Abstract

Dalam era komunikasi saat ini, bahasa Inggris memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam komunikasi, baik di tingkat internasional maupun nasional. Kemampuan berbahasa Inggris menjadi vital dalam berbagai konteks, termasuk kerja sama dengan pihak asing. Namun, relawan dari Komunitas Peduli Anak dan Sungai Deli (KOPASUDE) menghadapi kendala dalam berbicara bahasa Inggris, yang dapat menyebabkan kesalahpahaman dan hambatan dalam kerjasama. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, dilakukan pengabdian masyarakat berupa pelatihan penguasaan kosakata (vocabulary) dan simulasi percakapan dalam bahasa Inggris (English Conversation) dengan menggunakan metode Audiolingual. Hasil dari pelatihan ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris para relawan KOPASUDE yang berkaitan dengan pekerjaan mereka. Selain itu, pelatihan vocabulary juga membantu mereka menguasai kosakata yang relevan dengan lapangan kerja. Program ini juga melibatkan aktivitas sosial untuk anak-anak binaan KOPASUDE, yang membantu mengembangkan kreativitas dan minat mereka dalam bidang lingkungan dan keberlanjutan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini mencakup video dokumentasi, penggunaan bahasa Inggris oleh relawan di lokasi kerja, artikel PKM yang terpublikasi, dan pengembangan keterampilan dari bahan daur ulang. Dalam konteks pengabdian kepada masyarakat, perlu terus memberikan pelatihan dan dukungan dalam bahasa Inggris kepada relawan KOPASUDE dan masyarakat binaan. Evaluasi dan pemantauan berkala juga diperlukan untuk mengukur dampak program dan melakukan perbaikan jika diperlukan. Dengan upaya berkelanjutan dan pemantauan yang baik, diharapkan program ini akan terus memberikan manfaat positif bagi relawan KOPASUDE dan masyarakat yang mereka bantu dalam upaya membangun lingkungan yang lebih baik dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pentingnya Komunikasi Organisasi Pendidikan Islam.Komunikasi merupakan sarana Untuk terjalinnya hubungan Antar seseorang dengan orang lain,dengan adanya Komunikasi maka terjadilah hubungan sosial,karena bahwa Manusia itu adalah sebagai makhluk Sosial,diantara yang lainnya saling membutuhkan, sehingga terjadinya interaksi yang timbal balik.dalam Hubungan Seseorang dengan orang lain tentunya terjadi proses Komunikasi itu tentunya tidak terlepas dari tujuan yang menjadi topik atau pokok pembahasan,dan juga untuk tercapainya proses penyampaian informasi itu akan berhasil apabila ditunjang dengan alat-alat atau media sebagai sarana penyaluran informasi atau berita.Keberhasilan lembaga pendidikan agama Islam sangat ditentukan oleh factor manajemen dan organisasi serta kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing stake holders dalam mengeban tugasnya.Komunikasi yang efektif dapat dilihat dari pelayanan terbaik dan manajemen Sekolah.

Abstract

Whichever perspective is used is the authority of each person in understanding the Qur'an, what is mandatory is studying the meaning contained in the verses of the Qur'an, both from a historical and other perspective. The purpose of this writing is to explain an understanding of history based on the verses of the Koran, which is the basis for thinking for Islamic historians. The method used in this research is a historical approach, which involves interpretation and collaboration. This article uses Ibn Kathir's book of tafsir as a reference for interpreting the verses of the Qur'an. Muslims are obliged to read history, because to increase self-confidence through the stories contained in it, the verses of the Qur'an provide an overview of the changes that have occurred in human life as a contribution to building a modern society with the perspective of the Qur'an. 'an starting from its initial emergence, development, peak of progress, setback, until collapse.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of picture story media in enhancing the reading abilities of second-grade students at SD Gajah Mada. Reading is a crucial skill for elementary students, but many face challenges in developing this skill, as evidenced by the average reading score of 63 at the school. To address this issue, picture story media was introduced as an engaging and interactive learning tool aimed at improving students' reading comprehension and motivation. Classroom action research (CAR) was employed, involving a reflective cycle of planning, action, observation, and reflection. In Cycle 1, the average reading score of students increased from 50.3% to 63.7% after implementing picture story media, with 65.8% of students meeting the passing criteria. Cycle 2 showed further improvement, with the percentage of students scoring between 75-100 rising from 43% to 93.2% by the end of the cycle. These results highlight the significant impact of picture story media in boosting students' reading skills and engagement. The findings support the use of visual aids in education, demonstrating that picture story media can effectively enhance reading abilities among young learners. The study contributes to the field of language education and provides practical insights for teachers in selecting effective learning media. Future research is suggested to explore the long-term effects of picture story media and its application in various educational contexts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of modules in the subject of problem-based science on learning outcomes. The method used in this study was a pre-experiment using a purposive sampling technique. The subjects of the study were 33 cadets of the Nautical Department of Fishing Vessels. The instruments used in this study were pretest and posttest questions. Data on the increase in students' pretest and posttest results had homogeneous variance and were normally distributed. Based on the paired t-test with a level of α = 0.05, Tcount (22.005)> Ttable (1.694) was obtained. This shows a significant increase in student learning outcomes. The results of the n-gain test based on the achievement of learning outcomes in students showed a value of 0.718 which was categorized as high. Therefore, the problem-based science module used is effective in improving learning outcomes.

