Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan mendemistifikasi roasting yang disampaikan komika terhadap orang lain dalam bentuk komedi atau lawakan. Roasting bisa tentang kebiasaan atau kejelekan seseorang. Roasting juga bisa disampaikan dalam rangka memuji seseorang dengan lawakan atau kelucuan. Secara spesifik, permasalahan kajian ini dirumuskan sebagai: (1) Strategi retorika dan stuktur teks apakah yang digunakan dalam membangun tema? (2) Kognisi sosial apakah yang dapat teridentifikasi melalui respons audiens terhadap roasting komika? (3) Konteks sosial apakah yang dapat dibangun sebagai respon atas Roasting komika ? Objek kajian yang berupa teks lisan transaksional yang disampaikan oleh komika video tik-tok Lapor Pak “Kiky Saputri Roasting Ganjar Pranowo”, dalam cuplikan acaranya, Lapor Pak! sang komika menyinggung soal kampanye politisi, diambil secara acak dan dianalisis dengan pendekatan studi wacana kritis oleh Teun A. Van Dijk, teknik bebas libat cakap, dan metode padan ekstralingual. Temuan kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa Kiky Saputri menggunakan retorika epideiktik berupa satu kesatuan dalam struktur teks (joke map), terdiri dari 13 sub-goal yang masing-masing memuat 3 fase, yaitu: premise, set-up dan punchline. Sementara itu, kognisi berupa alusi dan Roasting kerasnya komika terbukti berada dalam lingkup pengetahuan audiens melalui applause. Selanjutnya konteks sosial-Roasting komika dibangun untuk menjelaskan latar belakang budaya dan usaha-usaha komika untuk mereduksi Roasting tersebut. Dengan demikian kajian ini memiliki kontribusi signifikan terhadap penambahan khasanah kebahasaan terkait dengan aktivitas kebahasaan Roasting.

Abstract

Reading is one way that can be used as a basis in shaping learning. Literacy and numeracy skills are abilities that must be possessed and become demands in 21st century learning. The service program was carried out for seven months, beginning with the completion of the program in March, and the implementation of the service in August-September. This service activity is carried out with a classical approach, namely by delivering material about Riau Malay ethnomathematics which will later be used as a reference for teachers to write stories in books that will be used as Audible Books. Based on the training that has been carried out, it is concluded that the community service activities that have been carried out are running smoothly, the teachers are also very enthusiastic and motivated in writing stories with the theme of Malay culture. From this training activity, five picture books were produced with the theme of Malay culture.

Abstract

The aim of this research, which was carried out using a quasi-experimental design, was to determine whether the different variables used were successful or not. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using stop motion video in determining grades as an implementation of saga text learning in SMA/SMK/MA. This research is a quasi-experiment. The effectiveness of using stop motion video in determining grades as an implementation of saga text learning in SMA/SMK/MA between classes that were treated using stop motion video and without using stop motion video. Written tests and multiple choice exams were used to evaluate success in this research. Both the experimental class which was treated using stop motion video to determine the value of the saga, and the control class who were not treated were given this test before and after the learning process was carried out. The results of this research show that the experimental group treatment which used stop motion video to determine the value of the saga was superior to the control group treatment which did not use stop motion video.

Abstract

Pemilihan Umum atau pemilu adalah bentuk nyata dari praktik demokrasi di Indonesia. Partisipasi masyarakat dalam Pemilu tidak hanya orang yang sudah tua, tetapi suara dari kaum milenial dan generasi Z sebagai pemilih pemula sangat penting dan dibutuhkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat bagaimana perbedaan beberapa berita yang ditampilkan di media terkait dengan peran pemilih pemula dalam kontestan pemilihan umum di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan metode analisis yang digunakan yaitu menurut teori analisis wacana kritis Norman Fairclough. Adapun hasil dari analisisnya yaitu dari kelima berita ditemukan kecenderungan membahas peran pemilih muda dalam kontestasi Pemilu serentak dua ribu dua puluh empat menjadi objek utama pemberitaan. Media menitikberatkan pemilih muda generasi milenial dan Z berada di rentang usia tujuh belas hingga tiga puluh sembilan tahun menjadi penentu pemenangan bagi partai politik dengan lebih dari enam puluh persen suara, dan juga empat di antara berita tersebut, di dalamnya membahas terkait media sosial menjadi senjata yang ampuh untuk menggaet pemilih pemula.

