Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method in developing dribbling skills in soccer and its impact on students' tactical understanding and learning motivation. The research method used is a literature review, in which various scientific sources, such as academic journals, books, and conference proceedings from the last five years, are analyzed to identify the effectiveness of PjBL in the context of soccer learning. The findings indicate that PjBL positively influences student engagement in the learning process, enhances technical dribbling skills, and deepens tactical understanding of the game. Students who learn through this method are more active, highly motivated, and able to apply dribbling strategies in real-game situations compared to those using conventional methods, which tend to be repetitive and lack contextual relevance. However, challenges in implementing PjBL include the need for intensive guidance from teachers and a longer adaptation period for students with lower basic skills. Therefore, a flexible teaching strategy is necessary to tailor projects to students' abilities, ensuring optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

This article examines the implementation of Project Based Learning (PJBL) as an innovative approach in the development of soccer passing skills. This research is motivated by the significant gap between the mastery of passing techniques in isolated training and application in real game situations in young Indonesian players. Conventional methods that rely on repetitive drills and one-way instructions have proven to be less effective in building players' contextual understanding and adaptive abilities. Through a qualitative-descriptive approach, this study analyzed the process of transforming the theoretical concept of PPA into field practice at three football schools in Central Java over a six-month period. The results showed that the implementation of PPA involving video analysis projects, collaborative training session design and thematic-based tournaments improved the passing accuracy (23.4%), decision making (31.7%) and tactical understanding (27.5%) of 13-15 year old players. Another important finding was the increase in intrinsic motivation and team collaboration as a positive impact of a more autonomous and contextualized learning approach. Key barriers to implementation included limited resources, coaches' resistance to methodological change, and challenges in the development of authentic assessments. The article concludes that PPA offers an effective pedagogical framework in bridging the theory-practice gap in learning.

Abstract

Physical activity plays a vital role in maintaining metabolic health and preventing various chronic diseases such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Metabolic responses to exercise vary across different age groups, influenced by physiological changes such as decreased muscle mass, insulin sensitivity, and aerobic capacity. This study uses a systematic literature review method by examining studies discussing metabolic changes during and after exercise in various age groups. Searches were conducted through databases including PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and Consensus using keywords such as metabolic response to exercise, age-related metabolic adaptations, and exercise and metabolism across lifespan. The studies analyzed included metabolic measurements such as oxygen consumption (VO₂), energy expenditure, insulin sensitivity, and fat and carbohydrate metabolism. The review showed that younger individuals generally have higher metabolic efficiency compared to older adults, although exercise benefits all age groups. Energy expenditure increases with exercise intensity, but no significant differences were observed across age groups during low to moderate intensity exercise. High-intensity interval training (HIIT) significantly increased fat oxidation in middle-aged adults. Additionally, older sedentary individuals exhibited higher postprandial triglyceride levels than younger or more active individuals. The timing of exercise also influenced metabolic responses: morning exercise was more effective in enhancing lipid metabolism, while afternoon workouts were more optimal for improving insulin sensitivity.
