Abstract

An option is a contract between the seller’s option and the buyer’s option, while the factors that affect the value of the option are the stock price (S), the strike price (K), the maturity date (T), interest rate (r), volatility (σ). The application of the models in this study uses daily stock closing data from PT PP London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk from July 18, 2019, until September 19, 2019, so that the initial stock price is = Rp1,090, the interest rate is 5.5%, the value stock price volatility is 0.253. The computation of the option prices using the Black Scholes model aims to found out all the values generated from European type put options. By applying the Black Scholes model, the value generated from the European type option is Rp14,768.

Abstract

Stunting remains a serious public health concern in Indonesia, exacerbated by the limited public understanding of its causes and prevention strategies. This study analyzes public perceptions of stunting based on reviews collected through web scraping from the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI). Text preprocessing techniques, Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) analysis, and dimensionality reduction using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) were applied to a dataset comprising 21 reviews. The results indicate that PCA outperforms SVD in simplifying the relationships among key terms, as evidenced by a lower reconstruction error (0.003861 compared to 0.004232). The dominant factors influencing public perception include education, sanitation, and socio-economic conditions. These findings highlight the critical role of data-driven and visual-based educational strategies in enhancing public awareness and accelerating stunting prevention efforts.

Abstract

Higher education is a continuation of secondary education that is organized to prepare students to become members of the community with academic or professional abilities. Therefore, selecting a university is essential for helping students acquire knowledge and skills and prepare themselves to be independent individuals. This study intends to determine the distribution of decision-making students who select the university based on factors of academic ability, individual characteristics, psychology, instrumental, and environmental factors. The study's methodology, which involves the collection of primary data from 474 respondents from high schools in the Indonesian-Timor Leste border region, is robust and rigorous, instilling confidence in the reader. The method used for data analysis is quantitative, which involves applying structural equation modeling to identify factors that influence students’ selection of universities. The study results showed that out of the six structural models formed, they could provide evidence that factors such as academic ability, individual characteristics, psychology, instrumental factors, and environment influence students’ selection of universities. This can be seen from the test values of the regression model formed in the structural modeling, which gives a P-value of less than 5%. The variable that provided the largest percentage, partially influencing student interest in selecting a state university, was the school environment, which was 98%. The value was based on the path coefficient of structural equation modeling. These findings have significant implications for the design of university admission processes and the development of student support programs.
