Abstract

The shifting of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) wavelength has been observed during in situ measurement in polymer light emitting diode (pLED). Examination is performed using an pLED sample which has an ITO/PEDOT:PSS/MEH-PPV/Au structure. When the voltage bias is increased from 0 to 9 volt the SPR wavelength shifts from 612 nm to 628 nm and the absorption curve shifts to lower absorbance value. From the theoretical analysis, it can be understood that the change of the SPR dip and the absorption curves correspond to the change of dielectric constant of the MEH-PPV layer. These results show that SPR wavelength depends on the metal and air dielectric constant as well as on the MEH-PPV layer. These results also imply that the SPR wavelength being evaluated can be controlled by varying the voltage bias.

Abstract

Antibiotics have recently gained in popularity due to their usage in medical treatment and the process of removing them from the environment. Amoxicillin is one of the antibiotics that constitutes the study's subject. On a Pt disc electrode and a cobalt hydroxide modified-Pt electrode, the scan rate and pH in the electrochemical oxidation of amoxicillin were investigated. The voltammetry measurement's current peak revealed that changing the electrode surface could increase the electrochemical response and sensitivity of the working electrodes. The Pt/Co(OH)2 modification working electrode had a high sensitivity in the electro-oxidation determination of amoxicillin, with a linear range of the sensor of 20 to 80 M and a limit of detection of 7.15 M for the Pt disc electrode and 3.64 M for the cobalt hydroxide modified Pt electrode. The findings of determination in real samples with electro-oxidation using a modified electrode were in good agreement with a confidence level of 95 percent, according to the comparing method with HPLC.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan pengetahuan guru tentang pembuatan Subject Specific Pedagogy (SSP) M-Learning bermuatan karakter dan karya tulis ilmiah. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM ini dilakukan dengan mengadopsi empat langkah action research, yaitu: perencanaan tindakan, observasi dan evaluasi, dan refleksi. Peserta pengabdian sebanyak 36 orang yang merupakan guru dan anggota PGRI Kabupaten Kayong Utara. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan secara luring di PGRI Kabupaten Kayong Utara Kalimantan Barat. Hasil PKM melalui pelatihan pembuatan SSP M-Learning bermuatan karakter dan karya tulis ilmiah disimpulkan sebagai berikut: (1) guru sangat memahami dalam penyusunan SSP terutama dalam mengintegrasikan pilar pendidikan karakter di dalam proses pembelajaran melalui pembuatan RPP; (2) guru sangat kreatif dalam pembuatan bahan ajar yang bermuatan karakter; (3) sesama guru aktif berdiskusi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran khususnya dalam masa pandemi Covid-19; (4) guru memahami dengan baik cara membuat karya tulis ilmiah sebagai syarat kenaikan pangkat guru; dan (5) peningkatan pengetahuan tentang pembuatan SSP M-Learning bermuatan karakter dan karya tulis ilmiah sebanyak 94,44% guru.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan penelitian penentuan diazinon dari sampel tanah pertanian di beberapa kecamatan Kabupaten Nganjuk Jawa Timur menggunakan elektroda kerja tembaga amalgam padat (CuSAE) secara diferensial pulsa voltametri (DPV) dibandingkan dengan metode kromatografi. 100 g sampel tanah pertanian yang dihaluskan dengan ukuran 100 mesh diekstraksi menggunakan aseton. Ekstraksi dilakukan menggunakan ekstraktror soxhlet dengan 10 kali sirkulasi. Hasil ekstraksi sebagian ditambahkan surfaktan SDS untuk dianalisis secara voltametri menggunakan elektroda CuSAE dan sebagian dianalisis menggunakan kromatografi cair kinerja tinggi (HPLC). Analisis voltametri dilakukan pada pH 3 dengan elektrolit pendukung CaCl 2 menggunakan standar adisi, sedangkan analisis dengan HPLC menggunakan grafik standar. Berdasarkan data voltamogram dan kromatogram yang telah diolah dengan program origin 7.0 menghasilkan perolehan kembali rata-rata diazinon (97.40 ± 1.02) % pada voltametri dan (100.98 ± 7.10) % pada HPLC. Analisis diazinon kedua metode dibandingkan dengan uji t (t hitung = 0.4785 < t tabel = 2.31) sehingga tidak ada perbedaan hasil antara metode voltametri dan HPLC.ABSTRACTThe research has been done for determination of diazinon in agricultural soil samples from several districts n Nganjuk, East Java . Solid copper amalgam (CuSAE) used  as a working electrode using differential ulse voltammetry (DPV) compared with chromatographic method. Around 100 g sample of agricultural soil ith a size 100 mesh was extracted using 100 ml acetone. The extraction was done using extractor oxhlet with 10 times the circulation. A part of the extraction  yield  was  added SDS surfactant for analysis by DPV,  and another part analyzed  by using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Voltammetric analysis carried out at pH 3 with CaCl2 as a supporting electrolyte   using standard addition method, while the analysis by HPLC using calibration curve (standard graphic).Based on the data from voltammograms and chromatograms after processing data using Origin 7.0 programme, the  average of  recovery of diazinon found to be 97.40 ± 1.02 % and 100.98 ± 7.10 % using voltammetry  and HPLC methods, respectively. The results from both of methods compared using t test  (t count = 0.4785 < ttable = 2.31). Therefore, there is no difference between the results from voltammety method compared with HPLC method.

