Abstract

Based on the purpose of this service, it provides knowledge and skills in small games in PJOK for physical education students who will carry out PLP in schools, so that later students apply skills in small games creatively and innovatively in every lesson and the methods in this activity used are lectures and questions and answers, demonstrations and practices. In the implementation of this activity by conveying explanations related to small games and forms of exercise with practice in the field. Evaluation summarises events in activities related to the situation and input for these activities, the results of the activity that students gain understanding related to making various modifications and making creations in small games for that prospective PE teacher students at PGRI Jombang University must always be creative in making fun learning materials according to the development of their students.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) is currently very rapid and dynamic, leading to advanced products that are highly sought after by the global community. Innovations in ICT have permeated various fields, including education, through the integration of flexible technology-based learning media that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. One of the advancements in multimedia in education is Virtual Reality (VR), which allows for deep interaction with digital objects in a virtual reality environment. VR can simulate an ideal environment with intense visual and auditory stimulation. SMK Telkom in Pekanbaru, which offers various vocational programs, currently only implements ICT-based education at a basic level, limited to theory and practice. To enhance creativity in the teaching and learning process, innovative solutions are needed, such as the application of VR-based multimedia technology. This training aims to introduce VR as a tool to improve the learning outcomes and achievements of students at SMK Telkom Pekanbaru. Problem identification reveals that the teaching and learning activities are not fully ICT-based, there is a lack of information regarding multimedia, and limited innovation can affect learning effectiveness. Therefore, the community service team formulated the problem of how the introduction of VR can enhance multimedia creativity and learning outcomes at SMK Telkom Pekanbaru.

Abstract

The community service activities carried out have the aim that students have an understanding and knowledge related to the components of physical conditions and how to form training in volleyball, in the game of volleyball physical conditions as the main support for everyone in playing volleyball because it will have a positive impact on everyone to get good achievements, in the implementation of this activity using lecture, question and answer methods and demonstrations and practice, for this reason the implementation of this service students will get an explanation of material about physical conditions in volleyball which consists of endurance, strength, speed, agility, and explosive power. Every implementation of service activities there is an evaluation with the aim of being able to summarise related to the activity situation and also the suggestions obtained from the activity, in the results of this service activity with an increased understanding of students related to the physical condition material of volleyball that has been explained. For this reason, it can be concluded that the explanation of the physical condition material has a positive impact on a student's understanding and knowledge in the sport of volleyball.

Abstract

The Interactive Multimedia Training for Teachers in the Watershed Area aimed to enhance teachers' competencies in utilizing interactive multimedia technology in teaching. The training was designed to address educational challenges in watershed areas, which require innovative and relevant approaches in the teaching process. The training methods included both theoretical and practical sessions, with materials covering the introduction of multimedia software, techniques for creating interactive learning media, and the application of technology in the context of environmental education. The results of the training showed that participating teachers were also able to develop multimedia-based teaching materials that are more engaging and contextual for students. This initiative is expected to serve as a model for teacher competency development in other regions with similar geographical conditions, and contribute to the improvement of technology-based education quality in Indonesia, particularly in watershed areas. The training marks a significant initial step in supporting the integration of technology in education and environmental conservation efforts through contextual learning.

Abstract

Jenjang karir bagi seorang guru merupakan hal yang harus menjadi perhatian. Sebagian besar guru masih memiliki jenjang karir rendah. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan jenjang karir guru melalui Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dan menulis artikel berbantuan Artificial Intelengence (AI) untuk diterbitkan di jurnal nasional terakreditasi. Untuk itu dilakukan pendampingan penulisan dan publikasi artikel PTK berbantuan AI dalam rangka percepatan jenjang karir guru. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah dan demonstrasi secara tatap muka dan pendampingan untuk penggunanan AI untuk pembuatan artikelnya. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 4 Siak Hulu Kampar secara umum terlaksana dengan sukses dan lancar. Sebagian besar guru sudah bisa mengoperasikan penggunaan AI nya dalam menulis artikel. Para peserta sangat antusias mendengarkan materi yang disampaikan, bertanya langsung mengenai pelaksanaan PTK di dalam kelas, bagaimana menggunakan AI dan menulis artikel PTK dan mempublikasikannya. Peserta yang hadir sebanyak 42 orang. Berdasarkan hasil lembar angket, 92.23% guru tertarik dengan materi yang disampaikan. Guru-guru merasa termotivasi untuk melaksanakan PTK di kelasnya dan membuat artikel untuk dipublikasikan. Mitra juga sangat puas dengan adanya kegiatan workshop ini dan minta untuk diadakan lagi kegiatan tersebut.

