Abstract

Introduction: From the initial interviews conducted by three mothers, they said that health workers had never conducted outreach to the public about the importance of immunization and the negative impact on the baby's condition if they were not fully immunized, so each region needed to study the factors that influence this. Implementation of immunizations including in the West Wonggeduku Community Health Center area. Method: The type of research sample in this study is quantitative research using a cross sectional study approach which aims to determine the relationship between the complete basic immunization status of 12 Month old babies based on the health belief model theory at the West Wonggeduku Community Health Center in 2022. The population is 120 people, with a sample of 92 people. The sampling technique in this research used the Simple Random Sampling technique, using the Chi-Square Statistical test. Results: Research shows that there is a relationship between perception susceptibility to the completeness of complete basic immunization status X2 count = 34.389, X2 table value = 3.841, and Phi value = 0.611 Conclusion: The results of this research are that there is a relationship between perception susceptibility and completeness of immunization in 12 Month old babies

Abstract

Introduction: HIV/AIDS remains a serious problem both in Indonesia as a whole and specifically in Southeast Sulawesi. The primary way to address HIV/AIDS is through treatment. Numerous factors make it challenging to predict the causes of compliance and non-compliance among HIV/AIDS patients in seeking treatment. Therefore, research is needed to develop interventions aimed at improving treatment compliance among HIV/AIDS patients. This study aims to analyze factors related to the behavior of treatment compliance among HIV/AIDS patients in the city of Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Method: This research is a quantitative study with an analytical research design. The method used is a Cross-Sectional Study. The sample size of 88 individuals. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire technique. Descriptive analysis was performed using frequency distribution tables, while inferential analysis utilized the Chi-square test and/or Fisher's Exact Test. Results: The research findings indicate that only 2 factors (perception of disease severity and health worker attitudes) are related to treatment compliance, while the other 6 factors (perceived benefits of treatment, perceived barriers to treatment, family support, health counselor support, drug availability, and health education) show no association and have no detected connection. The most dominance factor is the healthcare worker attitude. Conclusion : The conclusion of this research is that perception of diseases severity and healthcare worker attitude is the 2 variabel that have connection with treatment adherence and need improvement to keep the patient and improve their treatment.

Abstract

Introduction:A preliminary survey conducted showed that there were health workers who had poor attitudes and personalities in providing services. Apart from that, his ability and work experience do not guarantee that he can provide satisfaction to patients. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between finances and knowledge and the performance of health workers based on the Malcom Baldrige criteria in the Kendari City Hospital Inpatient Unit. Method:This research is quantitative using a Cross Sectional Study design, with a population of 101 people and a sample of 81 respondents using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. Result:The chi square statistical test at the 95% confidence level (α=0.05) shows that the p value = 0.001 because Ho is rejected or Ha is accepted, which means there is a relationship between finances and performance and the chi square statistical test is at the 95% confidence level (α=0 .05) shows that the p value = 0.001 because Ho is rejected or Ha is accepted, which means there is a relationship between knowledge and the performance of health workers at the Kendari City Hospital Inpatient Unit. Conclusion: There is a relationship between Finance and Knowledge and the Performance of Health Workers based on the Malcom Baldrige Criteria in the Kendari City Hospital Inpatient Unit.

Abstract

Introduction: Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in babies (0-11 months) and toddlers (12-59 months) resulting from chronic malnutrition, especially in the first 1,000 days of life so that the child is too short for his age. Malnutrition occurs when the baby is in the womb and in the early days after the baby is born, but stunting only appears after the child is two years old. This research aims to find out about the Stunting Incident Prediction Model in the Coastal Area of ​​Muna Regency. Method: This type of research is quantitative using a cross-sectional design (Cross Sectional Study). The sample in this study was 322 mothers who had toddlers aged 12-59 months in the coastal area of ​​Muna Regency. Result: Results: Of the 322 normal toddlers, there were 258 toddlers or (80.1%) and 64 stunted toddlers or (19.9%). Of the 322 respondents who had good feeding practices, there were 283 respondents or (87.9%) and those who had poor feeding practices were 39 respondents or (12.1%). Of the 322 respondents whose hygiene practices were good, there were 186 respondents or (57.8%) and those with poor hygiene practices were 136 respondents or (42.2%). Conclusion: The nutritional status of children under five is very important to pay attention to because it has a large and long-lasting impact on the child's health status, physical and mental development as well as the child's productivity as an adult.

