Abstract

ABSTRACT Hybrid natural-natural fibre reinforced polymer composites become attractive alternative to seek the friendly-environmentally materials. Study on the durability level of the hybrid composites have the importance reason due to the role in application as structural function. This study focuses on examining the fatigue strength of polypropylene polymer composites reinforced with hybrid sugar palm-kenaf fibres. The hybrid composite materials were prepared by mixing the fibres and matrix with several compositions. There are five composition types of specimens that evaluated, such as 70:10:10, 70:15:15, 70:20:10, 80:10:10 and 90:5:5. The hybrid composites were composed by PP, sugar palm fibre and kenaf fibre. Furtheremore the tensile test were conducted to find the value of ultimate tensile strength for every specimens of hybrid composites. The fatigue test also were conducted with four level of stress i.e. 80%, 70%, 60% and 50%. The results show that in the lower level of stress, the hybrid composites with higher content of sugar palm fibre posses the better performance of fatigue life compare to the others

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has brought significant changes in various fields, including education. Maths education, often considered a challenging subject, can now be transformed by the use of technology to improve students' understanding and learning outcomes. This research uses the literature review method to explore various studies and publications that discuss the role of technology in mathematics education. The results show that technology has a crucial role in the transformation of mathematics education. The use of visualisation software, educational apps and e-learning platforms has been shown to help students better understand abstract mathematical concepts. Technology also enables more adaptive and personalised learning, provides a variety of resources that can be accessed anytime and anywhere, and increases student engagement and motivation. The instant evaluation and feedback provided by technology helps students to immediately correct mistakes and understand the material more deeply. In addition, the integration of technology in mathematics learning also helps to improve students' digital skills, which is important for their future.

Abstract

Hipertensi adalah pembahasan klasik yang tak henti-henti dibicarakan, namun kurangnya kesadaran diri membuat penderita sepele dengan tekanan darah sistol dan diastole yang berada diatas normal yaitu ≥140/90 mmHg. Dampak yang terjadi dari hipertensi yang dibiarkan secara terus menerus akan berakibat fatal dan mempengaruhi sistem kerja organ lain. Resiko komplikasi yang paling sering terjadi seperti stroke, penyakit jantung koroner, gagal ginjal dan penyakit ginjal. Tujuan dilakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah untuk memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat dengan pendekatan edukatif berbasis community dengan tema Manajemen Peningkatan Kualitas Hidup penderita Hipertensi yang dilakukan di Puskesmas Bandar Baru Kabupaten Pidie Jaya tahun 2025. Pengabdian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 1 Februari 2025 di Puskesmas Bandar Baru, Kabupaten Pidie Jaya dengan jumlah peserta 73 orang. Kegiatan yang dilakukan pemeriksaan pengukuran tekanan darah, senam hipertensi, penyuluhan hipertensi dan memanajemen stress, serta pembagian leaflet kepada penderita hipertensi. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat memberikan dampak yang positif bagi penderita hipertensi dan kegiatan ini menjadi rutinitas yang dilakukan untuk mencegah resiko komplikasi hipertensi.

Abstract

Penerapan nilai budaya lokal PO5 Buton memiliki dampak positif terhadap kemampuan berbahasa anak, meskipun di tengah maraknya penggunaan gadget di era digital. Nilai budaya lokal yang terkandung dalam PO5 Buton dapat memperkaya pemahaman bahasa anak, memperkuat ikatan sosial, dan meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi lisan maupun tulisan. Melalui pengintegrasian budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran, anak-anak mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih dalam mengenai bahasa, tidak hanya sebagai alat komunikasi tetapi juga sebagai ekspresi budaya yang bermakna. Meskipun penggunaan gadget seringkali mendominasi perhatian anak-anak, penerapan nilai budaya lokal dapat menjadi alternatif untuk mengurangi pengaruh negatif penggunaan gadget yang berlebihan dengan menawarkan konteks komunikasi yang lebih mendalam dan berbasis budaya. Oleh karena itu, pengintegrasian nilai budaya lokal dalam pendidikan memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa anak-anak di era digital.

