Abstract

This study investigates the mediating role of work motivation in the relationship between work environment, job stress, and employee performance at the General Bureau of the Riau Provincial Government. The research adopts a confirmatory and explanatory approach to examine causal relationships among variables based on established theoretical frameworks in human resource management. A saturated sampling technique was applied, involving all 100 employees of the General Bureau as respondents. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with the Partial Least Squares approach (SEM-PLS) through SmartPLS 4.0. The results indicate that the work environment has a significant positive effect on work motivation and employee performance, while job stress has a negative influence on both motivation and performance. Work motivation is proven to play a crucial mediating role, strengthening the positive impact of a supportive work environment on performance and buffering the adverse effects of job stress. These findings suggest that employee performance in the public sector is not only shaped by structural and psychological working conditions but is also strongly driven by the level of internal motivation. This study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence on the integrative model of work environment, job stress, motivation, and performance within a provincial government context. Practically, the findings imply that public sector managers should prioritize the creation of a conducive work environment, effective stress management, and motivational enhancement programs to improve employee performance and organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

There are many aspects that MSMEs in the food industry need to consider, one of which is obtaining halal certification. This certificate, issued by the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH), is essential for MSMEs. Moreover, the majority of Indonesia’s population is Muslim and requires assurance that the food products they consume are halal. Halal certification helps boost consumer trust, market share, and business competitiveness. By holding a halal certificate, SME products will be more readily accepted in the market, particularly among Muslim consumers who require halal products to ensure safety when consumed. The objective is to enhance SME operators’ knowledge and awareness regarding the importance of halal certification. The outreach methods include interactive lectures, group discussions, hands-on halal certification registration practice, and individual consultations for SMEs, along with the activity’s target audience. The participants in this community service program are women entrepreneurs in the food and beverage sector in the city of Pekanbaru. The expected outcome of this community service activity is that women entrepreneurs in the food and beverage sector will be able to understand the importance of obtaining halal certification through the Self-Declaration process for food and beverage products, as well as the importance of using ingredients, equipment, and food and beverage processing methods that comply with halal criteria. Abstract

Socio-economic inequality remains a development challenge in Indonesia, reflected in unequal income distribution, access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. Statistics Indonesia reported that the country’s Gini Ratio in 2024 was 0.381, indicating that inequality remains relatively high. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic redistributive instruments, namely zakat, infaq, and waqf, in reducing socio-economic inequality and promoting equitable welfare distribution. The study employs a qualitative approach using library research methods through a review of relevant academic journals, books, and official reports. Data were analyzed using descriptive-analytical and content analysis techniques. The findings show that zakat plays a role in income redistribution and poverty alleviation, infaq strengthens social solidarity and addresses urgent needs, while waqf contributes to the development of long-term productive assets. The integration of these three instruments has the potential to become a strategic solution in supporting sustainable welfare equality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Social Finance (ISF), particularly zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf (ZISWAF), in supporting equitable fiscal policies in Indonesia. Using a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach, this study examines the potential, challenges, and models for integrating Islamic social finance instruments and state fiscal policies. The results show that ZISWAF has great potential as an alternative source of social financing, with the potential value of national zakat reaching IDR 327 trillion per year, but only about 4% has been realized. The integration of ZISWAF into the fiscal system plays a role in strengthening wealth redistribution, expanding the state's fiscal space, and supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) without increasing the tax burden on the community. However, this study also identifies various obstacles, such as weak institutional coordination, overlapping regulations, and low public literacy regarding Islamic social finance. Digital transformation through Islamic fintech has the potential to be a solution by increasing the transparency, efficiency, and accountability of ZISWAF management. This study concludes that the integration of ZISWAF into fiscal policy supported by digital governance and the principles of maqasid al-shariah is a strategic step towards fiscal justice and sustainable social welfare in Indonesia.

This research uses a quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 399 Generation Z respondents in the Binawidya District, Pekanbaru City. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26 with validity, reliability, classical assumption tests, t-test (partial), F-test (simultaneous), and coefficient of determination (R²). The results show that the Attitude variable has a positive and significant effect on Consumptive Behavior (t = 86.170 > 1.996; Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05), Digital Marketing also has a positive and significant effect (t = 3.276 > 1.996; Sig. = 0.001 < 0.05), while Green Product has no significant effect (t = -0.418 < 1.996; Sig. = 0.676 > 0.05). Simultaneously, the three variables have a significant effect on Consumptive Behavior (F = 4953.606; Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05) with an R² value of 0.974, indicating that 97.4% of the variation in consumptive behavior is explained by these variables From the perspective of Maqasid Syariah, the findings suggest that the consumptive behavior of Generation Z can be directed toward ethical and value-based consumption through the preservation of (Hifzh Ad-Din), intellect (Hifzh al-‘Aql), wise management of wealth (Hifzh al-Mal), and environmental awareness (Hifzh al-Nafs and Hifzh al-Nasl).
