Abstract

This study focuses on the policy of managing educational facilities and infrastructure at MTs Negeri 2 Palembang, which represents one of the key aspects in supporting the effectiveness of the learning process and the achievement of educational goals. The main objective of this research is to describe and analyze how the management policy is designed, implemented, and evaluated, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques that include in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. The data were analyzed through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the policy for managing facilities and infrastructure at MTs Negeri 2 Palembang has followed a structured process, ranging from planning, procurement, utilization, to maintenance. However, its implementation has not been fully optimal due to challenges such as budget limitations, suboptimal coordination between work units, and minimal stakeholder participation in the evaluation process. The implications of this study highlight the importance of strengthening the internal evaluation system and fostering broader collaboration between the madrasah, relevant institutions, and the community to establish sustainable and participatory educational facility management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of collaboration between guidance and counseling (GC) teachers and parents in supporting student development at Madrasah Aliyah Aisyiyah 1 Palembang. The focus of this research is to identify the benefits of structured collaboration in helping both parties understand students' needs, as well as to determine improvement steps that should be taken to ensure students' future success. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observation, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The findings indicate that collaboration between GC teachers and parents has a significant positive impact on students' emotional development, self-confidence, and social skills. However, the study also reveals several obstacles that hinder the effectiveness of such collaboration, including parents' time constraints, a lack of understanding about the role of GC teachers, and limited communication. Therefore, the study recommends more flexible meeting schedules, the use of technology to facilitate communication, and more intensive outreach to parents regarding the role of GC teachers. The implications of this research highlight the need for programs aimed at increasing parental involvement in their children's education and strengthening the partnership between school and family. For future research, it is recommended to use a mixed-methods approach (quantitative and qualitative) to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the collaboration between GC teachers and parents.

Abstract

Kinesthetic intelligence is one of the components in Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences theory, which refers to an individual's ability to control body movements and optimise motor skills efficiently and in a coordinated manner. During early childhood, stimulation of this aspect is very important through fun, structured physical activities that are appropriate for the child's stage of development. This study aims to thoroughly examine strategies for developing kinesthetic intelligence in children aged 4–5 years through the implementation of gymnastics activities at RA Perwanida 4 Palembang, South Sumatra. A descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation was used in this study. The results of the study indicate that regular gymnastics activities have a positive impact on the development of children's motor skills, including movement coordination, balance, flexibility, and self-confidence in expressing themselves through movement. Teachers play an important role as active facilitators who not only teach movements but also create a safe and enjoyable learning environment and provide children with motivation and positive reinforcement. Gymnastics activities are also integrated into thematic learning plans so that they become part of contextual and meaningful learning. This finding confirms that movement-based learning can be an effective pedagogical strategy to support the holistic development of kinesthetic intelligence. Therefore, ongoing support is needed to ensure that physical activities such as gymnastics become an integrated practice in early childhood education in accordance with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum.