Abstract

Improving the quality of learning in mechanical engineering is a major challenge in the field of mechanical engineering, especially in understanding complex concepts such as statics and dynamics. This study aims to improve the effectiveness of the use of computer simulation and animation as an innovative learning tool in mechanical engineering. This study used a mixed approach (mixed methods) with a quasi-experimental design involving 94 mechanical engineering students from three universities in Indonesia who were divided into an experimental group using simulation and animation modules (n=50) and a control group using conventional methods (n=50). The results showed that the use of this technology increased students' understanding by 25% compared to 10% in the traditional method, with a significant difference in the post-test (t(92)=3.87, p=0.0002, Cohen's d=0.79). The experimental group also reported a higher level of engagement (85% vs 62%) and a significant reduction in cognitive load (NASA-TLX: 32.4 vs 45.7). Qualitative analysis revealed that visualization helped students connect theory with practical applications, in line with the principles of Cognitive Load Theory and Cognitive-Affective Learning Theory with Media. Although effective, the study identified implementation challenges such as software development costs, educator training needs, and disparities in technology access across institutions in Indonesia. The study concluded that computer simulation and animation have transformative potential to improve the quality of mechanical engineering education, with recommendations for future development through the integration of immersive technologies such as Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality that support the Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate (CDIO) approach in preparing the workforce to face the demands of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang berhubungan dalam pelaksanaan proses keperawatan di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kabupaten Pidie. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang besifat kuantitatif dengan design cross-sectional study. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan faktor motivasi (α = 0,545) dan faktor kepemimpinan (α = 0,626). Simpulan, motivasi dan kepemimpinan yang didapatkan oleh perawat secara simultan memiliki pengaruh dalam pelaksanaan proses asuhan keperawatan.

Abstract

This study investigates the fatigue behavior of sugar palm fibre (SPF)-reinforced thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) composites with varying fibre contents (10 wt%, 20 wt%, and 30 wt%). The composites were fabricated using extrusion followed by hot press moulding. Tensile tests were conducted in accordance with ASTM D638 to determine the ultimate tensile strength (UTS), and fatigue tests were performed under stress levels of 80%, 70%, 60%, and 50% of the UTS, following ASTM D7791. The results indicate that an increase in fibre content leads to a reduction in both tensile strength and fatigue life, likely due to poor interfacial bonding and fibre agglomeration. Fatigue life was found to be significantly higher at lower stress levels across all fibre contents. These findings provide valuable information about the potential and limitations of SPF/TPU composites for applications involving cyclic loading, particularly in lightweight and sustainable material applications

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to implement and test the effectiveness of the multisensory learning model in improving students' imagination skills in writing poetry. The multisensory model is used to stimulate the imagination through sensory stimulation so that it can enrich the creative process of writing poetry. The method used is a mixed method with a quantitative pre-experimental approach (one-group pretest-posttest) and qualitative data support through observation, interviews, and documentation of poetry works. The assessment is carried out based on five main indicators. The results of the t-test analysis showed a value of t = 2.815 with a p-value = 0.013, indicating a significant difference between before and after treatment. These findings show that the multisensory model effectively develops students' imagination in writing poetry. Keywords: multisensory, imagination, writing poetry

Abstract

This study aims to determine the value of the sound absorption coefficient of cat tail fiber (Typha latifolia) with the effect of weight and pore size resistance of the test sample plate. In this case the researchers made 6 test samples where each sample consisted of cat tail fibers weighing 50 grams and 75 grams with a diameter of 110 mm and a thickness of 20 mm, the test samples were arranged in layers with aluminimum plate resistance which had a pore size of 1 mm, 1.5mm, and 2.5 mm. Tests were conducted using the impedance tube transfer function method (ISO 10534-2:1998) at frequencies of 1/1 octave (125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, 2000 Hz, 4000 Hz and 8000 Hz). The test results show that the sound absorption value at each frequency of each sample is relatively different. At a frequency of 125 Hz - 250 Hz the best sound absorption was obtained in the test sample with a pore size of 1 mm 75 g, at a frequency of 500 Hz the best sound absorption was obtained in the test sample with a pore size of 1.5 mm 75 g, at a frequency of 1000 Hz - 8000 Hz the best sound absorbing coefficient value occurred in the test sample with a pore size of 1 mm 75 g. From the graph it can be concluded that the pore size of the aluminum plate and density in each test sample can affect the sound absorption value.

Abstract

This research aims to design and develop coil heater technology as an alternative heat source to replace wood in the brick-firing process. The research methodology involves the design of an efficient and environmentally friendly coil heater and its implementation in the brick production process. In this study, the performance of the coil heater is analyzed to ensure that the generated heat is sufficient for the brick-firing requirements. The research findings indicate that coil heater technology is capable of providing the necessary heat to achieve optimal temperatures in the brick-firing process. Furthermore, the use of this coil heater technology successfully reduces dependence on wood as the primary fuel source. The implementation of coil heater technology in the brick-making industry is expected to make a positive contribution to the environment and the sustainability of natural resources. This research stimulates innovation in the development of alternative technologies that can reduce carbon footprints and improve the overall efficiency and sustainability of brick production processes.