Abstract

A microbial desalination cell (MDC) built on a modified surface has been studied for seawater desalination. The goal of this study is to provide and develop a seawater desalination system that does not require energy support by applying a modification of the anode as an electron acceptor. The different potential charges that occur between anode and cathode can serve as the driving force for electrodialysis of seawater, resulting in its desalination. Yeast has been applied as a biocatalyst and neutral red has been chosen as a redox mediator to facilitate the electron transport originating from the bioactivity of cells. Several types of surface modification have been conducted, i.e., biocatalyst-mediator immobilisation and electropolymerisation of neutral red at the anode surface. The optimisation of each device has been characterised by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry. It has also been observed in a microbial fuel cell (MFC), prior to being functioned in the MDC. The concentrations of salt ion migration have been determined by ion exchange chromatography. This study found that the best configuration of a modified surface was obtained from carbon felt coated by polyneutral red film (CF/PNR); this generated the maximum value of all tested parameters: 42.2% of current efficiency; 27.11% of bio-devices efficiency; 92.5 mA m-2 of current density; and 61% of NaCl transport. Moreover, the modified surface could be a promising method for improving anode performance.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara di dunia yang kaya sumber daya mineralnya, termasuk unsur logam tanah jarang. Sayangnya, teknologi untuk memurnikan unsur tanah jarang tersebut belum mumpuni. Salah satu teknologi terbaru saat ini dalam bidang pemisahan adalah dengan teknik mengimpregnasikan senyawa ekstraktan terhadap resin, yang dikenal dengan metode SIR. Senyawa pirazolon dan turunannya diketahui dapat digunakan untuk mengekstrak sejumlah ion logam salah satunya adalah ion logam tanah jarang. Pada penelitian ini, senyawa HPMBP telah berhasil disintesis. Senyawa tersebut digunakan sebagai ekstraktan untuk mengekstraksi ion logam tanah jarang dengan menggunakan metode SIR. Untuk menentukan kemurnian dan kesesuaian dengan yang diharapkan maka dilakukan karakterisasi baik secara fisik maupun kimiawi terhadap senyawa hasil sintesis tersebut yang meliputi: uji titik leleh, TLC, HPLC, karakterisasi gugus fungsi dengan spektroskopi IR, dan NMR. Tahap berikutnya yaitu penyiapan SIR yang dilakukan dengan cara mengamobilkan senyawa HPMBP pada  Amberlite XAD-16. Rasio berat HPMBP terhadap XAD-16  yang dapat diamobilkan yaitu 3 : 2. Selanjutnya, produk SIR tersebut digunakan untuk ekstraksi La+3, Ce+3, dan Gd+3 dalam media HNO3 0,1 M sebagai fasa air dengan cara batch. Kondisi pH optimum untuk ekstraksi La+3, Ce+3, dan Gd+3 secara berurutan diperoleh pada  pH = 3,1 ; pH = 2,19 dan pH = 1,70.

