Abstract

Respiratory system disease diagnosis often faces challenges in ensuring the accuracy of results due to the complexity of overlapping symptoms. In particular, a method is needed that is able to handle data uncertainty and utilize existing evidence optimally. This study aims to compare two methods, namely Bayes' Theorem and Dempster-Shafer, in diagnosing three types of respiratory diseases: Asthma, Tuberculosis, and Bronchitis. The solution is done by analyzing the percentage of confidence produced by each method based on symptom data. The results show that Bayes' Theorem produces the highest confidence for Tuberculosis (74.92%), while Dempster-Shafer provides the highest confidence for Bronchitis (80%). This comparison indicates that the selection of methods must be adjusted to the characteristics of the data and the needs of the analysis. This study contributes to providing insight into the advantages and disadvantages of each method, which can be used as a reference in developing a more accurate disease diagnosis decision support system.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the growing trend among various entities, including government organizations and private companies, in using social media platforms for communication strategies within the overall organizational environment. This phenomenon is widely regarded as a favourable development due to the inherent openness of the Web 2.0 environment, which allows for the dissemination of information and the facilitation of active engagement, discourse, and the creation of online communities. Nevertheless, the optimistic perspective on the advantages of social media communication in organizations ignores potential conflicts between the principles of openness associated with Web 2.0 and organizational management strategies and practices. This research aims to investigate the utilization of social media by several organizations in Indonesia. A qualitative approach was applied to generate the research findings by conducting in-depth interviews with informants from the research object and various social media specialists. These interviews aimed to explore methods for resolving conflicts between the nature of social media and organizations' strategic and managerial aspects. Specifically, this research focuses on addressing conflicts related to control and governance. The research results suggest a potential path for further exploration in the field of public communication, particularly in aligning organizational goals with the needs of online communities.

Abstract

The development of technology and information requires the world of education to always adjust to improve the quality of education. Improving educational performance will require information systems and information technology in the future, which not only serves as a supporting tool, but can be a very important tool to support the success of the world of education so that it can compete in the global world. Competency development is something that should be done by all professionals, including teachers. One of the challenges for teachers and developers of educational technology is to make innovative learning fun and not boring for students. Teacher competence in creating interesting and creative material affects teacher success in helping students achieve better learning outcomes. One of the uses of technology in learning is to use the Canva application. Training using the Canva application was carried out at SMPN 1 Majene. The participants who participated in this activity were 31 teachers. The purpose of the series of activities carried out is to provide training to teachers to use the Canva application. This training was also conducted based on observations, interviews, and surveys conducted with the school. The output of the series of activities carried out is that teachers gain new insights or refreshes about the Canva application so that they can use the Canva application to create interesting and creative learning materials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengelolaan program studi Bahasa Arab yang diselenggarakan di Universitas Hasyim Asyari Jomang. Dalam pengumpulan data peneliti menggunakan wawancara observasi dan dokumen sedangkan analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dengan tiga proses yaitu reduksi data penyajian data dan analisis kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ahwa pelaksanaan manajemen program Bahasa Arab di Institut Bahasa Asing Universitas Hasyim Asyari Jomang erjalan dengan lancar memenuhi fungsi manajemen dengan bbaik yaitu perencanaan dan pengorganisasian. manuver dan pemantauan, serta implementasi yang terkait dengan komponen manajemen program Bahasa Arab. Pemelajaran Bahasa Arab di Institut Bahasa Asing UNHASY mengutamakan mahasiswa untuk aktif erlatih memangun pola kalimat Bahasa Arab dalam semua keterampilan Bahasa. Menggunakan produk panduan pengguna akademi Bahasa UNHASY dalam waktu yang relatif singkat akan mencapai tujuan elajar Bahasa Arab dari semua keterampilan. Meskipun masih ada celah yang perlu diperbaiki terutama dari segi keutuhan pengguna dan manajemen waktu. Namun pemelajaran Bahasa Arab di lemaga Bahasa asing UNHASY merupakan program yang baik dan dapat menjadi standar untuk menjalankan program pemelajaran Bahasa Arab di lemaga Bahasa asing.

