Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Teacher Leadership Program (PGP) on teacher competence, quality of educational services, and teacher performance in Temanggung Regency. The research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. A total of 171 teachers were randomly selected as samples from 309 PGP graduates. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Spearman’s correlation test. The findings indicate significant relationships between teacher competence, educational service quality, and teacher performance. However, the PGP variable demonstrated a negative correlation with teacher performance, although this relationship was moderated by teacher competence and educational service quality, which strengthened and shifted the relationship in a positive direction. The results highlight the importance of enhancing competence and service quality to maximize the impact of the PGP on teacher performance.

Abstract

Abstract

Pondok pesantren are increasingly paying attention to environmental issues, sustainability, and the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as striving to provide life skills for students (Santri) through training and self-development activities. This article explains the impact of utilizing a mini greenhouse to improve students’ agricultural skills through a community service program at Pondok Pesantren Al Asror Semarang, targeting 15 students. The activities were carried out over five months (May to September 2025) in the form of training and assistance in using the mini greenhouse. The training introduced the mini greenhouse and its benefits, after which the students worked together to prepare and build it within the pondok pesantren environment. The next activities included plant cultivation, starting from seed sowing, planting, and caring for the plants until harvest time, under the guidance and supervision of the community service team. The students were highly enthusiastic and motivated to make use of the mini greenhouse, and they received support from the pondok pesantren leaders to enhance their life skills. The students then continued using the mini greenhouse for organic vegetable cultivation, starting from sowing to harvest time.

Abstract

Teachers play a very important role in the success of education because they not only have the responsibility of delivering lesson material, but also must be able to be mentors, motivators, and role models for students. Teachers must have the achievement motivation to so they can be role models for students to progress and ultimately have a positive impact on the quality of education. However, teachers' motivation to achieve is still low, as can be seen from the low participation in various competitions, self-development, and writing books or scientific papers and learning innovations. This study examines the influence of work discipline, principal leadership, and work environment on the motivation to achieve of public junior high school teachers in group 01 in Semarang Regency, with innovative behavior as a moderating variable. Using a correlational quantitative design with SEM-PLS analysis on 154 teachers from a population of 250, the results show a significant positive influence of the three independent variables on achievement motivation. Meanwhile, the moderating effect of innovative behavior strengthens the influence of principal leadership and work environment on achievement motivation and weakens the influence of work discipline on achievement motivation.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of job satisfaction in mediating the influence of transformational leadership and school culture on teacher performance in public junior high schools (SMP Negeri) in Palembang City. Teacher performance faces challenges like limited teaching innovation and low professional development participation, influenced by inspirational leadership and collaborative culture. Data from 96 teachers used a validated 38-item questionnaire (r-calculated > r-table; Cronbach's Alpha > 0.90), analyzed via classical assumption tests and multiple regression. Results show transformational leadership (β=0.342, p=0.000) and school culture (β=0.259, p=0.000) significantly affect job satisfaction (R²=0.589), all influencing performance (R²=0.684, F=66.467, p=0.000), with job satisfaction mediating (Sobel Z=3.02; Z=3.05). Findings support Parsons' AGIL theory, recommending leadership training and inclusive culture enhancement. In conclusion, job satisfaction strengthens impacts on performance, urging educational management interventions.

Abstract

The sickle kick is one of the most frequently used techniques in pencak silat competitions and yields high scores, making kick speed a critical performance factor. A faster sickle kick is more difficult for opponents to anticipate, parry, or counter. Several physical components support effective sickle kick performance, including strength, flexibility, power, balance, and agility. This study specifically examined the contribution of leg muscle explosive power and balance to sickle kick speed. This research employed a correlational design involving 30 male athletes from the Pencak Silat Student Activity Unit of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), aged 19–23 years. Data were collected through tests and measurements, using the standing broad jump test to assess leg muscle explosive power, the standing stork test to measure balance, and a 10-second sickle kick speed test to evaluate kick performance. Data analysis was conducted using regression analysis to determine the contribution of each variable. The results revealed that leg muscle explosive power contributed 53.1% to sickle kick speed, while balance contributed 45.7%. When analyzed simultaneously, both variables accounted for 53.6% of the variance in sickle kick speed. These findings highlight the importance of developing leg muscle explosive power and balance within structured training programs to enhance sickle kick speed and overall competitive performance in pencak silat athletes.
