Abstract

This study was motivated by low student learning achievement, this is in line and can be seen from the phenomenon where most students show behavior when observed from the way students learn, there are still playful while studying such as chatting with friends and not taking notes of the material presented by the teacher. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of the school environment on the learning achievement of PPKn class XI students. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey method with a causal associative nature. The population in this study were class XI students of SMAS Karya Pengalihan, Indragiri Hilir Regency. Determination of the sample using the Slovin formula with a random sampling technique with a level of 5% so that the number of samples was 99 respondents. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with 19 statements. Based on the statistical test, it was obtained that the Fcount value ≥ Ftable (78.648 ≥ 3.94) and a significant value of 0.000 ≤ 0.05. So it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so that the School Environment (Variable X) has a significant effect on Learning Achievement (Variable Y). The results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination test of the influence of the school environment (X) on learning achievement (Y) were 44.8%, while 55.2% was influenced by other variables that were not examined in this study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisispengaruh investment opportunity set, kebijakan dividen dan pertumbuhan perusahaan terhadap nilai perusahaan pada perusahaan makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2019 -2021. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode pendekatan deskriptif. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder berupa laporan keuangan perusahaan yang diperoleh dari website IDX. Sampel yang diteliti sebanyak 21 perusahaan subsektor makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2019- 202 dengan Teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisi data dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Invesment Opportunity Set dan Kebijakan Dividen berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan sedangkan untuk pertumbuhan perusahaan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran kebahasaan dalam membentuk karakter peduli sosial pada siswa kelas VI SD Negeri 004 Rambah Samo. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas VI serta guru yang terlibat dalam kegiatan pembelajaran bahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan membaca cerita bergambar dan cerita moral meningkatkan kesadaran siswa untuk menolong teman dan berbagi. Kegiatan bercerita dan diskusi kelompok membantu siswa mengekspresikan pengalaman empati serta memahami perspektif teman. Selain itu, kegiatan menulis pengalaman pribadi atau cerita fiksi yang mengandung pesan moral mendorong siswa merefleksikan tindakan peduli dan menanamkan nilai kepedulian sosial secara lebih mendalam. Dengan demikian, pengembangan kebahasaan melalui membaca, bercerita, dan menulis terbukti efektif dalam menumbuhkan karakter peduli sosial pada siswa.

Abstract

This paper discusses an e-handout of STEAM-based circle material to improve mathematical connection skills at UPT SMP Negeri 41 Medan. The research and development design (R&D) uses the Thiagarajan model. The research results imply that the STEAM-based e-handout met the criteria of valid, practical, and improved mathematical connection skills. Material experts provided an average score of 81% (very valid), linguists provided an average of 80% (fairly valid), and media experts provided an average score of 100% (very valid). The average score of the teacher's response to the practicality of the e-handout was 75% (practical) and the student's percentage was 67% (practical), which means that teachers and students have a positive response. Mathematical connection skills at UPT SMP Negeri 41 Medan met the criteria of effectiveness. It is shown in the second trial in which the learning objectives that were achieved from the three mathematical connection indicators exceeded 75% and students’ learning completeness was 96%. The improvement in students' mathematical connection skills with an average N-gain score in trial I and trial II indicate an improvement score of 0.134. It can be concluded that the developed e-handout is valid, practical, and effective, as well as it can improve mathematical connection skills.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze in depth the level of understanding among Islamic Religious Education (PAI) students at the Islamic Institute of Nahdlatul Ulama (IAINU) Tuban regarding the concept of Ihsan and its implementation in community life. The urgency of this study is based on the strategic role of PAI students as future educators who are required to integrate spiritual dimensions and social ethics into their personalities. This research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive survey method. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire instrument that had been tested for validity and reliability, distributed to a sample of students selected through proportional random sampling. Data analysis was carried out systematically using descriptive statistics to calculate the mean value and categorization percentage across cognitive, affective, and applicative dimensions. The results indicated that the overall level of understanding of Ihsan among PAI students at IAINU Tuban falls into the low category, with a total mean score of 1.909. In detail, the affective dimension recorded the lowest score, indicating a weakness in the internalisation of spiritual consciousness, while the applicative dimension showed a slightly higher score but remained within the low category. It is concluded that there is a significant gap between the idealism of the Ihsan concept and the actual understanding of students in the field. These findings provide important implications for the need to reconstruct character-building strategies and the PAI curriculum, emphasizing the aspect of inner spiritual internalisation over mere formalistic cognitive knowledge transfer to produce graduates with authentic social piety.