Abstract

The Head of the Study Program is one of the most important parts of a university. The Head of the Study Program is also the highest leader within the study program structure. The role of the Head of the Study Program is as an organizational unit that is responsible for the administration of the study program they lead. The Head of the Study Program is tasked with coordinating all study program activities, as well as managing lecture schedules, practicum schedules, and lecture evaluation results. The selection of the Head of the Study Program requires precise accuracy to avoid errors in the selection process. The stability of a study program heavily depends on the role and reputation of its lecturers, especially the lecturer responsible for the core courses of that study program. Therefore, the participation of lecturers is highly necessary in the selection of the Head of the Study Program. Since the higher education management is also interested in the selection process, methodological assistance is needed to accommodate the aspirations of the lecturers and the interests of the university management. The reward system is a crucial element for motivation toward a better direction, aiming to further increase performance. This reward system is expected to encourage the performance of the Head of the Study Program to be more productive, so that the vision and mission for achieving the development of a university can be properly attained and implemented.

Abstract

Tindak pidana penggelapan pajak merupakan bentuk economic crime yang memiliki karakteristik khusus, baik dari segi pembuktian maupun pemidanaannya, karena secara langsung berdampak pada kerugian keuangan negara. Salah satu problematika yang sering muncul dalam praktik peradilan pidana pajak adalah penerapan pidana denda yang sangat besar dengan ancaman pidana kurungan sebagai subsider apabila denda tersebut tidak dibayarkan. Kondisi ini menimbulkan perdebatan terkait keadilan substantif, efektivitas pemidanaan, serta kesesuaiannya dengan tujuan hukum pidana perpajakan yang pada dasarnya lebih mengedepankan pemulihan kerugian negara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dasar pertimbangan hukum Majelis Hakim dalam menjatuhkan pidana denda dan pidana kurungan subsider dalam perkara penggelapan pajak, serta menilai relevansi putusan tersebut dalam konteks perkembangan hukum perpajakan pasca perubahan Undang-Undang Ketentuan Umum dan Tata Cara Perpajakan melalui Undang-Undang Harmonisasi Peraturan Perpajakan. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode yuridis normatif yang didukung dengan pendekatan yuridis empiris. Data diperoleh melalui studi kepustakaan dan wawancara dengan hakim yang memeriksa dan mengadili perkara a quo serta akademisi di bidang hukum pidana dan hukum administrasi negara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pidana kurungan subsider dalam perkara penggelapan pajak pada saat putusan dijatuhkan merupakan konsekuensi formil dari ketentuan hukum yang berlaku, namun secara substantif masih menimbulkan persoalan keadilan dan efektivitas pemidanaan.

Abstract

Degenerative diseases are often caused by exposure to free radicals, and antioxidants play an important role in maintaining body stability by counteracting them. Kelakai (Stenochlaena palustris), a typical plant of Kalimantan, contains bioactive compounds such as phenolics and flavonoids, making it a potential source of natural antioxidants. This study aims to determine the results of antioxidant activity tests on kelakai leaf kombucha. Kombucha was chosen because its antioxidant activity is influenced by the phenolic content formed during fermentation, potentially becoming an antioxidant-rich probiotic drink. The antioxidant activity test of kelakai leaf kombucha used the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) method. The results of determining the maximum absorption wavelength of 0.1 mM DPPH were at 515 nm with the highest absorption of 0.602. The antioxidant activity test using quercetin as a comparison resulted in an IC₅₀ value of 3.0892 ppm. This quercetin IC₅₀ value is included in the very strong category (<50 ppm). Meanwhile, the antioxidant activity test on kelakai leaf kombucha yielded an IC₅₀ value of 0.5845 ppm. This value also indicates that kelakai leaf kombucha has very strong antioxidant activity. Increasing sample concentration is directly proportional to the increase in antioxidant activity, as indicated by a decrease in the absorption value. Therefore, the development of kelakai leaf kombucha and testing its antioxidant activity are expected to produce innovative functional food products.
