Abstract

Menuntut ilmu merupakan kewajiban tiap muslim laki-laki dan perempuan. Ini bukan merupakan doktrin agama semata, melainkan telah dipraktikkan jauh ketika Islam sempurna turun di atas dunia. Dengan menelusuri sejarah dunia Islam, kita dapat mengetahui bahwa banyak sahabat dan ulama di masa lalu yang telah mempraktikkannya.Salah satu tradisi dalam menuntut ilmu dikenal dengan istilah rihlah ‘ilmiyah. Dalam tulisan ini akan dibahas tentang pengertian rihlah ‘ilmiah dan faktor yang mendorong perkembangannya, praktik rihlah ‘ilmiah dengan mengemukakan beberapa sampel ulama baik dari luar maupun dalam nusantara, serta bagaimana peranan rihlah ‘ilmiah dalam dunia intelektual. Rihlah ilmiah dimaknai sebagai setiap perjalanan yang bertujuan untuk menuntut ilmu, mencari tempat belajar yang baik, mencari guru yang lebih otoratif, atau juga perjalanan seorang ilmuwan ke berbagai tempat, baik secara formal untuk melakukan aktivitas akademik maupun tidak.Praktik rihlah ilmiah ini di antaranya dilatarbelakangi oleh perintah agama, tersebarnya para ulama, bantuan dan fasilitas yang luar biasa dari pemerintah, dan lain sebagainya. Adapun fungsi rihlah ilmiah dalam dunia intelektual, yaitu: sebagai usaha untuk mencari guru yang baik, sebagai sebuah cara untuk memperluas wawasan, sebagai modus penyebaran ilmu pengetahuan serta sebagai perajut kesatuan peradaban Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of pedagogical and professional competence of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers on the effectiveness of religious learning management at MAN 2 Model Medan. The research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 30 PAI teachers at MAN 2 Model Medan, covering aspects of pedagogical competence, professionalism, and the effectiveness of learning management. The results show that both pedagogical and professional competence of PAI teachers have a significant impact on the effectiveness of religious learning management. Teachers with strong pedagogical competence are able to create more effective teaching strategies, while their professionalism supports the overall success of the learning process. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the school continue to enhance the training and development of PAI teachers’ competencies to improve the quality of religious learning management at the school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode pembelajaran Fiqih Mawaris yang diterapkan di Madrasah Aliyah Tarbiyah Islamiyah Kecamatan Hamparan Perak, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Fiqih Mawaris sebagai bagian dari ilmu Fiqih memiliki tingkat kompleksitas yang tinggi, sehingga memerlukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang tepat agar siswa dapat memahami dan menerapkannya dengan baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan guru mata pelajaran Fiqih dan siswa, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran yang digunakan masih bersifat konvensional, yaitu ceramah dan penugasan, dengan sedikit penerapan metode kontekstual atau praktikum. Meskipun sebagian siswa mampu memahami konsep dasar pembagian waris, namun secara umum efektivitas pembelajaran masih tergolong sedang. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya variasi metode, minimnya media pembelajaran yang mendukung, serta keterbatasan waktu alokasi mata pelajaran. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan inovasi dalam metode pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan kontekstual guna meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi Fiqih Mawaris.

Abstract

Education is a complex system, where education is not only about students but also about the learning process, media, and teachers. Teachers are a crucial component of education because they are responsible for designing the learning process so that lessons can be effectively received by students. Therefore, teachers are required to possess competencies that support their performance. This study aims to explore the pedagogical competence of teachers in the Islamic religious education learning process at Muhammadiyah Private High School 02 Medan. The focus of this research includes: (1) How is the pedagogical competence of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers in the learning process at Muhammadiyah Private High School 02 Medan, (2) How is the IRE learning process at Muhammadiyah Private High School 02 Medan, (3) What are the obstacles faced by IRE teachers in the learning process at Muhammadiyah Private High School 02 Medan. This research is a qualitative study. The data and findings obtained were processed and described based on the author's narrative. The data sources were primary sources, namely the Principal, IRE teachers, and students, as well as secondary sources obtained from documents and photographs related to Muhammadiyah Private High School 02 Medan. The researcher acted as a participant. Data collection procedures included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the pedagogical competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers at Muhammadiyah Private High School 02 Medan is considered fairly good. Teachers are able to understand student characteristics, design learning materials, and manage the classroom effectively. The IRE learning process is carried out interactively with varied approaches such as lectures, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions, although there are still some limitations in utilizing innovative learning media. The obstacles faced by IRE teachers include a lack of supporting facilities and infrastructure, uneven student learning motivation, and limited time to cover material comprehensively. Nevertheless, teachers continue to strive to improve the quality of learning through reflection and independent competency development

Abstract

The pedagogical competence possessed by teachers will make education the first step towards teacher success in educating students in school. This study aims to analyze the implementation of pedagogical competence that will be implemented by Islamic religious education teachers with the hope of being able to increase teacher competence by producing quality students with high, effective and efficient learning abilities. The research method used in this writing is a qualitative method with observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques. In this study, the informants were the principal / vice principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers and students at SMAN 7 Binjai. The results of this study are 1). Islamic Religious Education teachers at SMAN 7 Binjai carry out pedagogical competence quite well with efforts to improve the quality of student learning supported by the school by providing facilities for the development of effective, innovative and creative learning and teaching activities. 2). The teacher's pedagogical competence is implemented in accordance with the learning plan that has been prepared by the Islamic Religious Education teacher. 3). Students are very receptive to learning to be creative and improve their enthusiasm and quality of learning very well.