Abstract

The implementation of the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3R) program in educational institutions plays a strategic role in fostering environmental awareness from an early age; however, its evaluation has often relied on descriptive approaches rather than objective data-driven analysis. This study aims to analyze the level of success of the 3R program implementation in schools and to identify the key factors influencing its success using a data mining approach with the C4.5 algorithm. A quantitative descriptive-analytic method was employed, utilizing primary data collected through observation and documentation of 3R program activities in schools. The data analysis followed the knowledge discovery in databases (KDD) process, including data selection, preprocessing, transformation, modeling, and evaluation. The results indicate that the C4.5 algorithm achieved a classification accuracy of 98.94%, demonstrating excellent model performance. The generated decision tree reveals that student participation is the most influential factor in determining the success of the 3R program, followed by parental involvement and teacher support. These findings suggest that the success of the 3R program is not solely determined by school policies, but largely depends on the active participation of key educational stakeholders. This study provides practical implications for schools and policymakers by offering a data-driven evaluation model that supports more objective decision-making and promotes the integration of environmental programs into the learning process within educational institutions.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed communication patterns in society, particularly among Generation Z, digital natives who use digital media as their primary means of interaction. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the factors shaping communication management among Generation Z, encompassing technological, psychological, social, and ethical aspects of communication. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review method, and was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results indicate that digital technology is a dominant factor shaping fast, flexible, and interactive communication. Furthermore, psychological factors such as the need for self-expression and social validation, as well as social factors such as environmental influences and digital culture, also influence communication patterns. Furthermore, communication ethics poses a significant challenge in maintaining the quality of interactions in the digital space. Therefore, strengthening digital literacy and communication ethics is necessary to enable Generation Z to manage communication effectively, critically, and responsibly in the digital era.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to analyze the Implementation of the Problem Based Learning Model and its Correlation to the Creative Attitudes of Students in the Chemical Bonding Material for Class X SMA Negeri 5 Tanjung Jabung Timur. Methodology: This research is a correlational descriptive with a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using an instrument in the form of an observation sheet on the implementation of PBL mode and students' creative attitudes. The data was obtained in the form of quantitative data and qualitative data. Quantitative data were tested by regression to see the significance of the effect of implementing the problem-based learning model on students' creative attitudes. While the qualitative data obtained were analyzed using the analysis of Miles and Huberman. Main Findings: The analysis results show that the implementation of the PBL model by teachers and students is included in the good category. The correlation coefficient obtained is 0.707, meaning that the relationship between the implementation of the PBL model and students' creative attitudes has a strong relationship level. The results of the t-test indicate that tcount > ttable is 5,295>2,048, which means that the implementation of the PBL model affects students' creative attitudes. Novelty/Originality of this study: Thus, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the implementation of the PBL model and the creative attitude of class X students of SMA Negeri 5 Tanjung Jabung Timur on chemical bonding.

Abstract

Fish processing activities in coastal communities often leave by-products that are not optimally utilized, including tuna bone waste. In Poklahsar Bubulla, Jambula Village, Ternate City, tuna bones generated from shredded tuna production were previously discarded, despite their potential as raw materials for value-added food products. This community service program aimed to strengthen partners’ production capacity through the application of appropriate processing technology and practical assistance in transforming tuna bone waste into marketable products. The program was implemented using a participatory approach through technical training, technology introduction, product processing practice, packaging assistance, and evaluation. The technologies introduced included a food dehydrator, flour milling machine, and vacuum sealer. The activities resulted in improved partner skills in processing tuna bone waste into fish bone flour and fish balls, better understanding of hygienic packaging practices, and stronger readiness to develop a small-scale business based on fishery by-products. Evaluation using pre-test and post-test among 11 participants showed an increase in the average score from 50.00 to 90.50, with an N-Gain value of 0.81 or 81%, categorized as high. The program also contributed to waste reduction and supported the creation of more efficient and sustainable fish processing practices at the community level. The findings indicate that appropriate technology adoption combined with community mentoring can enhance product diversification, increase the utilization of fishery waste, and support local economic empowerment.