Abstract

Introduction: Based on the initial data collection, the factors that are obstacles or problems so that the Family Health Index in Konawe Islands Regency has not increased or has not become a healthy status, these factors include knowledge, resources, financing/funding, policies, facilities and infrastructure and so on. For this reason, researchers are interested in conducting research on "The Relationship between Knowledge and Resources of Officers and the Achievement of the Healthy Family Index in Konawe Islands Regency". Method: This type of research is quantitative research with a Cross Sectional Study approach, which was conducted at 8 Health Centers in Konawe Islands Regency. The population was 163 officers and the sample was 100 samples with Simple Random Sampling determination, descriptive and inferential data analysis. Result: The results of the Fisher's Exact Test statistical test at a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05) show that the Fisher's Exact Test p = 0.001 < 0.05 value of X2table = 3.841 and the results of the chi square statistical test of officer resources at a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05) show that the X2count value = 14.710 > X2table value = 3.841, Conclusion: There is a weak relationship between the knowledge and resources of officers with the healthy family index in Konawe Islands Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province.

Abstract

Introduction:The Regional Unit Hospital of West Muna Regency continues to strive to improve the quality of service by preparing the implementation of qualifications and education of medical personnel. The purpose of this study was to analyze the readiness of the Hospital in implementing qualifications and readiness of medical personnel according to the assessment elements of KPS 10 accreditation standards at the Regional Unit Hospital of West Muna Regency. Method:This study uses a qualitative method with a case study design, the informants in this study were 16 people from government agencies, professional organizations, personnel, medical committees and doctors at the Muna Barat District Regional Unit Hospital. Furthermore, interviews were conducted using interview guidelines. Result:The results of this study indicate that the Regional Unit Hospital of West Muna Regency is ready to implement the qualifications and education of medical personnel according to the assessment elements of KPS 10 accreditation standards. The results of the interview found that in the five components of KPS 10 accreditation standards, namely credentials and medical personnel at the Regional Unit Hospital of West Muna Regency. Conclusion: The Muna Barat District Regional Unit Hospital is ready to implement the qualifications and education of medical personnel according to the KPS 10 accreditation standard assessment elements.

Abstract

Introduction:Leprosy can cause health problems in the form of permanent disability. Disability due to leprosy is not only physical which has an impact on daily activities and social participation, but also economic and psychological. The stigma of society towards leprosy sufferers can cause negative feelings of leprosy sufferers such as being embarrassed to socialize with the surrounding community to isolating themselves. The purpose of this study was to see the factors that influence the formation of public stigma towards leprosy sufferers in East Kolaka Regency. Method:This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with an exploratory research type by conducting direct observation and in-depth interviews. The subjects were all people in Ladongi District and Aere District, East Kolaka Regency, the determination of informants in this study was carried out through purposive sampling techniques. Result:Factors that influence the stigma of society towards leprosy in Kolaka Regency occur due to the lack of public knowledge regarding leprosy, the existence of a culture and tradition of society that avoids or even labels leprosy sufferers with negative things, public concerns about the transmission of leprosy when they are close to or live side by side with leprosy sufferers, and the influence of religion and community beliefs that consider leprosy sufferers as a punishment from God for the sins they have committed. Conclusion: Leprosy sufferers need support from the community and family, so that they have the confidence to undergo treatment, thereby reducing the prevalence of leprosy in East Kolaka Regency.