Abstract

The challenges of modernity have eroded spiritual values in Islamic education, so a classroom management strategy is needed that balances academic achievement and religious character building. This research examines religious classroom management innovations in improving the quality of student learning at Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Tarbiyah Islamiyah. The focus is on the school's innovative strategies in creating a religious learning atmosphere, conducive, and supportive of students' character and academic development. The research method uses a phenomenological qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results show that spiritual-based classroom management through the integration of Islamic values, worship habits, and strengthening the spiritual relationship between teachers and students can create a positive and meaningful learning environment. This strategy has an impact on improving discipline, learning motivation, and academic achievement. The findings corroborate Vygotsky's social constructivism theory that emphasizes the importance of social and cultural interactions in learning, as well as Islamic education theory that places spirituality at the core of forming a whole person.

Abstract

Memorizing the Qur'an often faces challenges related to the diversity of students' learning styles. Each individual has a different way of learning, which is caused by differences in intelligence types. Therefore, an approach that accommodates this diversity of intelligence is important in learning, one of which is the Multiple Intelligences approach developed by Howard Gardner. This approach emphasizes that every individual possesses various types of intelligence that can be optimized, such as linguistic intelligence, musical intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, and intrapersonal intelligence. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Multiple Intelligences approach in Qur'an memorization learning, focusing on the potential application, strategies, and challenges faced in its implementation. The method used is a qualitative case study approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the application of learning strategies tailored to students' dominant intelligences has a positive impact on improving Quran memorization. The implications of this study suggest that the Multiple Intelligences approach can enhance Quran memorization outcomes and students' learning motivation, consistent with Howard Gardner's theory of Multiple Intelligences.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi manajemen religius berbasis digitalisasi di MAN 3 Langkat dengan melihat aspek-aspek yang telah berjalan dengan baik serta mengidentifikasi berbagai tantangan yang dihadapi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian antara lain: (1) Perencanaan pembelajaran yang terstruktur: Penyusunan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) dan persiapan materi atau bahan ajar metode, serta perangkat-perangkat digital yang dibutuhkan. (2) Pengorganisasian kelas yang kondusif: Pengaturan tempat duduk yang bervariasi dan dikelompokkan berdasarkan jenis kelamin sehingga menghindari kedekatan dengan lawan jenis. Ruangan kelas bernuansa hijau dengan pencahayaan yang cukup, hiasan dinding dengan kaligrafi Islami dan slogan-slogan positif, serta jadwal piket untuk membersikan kelas setiap hari. (3) Penerapan nilai-nilai religius: Kebiasaan guru dan peserta didik, seperti bersalaman, berdoa, membaca surah Al-Quran, berpakaian yang sopan dan menutup aurat, mendidik dan memotivasi peserta didik, menjaga akhlak serta komunikasi yang baik. (4) Penggunaan digital dalam pembelajaran: Memanfaatkan infocus, laptop, dan smartphone. Platform digital seperti e-book, geogebra, youtobe, quizizz, google forms, serta google drive dan e-learning dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Cooperative Learning method in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak at SMA IT Jabal Noor and its impact on improving students' understanding and character. The Cooperative Learning method was chosen for its ability to encourage student interaction, increase engagement, and deepen material comprehension through group collaboration. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the Cooperative Learning method in the Aqidah Akhlak subject is carried out through several steps, namely forming heterogeneous groups, assigning material discussions, group presentations, and learning reflections. The use of this method has been proven to increase students' active participation, strengthen relationships among students, and facilitate understanding of the moral values being taught. However, there are several challenges, such as differences in students' levels of understanding and time management in group activities. The conclusion of this study suggests that teachers should be more creative in designing Cooperative Learning-based teaching strategies and provide intensive guidance to ensure all students can contribute optimally. Thus, the implementation of this method can bring greater positive impacts on teaching Aqidah Akhlak at SMA IT Jabal Noor.

Abstract

The inculcation of Islamic religious values, particularly concerning noble character (Akhlaq al-Karimah), in children is essential. This effort requires the involvement of various elements, not solely relying on formal educational institutions. It becomes more effective when families and communities are actively engaged. The family environment, often referred to as the first and foremost setting for a child's education, plays a critical role. In fostering values of goodness and virtue, parents are encouraged to communicate closely with their children. Parents should ideally serve as role models in all aspects of life for their children. Beyond their role as leaders, parents are primary educators within the household. Ideally, parents should guide, educate, train, teach, and exemplify behaviors that shape their children's character and support their learning activities. In the specific context of Lau Gumba Village, where Muslims are a minority, children are particularly vulnerable to the influences of non-Muslim peers. Additionally, the community's socio-economic conditions and the educational background of parents contribute to varied parenting styles. Some families provide significant attention to their children, while others tend to neglect the importance of family education, placing full responsibility on schools. Consequently, many children exhibit weak religious values. In this village, some children neglect their five daily prayers, fail to fast during Ramadan, consume alcoholic beverages (tuak), smoke, and adopt negative behaviors influenced by their environment's traditions