Abstract

Early marriage is a phenomenon that is of major concern in health and human rights issues among society globally. Early marriage is usually dominated by women, especially in rural areas. Some parents give permission and let their children marry before the age of 18. Some parents think that marrying their children off at a young age can ease the economic burden on the family. Even though early marriage has a negative impact on both the prospective mother and the prospective child. This service aims to provide education to students at SMA Negeri 1 Lembah Melintang regarding the impact of early marriage and the factors that cause early marriage so that students avoid marriage at an early age and focus on studying. The method for carrying out this activity is by providing information about early marriage, providing direction and motivation. This socialization activity received a positive and quite enthusiastic response from both teachers and students because it was followed by promotion of the STAIN Madina campus and inviting younger students to study at the Pride Campus of Mandailing Natal Regency.

Abstract

Rapid technological changes have had a significant impact on the world of education, both positive and negative. Technology makes it easier to access information, supports distance learning, and creates more interactive and interesting learning methods in the world of education. In addition, technology also encourages the advancement of students' and teachers' digital skills, which is very important in the era of digitalization. However, there are also challenges such as dependence on technology, digital distractions, access gaps, and health impacts due to excessive use of digital devices. This research uses a literature study method to identify the positive and negative impacts of technology in education as well as solutions that can be implemented. The results of the analysis show that digital literacy, supervision and equitable access to technology are the keys to optimal use of technology. With proper management, technology can be an effective tool for improving the quality of education.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is an instructional approach that tailors the learning process to students' needs and abilities to create an inclusive environment. This study discusses the implementation of differentiated learning at Sekolah Kreatif SD Muhammadiyah 16 Surabaya, covering aspects of content, process, and product to support students' academic and social development, including those with special needs. The objective of this research is to analyze the implementation of differentiated learning, as well as the supporting factors and challenges faced in its application. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews with teachers and students, and school document analysis. Data were obtained from observations and interviews regarding the implementation of differentiated learning. The findings indicate that Sekolah Kreatif SD Muhammadiyah 16 Surabaya applies team teaching, project-based learning, and the use of technology in the learning process. Teachers adapt their teaching methods to match students' learning styles, while support from parents and collaboration with external partners such as therapy institutions and healthcare agencies further enhance inclusive learning. In conclusion, differentiated learning at Sekolah Kreatif SD Muhammadiyah 16 Surabaya has been implemented effectively, although challenges such as limited supporting teachers and the need for more adaptive strategies remain. Continuous improvements are being made through teacher training, enhanced collaboration, and parent outreach. With a continuously evolving approach, this school can serve as a model for other institutions in implementing inclusive and effective education.

Abstract

Analysis of Consumer Satisfaction Levels Using the Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Customer Effort Score (CES) Methods on Telkomsel Card Users in Samarinda. The purpose of the study was to measure the level of consumer satisfaction and ease of service for Telkomsel card service users in Samarinda. This research method is quantitative descriptive, which is a research method that uses quantitative data to describe the characteristics of a phenomenon or population, without testing the relationship or determining the cause and effect between variables. The population is all consumers who use Telkomsel card services in Indonesia, totaling 8510 users (as of September 2023). The sample size collected was 158 respondents (minimum sample of 99 based on the Slovin formula). The type of data is primary data or internal data obtained directly from respondents. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses the Net Promoters Score (NPS) method, which is a method for measuring consumer satisfaction, and the Customer Effort Score (CES) method, which is a method for measuring the ease of consumer experience with product/company services. The assessment scale for each respondent's answer is scored from 0-10, where 0 means very unlikely/very difficult, and 10 means very possible/very easy. The survey results from 158 respondents who were collected showed that Telkomsel had a CES index on a scale of 7-10 (very easy), namely 7.47 in the "very easy" range, indicating that customers/consumers are consistently satisfied with the ease of use of Telkomsel products or services. This score is evidence of Telkomsel's efforts to provide a customer-centric experience. A high CES score can be a competitive advantage, as it can lead to increased customer loyalty, satisfaction, and referrals. For the NPS score of 18.35% positive, it shows that there are more promoters than detractors, and this is a good indicator of Telkomsel consumer loyalty. The existence of promoters, although in a small percentage, shows that some customers are enthusiastic about Telkomsel products and services and are willing to recommend them to others. This shows that Telkomsel provides a positive experience for some of its customer base

Abstract

Kuliner khas Riau saat ini semakin terpinggirkan akibat popularitas kuliner kekinian yang lebih menarik perhatian generasi muda. Kurangnya kesadaran generasi muda dalam melestarikan kuliner khas Riau dapat menghilangkan citra kuliner tersebut dari budaya masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan media alternatif yang mampu menjaga eksistensi kuliner khas Riau. Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan board game sebagai media edukasi yang menyenangkan dan interaktif dalam mengenalkan ragam kuliner khas Riau kepada anak-anak, serta meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran mereka terhadap kuliner khas daerah sebagai bagian dari warisan dan identitas budaya Melayu Riau. Metode perancangan dilakukan melalui pengumpulan data yang melibatkan observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dokumentasi, dan kuesioner, yang selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode SWOT. Perancangan ini menghasilkan karya berupa media utama, yaitu board game berjudul Kumkuri (Kumpulkan Kuliner Riau) dengan komponen berupa papan permainan, kartu, dan kotak kemasan.