Abstract

Backgrounds:Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is one of the infectious diseases that has high morbidity and morality rates. Based on data obtained from the Kendari City Health Office, it is known that the prevalence of DHF in Kendari City in 2021 was 211 cases of DHF. In 2022, there were 230 cases of DHF. In 2023, the number of cases was 253 people. Methods:This type of research isquantitative descriptive with a spatial approach.The population in the study was 8,100 respondents with a sample of 99 respondents using a sampling technique.cluster sampling. The analysis used univariate analysis, and spatial analysis and was testedusing the Chi-square test. Results: Of the total 99 respondents, there were 7 cases of DHF, with 3 cases each in Puuwatu and Punggolaka Villages, and 1 case in Watulondo Village. Of the total 99 respondents, there were 34 respondents who did not reach the ABJ target with the most respondents from Punggolaka Village, 11 respondents. Of the 99 respondents, there were 17 respondents who did not meet the housing density requirements with the most respondents from Watulondo Village, 6 respondents. Of the 99 respondents, there were 43 respondents who had poor waste management with the most respondents from Punggolaka Village, 14 respondents. Conclusion:The incidence of DHF in the Puuwatu Health Center working area was in Puuwatu Village as many as 3, Punggolaka Village as many as 3 and Watulondo Village as many as 1.

Abstract

Penyakit ginjal kronis masih menjadi permasalahan di Sulawesi Tenggara, termasuk di Kelurahan Abeli, Kecamatan Abeli, Kota Kendari. Hal ini bisa dilihat dari faktor risikonya yaitu seperti penyakit hipertensi yang tinggi di wilayah tersebut. Masih banyak masyarakat di Kelurahan Abeli yang belum memahami secara detil apa tanda-tanda, penyebab dan cara pencegahan terhadap penyakit Ginjal Kronis. Oleh karena itu, masyarakat di Kelurahan Abeli harus diberdayakan baik pengetahuan maupun perilakunya. Pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam rangka meningkatkan pengetahuan dan perilaku kearah pencegahan penyakit ginjal kronis, maka pada bulan mei 2024 dilakukan penyuluhan kesehatan dan mendorong peningkatan aktifitas fisik. Penyuluhan kelompok dilakukan sambil memberikan leaflet ke peserta penyuluhan tentang penyakit ginjal kronis. Sedangkan aktifitas fisik berupa pendorongan melakukan senam sehat rutin secara berkelompok. Pemberdayaan dilakukan kepada 27 orang ibu PKK Kelurahan Abeli, yang berusia antara 33-69 tahun. Hasil pemberdayaan kepada 27 orang menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta berpendikan SMP (35.3%), dan selebihnya berpendidikan SMA (23.5%), Sarjana (17.6%) sarjana, 11.8% SD, dan 11.8% tidak sekolah. Penyuluhan kesehatan dengan leaflet menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pengetahuan peserta tentang penyakit ginjal kronis (p value<0.0001). Pengetahuan rata-rata sebelum penyuluhan Kesehatan yaitu 3,94 ± SD.2.08 dan setelah penyuluhan Kesehatan meningkat rata-rata menjadi 9.18 ± SD 1.02. Kelompok senam sehat jantung sehat sudah terbentuk dan melakukan senam secara rutin pada hari Jum’at pagi di Kantor Kelurahan Abeli. Pemberdayaan masyarakat di Kelurahan Abeli bisa meningkatkan pengetahuan dan perilaku kearah pencegahan penyakit ginjal kronis. Pengetahuan masyarakat meningkat dan aktifitas fisik secara rutin dilakukan dengan cara senam jantung sehat setiap minggu sekali secara bersama-sama.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a health problem in all parts of the world and is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Konawe Regency is in second place after Muna as a district with the most hypertension sufferers in Southeast Sulawesi. The purpose of this study was to analyze the incidence of hypertension in the coastal area of Konawe Regency. Methods: This type of research uses quantitative methods with a case control study design. The population in this study amounted to 1,398 people, with a sample of 218 people. In this study, sampling was carried out by Cluster Sampling, with statistical tests using Odds Ratio. Results: The results of the OR 95% CI statistical test showed that there was a relationship between genetics (OR=3.204), salt consumption habits (OR=2.791), physical activity (OR=4.497), stress levels (OR=2.603), and smoking habits (OR=6.201) to the incidence of hypertension in the coastal area of Konawe Regency. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the risk factors for hypertension in the coastal area of Konawe Regency include genetics, salt consumption habits, physical activity, stress levels, and smoking habits. It is hoped that the health centre  will collaborate with cross-sectors that are closest to the community such as health cadres and others, in efforts to detect here as well as counseling hypertension and certain other non-communicable diseases.
