Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Group Counseling with a Transactional Analysis approach in overcoming aggressive behavior. The type of research used is library research, namely by reviewing and analyzing various relevant literature related to the topic of discussion. Transactional Analysis is an approach to counseling that emphasizes communication patterns between individuals as a reflection of a person's psychological condition. This approach is considered appropriate for group counseling because group dynamics provide space for individuals to interact and improve unhealthy transactional patterns. In this context, the form and method of communication displayed by group members are the main indicators for identifying and dealing with problems that arise, including aggressive behavior. Aggression itself is an individual's drive or tendency to hurt others, either physically, verbally, or psychologically. Through Transactional Analysis-based group counseling, individuals can be invited to recognize dominant ego states, manage emotions, and build healthier and more constructive communication. The results of the study indicate that this approach has great potential in helping individuals reduce aggressive behavior by increasing self-awareness and interpersonal skills. Keywords: Group Counseling, aggressive behavior, Transactional Analysis.

Abstract

Background. Hedonistic behavior among students is increasingly prevalent and poses a serious threat to academic discipline, financial responsibility, and moral development. This lifestyle, often characterized by excessive consumption, materialism, and instant gratification, can hinder students' focus and future orientation. Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is a structured and goal-oriented therapeutic approach that has shown effectiveness in modifying irrational beliefs and maladaptive behaviors. Purpose. This study aimed to determine the influence of group counseling using the CBT approach in reducing hedonistic behavior among students of SMK N 1 Koto Baru Dharmasraya. The research also sought to identify the specific aspects of hedonistic tendencies most affected by the intervention. Method. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The sample consisted of 20 students identified with high levels of hedonistic behavior, divided equally into experimental and control groups. The intervention consisted of six CBT-based group counseling sessions over three weeks. A validated hedonism behavior scale was administered before and after the sessions. Data were analyzed using paired t-tests and independent t-tests. Results. The results showed a significant decrease in hedonistic behavior scores in the experimental group after the counseling sessions, while the control group showed no significant change. Aspects such as impulsive spending, dependence on peer approval, and time mismanagement were notably reduced among the participants who received the intervention. Conclusion. Group counseling using the Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) approach is effective in reducing hedonistic behavior in vocational high school students. It is recommended that school counselors implement CBT-based group interventions as part of student guidance programs to promote self-control, delayed gratification, and responsible lifestyle choices.

Abstract

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a psychological condition that can affect anyone who has experienced a traumatic event, such as a natural disaster, violence, an accident, or war. A spiritual approach plays a significant role in the healing process by providing moral and psychological guidance in facing life’s trials. This article aims to examine the appropriate attitudes that Muslims should adopt in dealing with PTSD, using a descriptive qualitative approach based on a literature review. Improving one's relationship with Allah, engaging in self-introspection, and practicing positive thinking are strategies offered by Islam to cope with PTSD.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter merupakan proses penanaman kebiasaan baik untuk mampu memilah hal yang positif dan negatif, yang akan berdampak pada masa depan anak. Ada beberapa karakter dasar yang perlu dibangun untuk anak-anak antara lain: kerja sama, kejujuran, disiplin, tanggung jawab, percaya diri, dan toleransi terhadap sesama/peduli sesama. Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, semakin krisisnya nilai karakter anak, sehingga perlunya usaha guru untuk mampu menanamkan nilai karakter anak sejak dini agar menjadi suatu pembiasaan. Sehingga tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk melakukan pendampingan terhadap guru TK/PAUD dan SD dalam pembinaan karakter melalui layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Pada kegiatan pengabdian ini guru diberikan materi tentang urgensi permasalahan karakter dan hal yang harus dilakukan guru untuk mampu membentuk karakter siswa TK/PAUD dan SD, selanjutnya guru-guru diberi pelatihan dalam melaksanakan konseling individual, bimbingan dan konseling kelompok, dan layanan klasikal. Kegiatan ini sangat penting diberikan kepada guru TK/PAUD dan SD sebagai guru awal yang akan membantu membentuk karakter siswa sedini mungkin, sehingga melalui kegiatan ini guru mampu memberikan pelayanan dan pembinaan kepada siswa mulai dari dini.

