Abstract

Intervensi dilakukan selama 16 pertemuan.

Abstract

The development of students’ non-academic potential through soccer extracurricular activities at the junior high school level is often hindered by limited internal school resources; therefore, a systematic approach that involves active parental support is needed to successfully foster students’ interests and talents. This study aims to comprehensively analyse the impact of various forms of parental support on the sustainability of soccer extracurricular programs at the junior high school level in Pekanbaru City. This study employs a qualitative approach using an Intrinsic Case Study design at three junior high schools (SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru, SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru, and SMP Negeri 10 Pekanbaru). Data were collected through triangulation (observation, interviews, and documentation) from parents, students, and coaches. The results indicate that parental support is vital and multidimensional, encompassing financial, moral, and logistical factors. This multifaceted support collectively has a significant impact on improving the quality of the development program. The conclusion affirms that parental support is a determining factor and catalyst for the success of a soccer extracurricular program. The implications of this study recommend establishing a structured parent-school partnership model to more comprehensively optimize the development of students’ interests and talents.

Abstract

The loss of self-confidence and responsibility in students can be caused by various factors, both internal and external, such as negative experiences, lack of positive support from people around them, and social comparisons between friends. One way that can be used to implement effective learning strategies is to ensure that teachers involve students actively, creatively, and enjoyably so that they feel more motivated to learn. One of the obstacles faced by teachers when implementing physical education is that students do not feel responsible for what they learn towards the learning objectives that are achieved and the use of appropriate learning models. Therefore, to support students' self-confidence and responsibility, the peer teaching learning model can be used in physical education and sports in schools. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of student development towards self-confidence and responsibility by using the peer teaching model. This study uses a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design with the technique purposive sampling in Class VI SDN 1 Cisurupan Garut. Data were obtained using a questionnaire instrument of student self-confidence and responsibility. Research in this area can provide insight into how schools, teachers, and families can build good character in students, as well as identify factors that influence both characters. Self-confidence and responsibility are two main characters that shape a student's behavior, achievement, and social skills.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of integrating life skills education into futsal extracurricular activities in vocational high schools. The research was conducted in response to the limited application of life skills learning in sports-based programs, particularly in futsal, which is often focused merely on technical performance. Methodology: The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model. The participants were 13 students purposively selected from the extracurricular futsal program at Vocational High School Muhammadiyah Kutawinangun. Data were collected using validated questionnaires to measure life skills and performance tests to assess basic futsal skills (dribbling, passing, and shooting). The data were analyzed using paired sample t-tests and N-Gain to determine the effectiveness of the intervention. Main Findings: The results showed a significant improvement in students’ life skills (M = 50.69; t = 8.957; p < 0.001) and a moderate improvement in futsal skills (M = 9.39; t = 3.501; p = 0.004). The integration of structured life skills learning within futsal training proved effective in developing students’ teamwork, communication, and self-management abilities. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study lies in its systematic combination of sports pedagogy and life skills education within an extracurricular setting, providing a new model for holistic learning in vocational education. The findings have practical implications for educators and policymakers in designing sports-based learning models that foster students’ personal, social, and professional competencies in alignment with 21st-century education goals.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of community sports development policies in the context of the "development through sport" paradigm. National development through sports in accordance with the mandate of the Sports Law can be started through community sports which are the basis for the goals of developing the sport itself. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This research was conducted in West Java Province using a purposive sampling technique referring to the high sports achievements achieved at the National Sports Week, but it is still low in the sports development index. Interviews, documentation studies, and observations were carried out in the data collection process. To analyze the data collected, we devised seven indicators that are based on the essence of the sports law of the community sports section. The results of this study found that the implementation of the community sports development policy that was implemented was close to conformity with what was stated in the sports law. However, there are still inequalities in some aspects. This happens because there is still a lack of understanding from the government as policy makers, as well as the community as a group affected by the implementation of policies of the importance of sport as an instrument of national development. Therefore, sports policy makers must act immediately in providing solutions to evaluate policies that will be implemented in the future.

Abstract

Background Problems: Adolescents face various social challenges, such as the need to succeed in a competitive environment, cope with stress, face a global pandemic, and must develop in the future as adults. Research Objectives: The purpose of this research is to create an outdoor program integrated with PYD and 21st century skills that form a generation of young people who are resilient and ready to face global challenges. Methods: The method used in this study was the quasi-experimental design research method. The design used in this study was Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design With More Than One Experimental Group. The research instrument to measure 21st century skills is the 21st century skills questionnaire, and to measure positive youth development (PYD) using the PYD 7Cs questionnaire. Findings and Results: There was a significant difference in the effect of the outdoor education program of PYD integration with the control group with a calculated f value of 17,993 and a sig value of 0.000. Similarly, there are differences between the 21st century skill integration group and the control group with a calculated f value of 15.579 and a sig value of 0.000. Conclusion: The results show that outdoor education that integrates PYD and 21st century skills has a better impact so that youth have excess energy if not channelled into positive activities. Youth needs in outdoor education activities are still an attractive choice. In the 21st century, outdoor education activities become meaningful learning with the condition that there is an integration concept both in 21st century skills and positive youth development.