Abstract

SMPN 35 Pekanbaru belum menerapkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (ICT) secara maksimal dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga banyak guru yang masih mengandalkan metode pengajaran tradisional. Hal ini menunjukkan perlunya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan interaktif. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru-guru SMPN 35 Pekanbaru dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran berbantuan ICT, khususnya melalui aplikasi PowerPoint dan Adobe Animate, yang dapat membantu guru menyusun materi ajar yang lebih menarik dan dinamis. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada 3 Desember 2024 dan terdiri dari beberapa sesi pelatihan yang melibatkan paparan materi, demonstrasi, serta sesi praktik langsung. Alur kegiatan dimulai dengan sesi pembukaan yang dipandu oleh mahasiswa, dilanjutkan dengan pembacaan doa, kata sambutan dari kepala SMPN 35 Pekanbaru dan perwakilan dosen Universitas Islam Riau, serta materi dari beberapa dosen yang membahas topik-topik seperti pentingnya penggunaan ICT dalam pembelajaran, penerapan teknologi dalam kelas, pembuatan media ajar menggunakan Adobe Animate, dan berpikir komputasi dalam media ajar digital. Kegiatan diakhiri dengan sesi tanya jawab untuk memperdalam pemahaman peserta. Kesimpulan dari PkM ini adalah bahwa kegiatan pelatihan berjalan dengan baik dan berhasil memberikan pemahaman baru kepada para guru tentang penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan bagi peserta, dengan meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam proses pembelajaran, serta memotivasi mereka untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik dan interaktif bagi siswa.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to encourage teachers to utilize information and communication technology (ICT) to improve the use of learning methods, so that the learning process becomes more interactive and interesting through the development of ICT-assisted teaching materials at MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. This workshop involved 33 teachers and was held on November 30, 2024. The stages of the activity include preparation, implementation, discussion, and Q&A. This PkM activity succeeded in achieving its goal of motivating teachers to maximize the use of technology in learning through the development of teaching materials, even though there were challenges that had to be faced. The evaluation results showed a positive response from teachers.

Abstract

This community service project aims to introduce an innovative approach to enhancing English learning motivation at SDN 02 Tualang, through storytelling using ventriloquist techniques with hand puppets. The ventriloquist technique involves using the diaphragm to produce speech while animating hand puppets that possess distinct character personalities to narrate stories in English. This storytelling method can create an engaging learning atmosphere, encourage student participation, and improve students' speaking skills and confidence. This community service project was conducted at SDN 02 Tualang in Siak Regency, involving 200 students from grades 1 to 4. The results of the project indicate that storytelling using ventriloquist techniques positively impacts students' motivation to learn English.

Abstract

The implementation of community service activities aims to care for the environment, build character to reduce plastic waste in SMP Negeri 9 Pekanbaru. The method used with the socialization stage, the counseling stage, the stage of implementing the outcome of the service and the monitoring and evaluation stage using an environmental care questionnaire consisting of one indicator, with 8 subindicators and 26 statements using the google form Community service has been carried out on students of SMP Negeri 9 Pekanbaru, in grade VIII with a total of 40 people. The scope of material in this activity about caring for the environment includes; caring, awareness, involvement, responsibility, exemplary, cooperation, courage and social concern. Provided with google form. Data was obtained from a questionnaire that was distributed on average to care for the environment with a score of 79% in the caring category. With the education provided, it is hoped that students can personally build a better character about caring for the environment and can apply it in real life and can be realized in daily behavior. So that becoming more appreciative and loving for the environment can reduce environmental damage that comes from plastic waste pollution. It can be concluded that caring for the environment builds character to reduce plastic waste for students of SMP Negeri 9 Pekanbaru category cares.

Abstract

Students who participate in community service projects are expected to develop moral character in addition to scholastic aptitude. Instilling moral principles that can mold pupils' personalities and characters and be used in everyday situations is the major objective. by spreading awareness of the value of developing moral character in day-to-day interactions. The development of morally and ethically sound attitudes and behaviors, such as honesty, accountability, discipline, empathy, and teamwork, is the main goal of character education. These principles serve as the cornerstone for developing people who possess both high moral standards and intellectual prowess. Character education can be implemented in a number of ways, including by incorporating character values into the curriculum, extracurricular activities, and community-based social learning activities like parent-teacher training or mutual cooperation. In order to create better, more responsible people, it is intended that SMP PGRI Pekanbaru students will be better able to comprehend and practice character education. According to the findings of the conducted interviews, the school has responded well to the service projects that have been carried out.