Abstract

Setiap lembaga pendidikan baik formal maupun nonformal tentunya mempunyai tujuan pendidikan, salah satu tujuan pendidikan adalah mengantarkan peserta didiknya menjadi manusia yang mampu mengembangkan kompetensi dirinya sehingga mampu menjadi individu yang memiliki keterampilan, keterampilan, daya saing dan berguna bagi diri sendiri, orang lain, agama, bangsa dan negara. Tak terkecuali pesantren sebagai salah satu lembaga pendidikan Islam yang membekali santrinya dengan berbagai ilmu dan keterampilan di samping membekali santrinya dengan ilmu agama yang menjadi landasan utamanya. Karya ilmiah ini merupakan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan penulis di Pondok Pesantren Modern Darunna’im Rangkasbitung Lebak-Banten. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memotret, memahami dan menganalisis bentuk bimbingan dan konseling yang diberikan pesantren kepada santrinya khususnya santri baru pada tahun pertama kehidupan di pesantren. Pembinaan khusus yang khusus berkaitan dengan proses adaptasi santri terhadap budaya pesantren yang meliputi kegiatan 24 jam, bahasa, peraturan, lingkungan dan sosial serta bimbingan akademik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian lapangan. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan diketahui bahwa praktik bimbingan dan konseling yang dilaksanakan di Pondok Pesantren Modern Darunna’im Rangkasbitung Lebak-Banten dapat dikatakan cukup baik dan berjalan aktif. Hal ini terlihat dari proses pelaksanaan Bimbingan dan Konseling yang dilakukan secara berkala oleh penanggung jawab beberapa siswa yang dipandang perlu dan harus mendapat layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling. Di sisi lain, tentunya penulis juga dapat menarik kesimpulan bahwa semakin banyaknya layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling yang dilaksanakan di pondok pesantren, menunjukkan betapa sering dan banyaknya permasalahan kehidupan santri di pondok pesantren. Hal ini dapat dikatakan wajar mengingat tidak hanya ada satu atau dua santri yang tinggal di pesantren, melainkan banyak dengan latar belakang kehidupan, keluarga, suku, dan lingkungan yang berbeda-beda. Setiap siswa mempunyai kebiasaan, ciri dan kebiasaan yang berbeda-beda yang dibawanya masing-masing dari rumahnya. Hal ini merupakan tugas dan tanggung jawab yang sangat berat bagi pengelola pesantren, mengingat para santri dengan latar belakang budaya yang berbeda-beda harus tinggal bersama dalam satu tempat bernama pesantren. Di sisi lain, pengelola pesantren juga harus bisa menjamin keamanan dan kenyamanan santrinya dari berbagai aspek, termasuk aspek psikologis.

Abstract

This study explores the role of multicultural counseling in fostering politeness values in schools through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by PRISMA standards. Schools are not only places of knowledge transfer but also spaces for character development, where politeness defined as respect, etiquette, and social responsibility is central to creating a positive learning climate. A systematic search across Scopus, Google Scholar identified 337 records; after screening and eligibility checks, 14 peer-reviewed articles were included. Findings highlight four dimensions: first, cultural narratives and symbols such as Ghanaian Adinkra and Indigenous healing traditions serve as effective means of internalizing respect; second, counselor multicultural competence reduces bias, prevents microaggressions, and builds inclusive relationships; third, conceptual studies affirm respect, empathy, justice, and courtesy as universal counseling values; and fourth, embedding multicultural perspectives into counselor training and school curricula underscores the institutional role of politeness in education. Overall, multicultural counseling emerges as both a preventive and educational strategy that bridges cultural diversity with universal ethical values. By integrating cultural appreciation and value-based practices, schools can systematically cultivate politeness as a cornerstone of character education, ultimately promoting respect, tolerance, and social harmony in diverse learning environments.

Abstract

ABSTRAK  Dalam budaya Minangkabau, perkawinan satu suku merupakan perkawinan yang dilarang. Bagi pelakunya akan diberikan sanksi adat yang cukup berat yaitu dikucilkan dari keluarga besar, masyarakat serta dibuang sepanjang adat. Garis keturunan baik suami, isteri maupun anak tidak boleh menggunakan nama suku. Demikian juga dengan hak-hak adat yang lainnya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskritif analitis. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik kepustakaan. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah buku, jurnal ilmiah, dokumen, majalah, peraturan perundang-undangan dan hasil-hasil penelitian relevan yang diakses melalui perpustakaan maupun melalui open journal search sistem via internet. Kata-kata Kunci: Perkawinan Sesuku, Budaya Minangkabau, Konseling Budaya   PROHIBITION OF ETHIC MARRIAGE IN MINANGKABAU CULTURE AND ITS IMPLICATIONS ON CULTURAL COUNSELING  ABSTRACT  In Minangkabau culture, marriage of one tribe is a prohibited marriage. The perpetrators will be given a fairly heavy customary sanction, namely being ostracized from their extended family, community and expelled as long as they are customary. The lineage of both husband, wife and children may not use tribal names. Likewise with other customary rights. This type of research is descriptive analytical. Data collection techniques in this study using library techniques. Abstract