Abstract

Polypyrrole (PPy) is widely regarded as a useful electrode material because it has the advantages of low cost, high electrical conductivity, and thermal stability. This study aimed to synthesize PPy membranes using polyphenol oxidase (PPO) isolated from white oyster mushrooms as a biocatalyst for processing textile wastewater. The membranes were produced through the electropolymerization of pyrrole (Py) using the electrodeposition method. The raw materials comprised 0.05 M Py and crude PPO white oyster mushroom extract at 35% v/v in citrate buffer pH = 6.8. The electrolysis process was performed at 6.00 V and 1.063–1.142 A using 16.57-48.97% immobilized PPO in PPy, PPO activity of 1.640–4.160 U, and 0.35 mM phenol as a substrate. The results showed that the use of the membrane in textile wastewater with a discontinuous flow caused a decrease of pH by 14.86%, phenol by 6.80%, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) by 81.30%, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) by 78.25%, and Total Suspended Solids (TSS) by 20.65%. Meanwhile, using the sample with a continuous flow caused a decrease of pH by 23.97%, phenol by 26.09%, COD by 88.50%, BOD by 78.00%, and TSS by 65.70%. The physical performance of membrane application to textile wastewater with discontinuous (flow rate = 48.19–51.50 L/h, flux = 3191.6–3387.5 L.m-2.h-1, and permeability = 319.2–338.7 Lm-2.h-1.bar) and continuous flow (flow rate = 48.19 L/h, flux = 3191.6 Lm-2.h-1, and permeability = 319.2 Lm-2.h-1.bar) was also assessed in this study. The Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) image was used to assess the morphology of the membrane before and after its application.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an instrument to improve conceptual understanding of number operation materials owned by prospective teachers at IKIP PGRI Pontianak. This research is a development research. The subjects in this study are students in the third semester of the Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Education, Mathematics and Technology, as many as 20 students who were randomly selected. The main instrument is the researcher himself, while the supporting instruments are the task of number operation problems and interview guidelines. Data analysis is carried out descriptively on all data obtained. The results of the analysis show that the form and type of learning instrument that is suitable for improving students' conceptual ability, especially in the interpretation ability in number operation material, is a multiple-choice sample problem unit. Students' interpretation skills in number operations material are not good because they still have the opportunity to understand and apply the concept of operations on numbers. Learning instruments in the form of units of multiple-choice questions of the second type are practical to be applied with the aim of improving students' conceptual abilities, especially interpretation skills in number operation materials

Abstract

Copper (Cu) is widely utilized as an electrode material due to its high conductivity and relatively low cost. This study aims to develop nanocomposite-modified Cu electrodes using polysulfone (PS), chitosan (CS), glutaraldehyde (GA), and zinc oxide (ZnO) to form PS-CS-GA/ZnO-NP modified Cu electrodes. The nanocomposite was prepared in the proportions of 48.8% PS, 24.4% CS, 24.4% ZnO, and 2.4% GA using the phase inversion method. The characterization of the PS-CS-GA/ZnO nanocomposite-modified Cu electrode was conducted using cyclic voltammetry with a 0.01 M K3[Fe(CN)6] in 0.1 M KCl. The cyclic voltammogram profile was obtained at a scan rate of 25 mV/s, exhibiting an ipa/ipc ratio of 0.93 within a potential of -1.5 to +0.4 V vs Ag/AgCl over 15 cycles. The FTIR spectrum of the PS-CS-GA/ZnO nanocomposite thin film displayed a peak at 1668 cm-1, indicating the presence of C=N groups, which suggests a cross-linking interaction between CS and GA.