Abstract

Indonesia saat ini sedang memasuki periode kontestasi politik. Narasi-narasi politik pun dihadirkan dari para calon legislatif, calon presiden, maupun pengamat-pengamat politik di Indonesia turut menjadi bunga-bunga percakapan hangat dalam panggung perpolikan di Indonesia hari ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan analisis mendalam tentang struktur wacana dalam pidato politik bakal calon presiden Anies Rasyid Baswedan yang diusung oleh partai NasDem pada Apel Siaga partai NasDem dengan pendekatan Van Dijk. Adapun jenis dari penelitian ini deskriptif analisis dengan model Van Dijk. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa struktur makro dalam teks pidato politik Anies Rasyid Baswedan adalah Mengusung Perubahan. Pada analisis superstruktur teks, pidato Anies Rasyid Baswedan tersusun sedara sistematis serta menjadi elemen dan strategis yang tepat bagi kader partai NasDem untuk mencari dukungan dalam proses kampanye politik. Dalam konteks struktur mikro atau semantik pidato Anies Rasyid Baswedan dapat dilihat berdasarkan elemen latar, detail, pra-anggapan dan nominalisasi pada bagian semantik

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan wacana terhadap Lirik lagu yang menjadi media penyampaian pesan pencipta lagu merupakan bentuk curahan perasaan dan pikiran pribadi sang pencipta lagu, begitu pula lagu Ayah Ibu yang dibawakan oleh band beraliran pop-punk asal kota gudeg Jokjakarta, Karnamereka. Lagu ini cukup ekspresif dan reaksioner dalam memandang kondisi sosial di Indonesia. Lagu yang dinyanyikan oleh Heroherda atau herda Bar’is Seto—vokalis Karnamereka—menjadi single ke-3 yang dipromosikan Karnamereka. Sebelumnya mereka sudah merilis lagu-lagu di album Let's Start Here serta album kedua yang berjudul Holahope. Seperti judulnya, lagu ini menjadi santapan pembuka untuk album barunya setelah Karnamereka absen merilis album dalam kurun waktu 10 tahun. Ayah Ibu dirilis pada 25 November 2022 lalu

Abstract

This study aims to develop a project-based short story reading module to improve 21st-century skills in junior high school students. In the Merdeka Curriculum, students are required to master the 4Cs—critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication—through active and meaningful learning. Short stories were chosen because of their simple structure, appeal, and ability to foster analytical skills and moral understanding. The project-based approach encourages students to engage in collaborative activities, problem solving, and creative work. The research used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. Data was obtained through pre-tests and post-tests as well as interviews with teachers and students. Expert validation of the material, language, media, and cultural aspects showed an average suitability of 93.98% (very suitable). Limited trials with 60 students showed a significant increase in 4C skills, especially collaboration and communication. Student responses showed an average of 87.5%, indicating that the module was easy to understand, increased interest in reading, and fostered confidence in presentations. Overall, this project-based short story reading module proved to be valid, practical, and effective in supporting the development of 21st-century skills and creating more engaging and meaningful reading learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs for developing instructional materials for teaching speech text writing to eighth-grade students in junior high schools (SMP/MTs). It focuses on identifying the gaps between existing materials and the actual needs of teachers and students to support effective and contextual speech-writing instruction. A descriptive qualitative method was employed through classroom observation, questionnaires, and document analysis involving Indonesian language teachers and eighth-grade students at MTs Baituddin Petapahan. The findings reveal a significant gap between the availability and the necessity of instructional resources, with 90% of teachers and 78% of students indicating the need for specialized materials, while only 25% of schools provide them. Existing materials were considered inadequate in terms of varied examples, language clarity, step-by-step guidance, and interactive exercises. Moreover, 83% of students reported difficulty understanding the content, and 72% noted insufficient practice opportunities. Although the visual design was rated moderately attractive, the materials lacked contextual relevance and substantive quality. In conclusion, the development of innovative, context-based materials that are visually appealing, structured, and enriched with diverse exercises is urgently required to improve students’ speech-writing skills. This study contributes theoretically by enriching the body of research on needs analysis in writing instruction, particularly in the context of speech text writing at the junior high school level, and practically by providing empirical evidence that can serve as a foundation for developing contextual, model-based, and learner-centered teaching materials. Recommendations include creating model-based instructional resources that incorporate local cultural values, authentic examples, and interactive digital media to enhance student engagement and instructional effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the rhetorical strategies employed in campaign banners of legislative candidates in the 2024 General Election in Pekanbaru City using the Aristotelian rhetorical framework of ethos, pathos, and logos. The study adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive method based on textual analysis of the verbal and visual messages contained in campaign banners. Data were collected through stratified purposive sampling and analyzed to identify the forms, dominant tendencies, and implications of rhetorical strategy use in visual-based political campaigning. The findings indicate that ethos is the most dominant rhetorical strategy. Candidates’ credibility is constructed through the emphasis on personal identity, political track records, social and local affiliation, religious legitimacy, and narratives of integrity and leadership responsibility. Pathos functions as a supporting strategy manifested through political promises, personal and religious appeals, as well as creative humor to establish emotional closeness with voters. Meanwhile, logos appears in a limited and simplified form, primarily through references to technocratic capacity and institutional functions, indicating the existence of rational constraints inherent in campaign banners as static visual media. This study concludes that the ethos–pathos–logos hierarchy in campaign banners is contextual and shaped by media characteristics as well as the social configuration of the local community.