Control of the pawned coconut object over the damaged plants around the pawned object. The pawnbroker demands compensation for the damage to his plants around the pawned coconut tree. The purpose of this study is to examine how the control of the parties who carry out plant pawn transactions is exercised and how the legal responsibility is when damage occurs to the plants around the collateral object. This type of research is in the form of field research in the Lima Kaum Batusangkar area of ​​Indonesia. This study is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Primary sources from both parties who carry out the coconut tree pawn agreement. Secondary sources from the local community. Data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and observations. Analysis techniques with qualitative descriptive analysis. Findings from the field show that the pawnbroker still has power over the land where the coconut grows and plants young plants in the form of cayenne pepper around the area, while the pawn recipient also has power over the coconut fruit that has been pawned to him. This study concludes that compensation for damaged plants cannot be justified according to Custom, because the cayenne pepper plants prevent the pawn recipient from taking the fruit, in line with the pawn recipient's power, which includes the boundaries of the coconut tree land attached to immovable objects (land). According to Islamic jurisprudence, this is a naqish (limited time) property right, only one of which is owned (material or benefit).

Abstract

Kecanduan akan smartphone yang mengakibatkan bagi penggunanya takut akan ketinggalan-ketinggalan fitur yang terdapat di dalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu efek negatif dari fomo yang terjadi pada manusia serta memberikan solusi untuk menurunkan dampak dari fomo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat fenomenologi. Informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa sebanyak 5 orang yang masuk kategori dampak fomo. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari hasil triangulasi dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa dampak dari fomo yang alami oleh mahasiswa yaitu mengganggu aktivitas, insomnia dan terganggunya kesehatan. Mengurangi dampak fomo tersebut maka konseling kelompok dengan pendekatan SFBT adalah salah satu metode yang ampuh untuk menurunkan dampak dari fomo.

Abstract

Abstract: Multicultural counseling, also called cross-cultural counseling, is a form of counseling that aims to understand clients with diverse backgrounds and characteristics. This study aims to see and analyze the development of scientific papers published in Scopus on multicultural counseling. The research method uses a literature review, especially using bibliometrics. Data retrieval was obtained from the Scopus web using the keyword "Multicultural Counseling' obtained as many as 1,401 articles. Data analysis using bibliometrics by utilizing Vosviewer software. The results of the study showed that in 2020 there were 50 articles and in 2024 there were 54 documents. The highest citation related to documents was the research results of Yi, J. et al with 56 times. The name of the author who published the most articles was Ridley, C.R as many as 6 documents. 92% of documents have been published by the United States. Analysis of multicultural and counseling titles is widely used by authors. Co-authorship analysis has 10 co-authors. Analysis of author keywords is often used, namely 'multicultural, counseling and multicultural education. The development of scientific works on multicultural counseling is increasing and is widely published in international journals. The results of this study are expected to be utilized by guidance and counseling teachers and further researchers, especially in related fields of science.Abstrak: Konseling multikultural, yang juga disebut konseling lintas budaya (cross-cultural counseling), adalah salah satu bentuk konseling yang bertujuan untuk memahami klien dengan latar belakang dan karakteristik yang beragam Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dan menganalisis perkembangan karya tulis ilmiah yang diterbitkan di scopus mengenai konseling multikultural. Metode penelitian menggunakan tinjauan literatur, khususnya menggunakan bibliometrik. Pengambilan data diperoleh dari web scopus menggunakan kata kunci " Konseling Multikultural’ diperoleh sebanyak 1,401 artikel. Analisis data menggunakan bibliometrik dengan memanfaatkan perangkat lunak Vosviewer. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa tahun 2020 diperoleh 50 artikel dan 2024 memiliki jumlah artikel sebanyak 54 dokumen. Sitasi yang paling tinggi terkait dokumen yaitu hasil penelitian Yi, J. et al dengan 56 kali. Nama penulis yang banyak menerbitkan artikel yaitu Ridley,  C.R sebanyak 6 dokumen. Dokumen 92% telah dipublikasikan oleh Negara Amerika Serikat. Analsis judul multikultural dan conseling banyak digunakan oleh penulis. Analsis kepenulisan bersama terdapat 10 penulis yang saling. Analsis kata kunci penulis sering digunakan  yaitu ‘multikultural, counseling dan education multikultural. Perkembangan karya ilmiah mengenai konseling multikultural semakin meningkat dan banyak dipublikasikan di jurnal internasional. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dimanfaatkan oleh guru bimbingan dan konseling dan peneliti selanjutnya, khususnya pada bidang ilmu yang terkait.
