poklahsar Bubulla members. The method applied was interactive counseling through presentations, group discussions, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ understanding, with the average pre-test score of 63.6% increasing to 91.0% in the post-test, resulting in an N-gain of 0.75 (high category). Participants responded positively, demonstrating enthusiasm in discussions and gaining new awareness of the economic and environmental potential of tuna bone waste utilization. In conclusion, this counseling activity effectively enhanced knowledge and motivation among fish processors to develop innovative uses of tuna bone waste.

Abstract

UMKMs significantly contribute to local food security and the economy. However, many business actors still face challenges in accessing digital markets, managing business processes efficiently, and utilizing information technology. This digital gap weakens product competitiveness. To address this issue, this community engagement program aims to enhance the competitiveness of food UMKMs in Manyaran, Semarang through business incubation digitalization using the e-Inkubator platform. The method involved socialization, technical training on the platform, digital business process mentoring, and evaluation of the program’s impact on UMKM performance.The results show a significant improvement in digital capabilities, particularly in financial recordkeeping, online promotion, and inventory management. Around 85% of participants operated the platform independently, and 60% began marketing their products digitally. Product branding improved in terms of packaging design and promotional storytelling. Partners expressed high satisfaction with the program, as reflected in surveys and structured interviews.This activity effectively increased UMKM competitiveness through a structured and applicable digital business incubation approach.
