Abstract

21st-century education requires students not only to understand content but also to be able to think critically and solve problems. Innovation in learning strategies is needed to increase student engagement and understanding. The flipped classroom learning model is here to overcome this. The flipped classroom-based learning model is a student-centered learning model that increases learning effectiveness. Thus, it is necessary to conduct a study on the flipped classroom learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills. This study aimed to determine the results of a literature review study on implementing the flipped classroom model in Indonesian language learning. The SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method was chosen in this study. Data was collected by documenting and reviewing all articles on Indonesian language learning outcomes with the flipped classroom learning model. A total of 10 articles in the last 5 years obtained from Google Scholar and other sources were used in this study. Based on the literature review, there is an increase in students' critical thinking with the application of the flipped classroom model in Indonesian language learning. This is due to supporting factors: using the flipped classroom learning model and interactive learning media. Implementing the flipped classroom learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills in Indonesian language learning. Educators can use this model as a learning innovation to achieve learning objectives quickly.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation, improvement of learning outcomes, and student responses to speaking skills through the application of the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model, supported by audio-visual media and video editing, in the teaching of news texts in Grade VII B at SMP PGRI 1 Denpasar during the 2023/2024 academic year. This classroom action research involved 33 students, with a focus on Indonesian language learning outcomes. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and student response questionnaires, and then analyzed descriptively, both qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students' speaking skills. The average class score in the pre-test was only 54.69%, which increased to 70% in the first cycle with the implementation of the PBL model assisted by audio-visual media. Further improvement was observed in the second cycle, where the average score reached 80.15% with the addition of video editing support, and all students met the criteria for learning objectives achievement. The success of this research was also corroborated by positive student responses to the PBL model.

Abstract

This study examines the linguistic landscape in the Sanur tourist area, Bali, as a representation of social, cultural, and ideological dynamics in the context of tourism globalization. Sanur as a multilingual public space displays the diversity of language use on signs, banners, billboards, and shop facades that reflect the interaction between local and global languages. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, an analysis was conducted on visual documentation and the social context of text use in public spaces, and linked to regional language preservation policies, especially Bali Provincial Regulation Number 1 of 2018. The results of the study show the dominance of English as a symbol of global economic power and the main communication tool in the tourism sector, while Balinese is used more symbolically as a local cultural identity. Ideologically, the Sanur linguistic landscape shows the negotiation between cultural preservation and the commodification of local identity amidst global market pressures. This study emphasizes that public space is not just an arena for communication, but also a field of representation of power, resistance, and cultural capital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) bagi guru di Green School. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi serta menggunakan teknik analisis data snowball. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan pembelajaran BIPA di Green School melibatkan analisis kebutuhan yang adaptif, tes penempatan berdasarkan CEFR, penyusunan silabus yang disesuaikan namun dengan fokus reseptif, serta penyesuaian bahan ajar, khususnya melalui penambahan kosakata sehari-hari dan penyederhanaan teks bacaan untuk pemelajar dewasa. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dilakukan dengan menerapkan pendekatan campuran (eclectic) oleh pengajar yang memadukan berbagai strategi pengajaran komunikatif dan kontekstual sesuai konteks kebahasaan pemelajar. Evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan secara formatif melalui tugas-tugas di akhir sesi dan sumatif pada akhir program berupa tes lisan dengan penutur asli, yang secara khusus menekankan keterampilan berbicara namun juga mengidentifikasi tantangan pemelajar dalam struktur kalimat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Melaya dengan memanfaatkan media Magic School AI serta respons siswa terhadap pemanfaatan media Magic School AI dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, tes, dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media Magic School AI secara signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa, terutama dalam aspek keterpaduan dan organisasi cerita serta penggunaan kalimat dan tata bahasa. Rata-rata nilai menulis cerpen siswa meningkat dari 67,2 pada pratindakan menjadi 72,2 pada siklus I dan 76,9 pada siklus II. Skor rata-rata respons siswa meningkat pada siklus I sebesar 25,1 dengan kategori sangat positif menjadi 26,9 dengan kategori sangat positif
